Shocking this could happen on a brand new car! Even more shocking, there are no parts on hand to fix it, ten days later, still in shop. I read the previous complaint with pretty much the exact problem. Wondering if this is going to be a fleet issue? Also, somewhat leery about driving the repaired vehicle......I mean, if I ever get it back............
Update from Feb 5, 2015: Received my vehicle on Monday with new parts. Today (Thursday) steering is locked up again. I don't think this is a maintenance issue at the dealer. Have been told somewhere the communication system is misfiring. This is a huge safety issue
Update from Feb 7, 2015: After almost two weeks in the shop, we got the vehicle back. Steering system was replaced. We drove it for two days and steering locked up again. I am not feeling good about this at all. Chrysler is now involved.

Three days after getting the vehicle back with a new transmission, the power steering froze 4 times on my way to class this morning. The first time it happened, I pulled out of my apartment complex into a sharp right curve. The power steering froze right at the beginning of the curve, and the car jerked heavily to the left. Luckily I had both hands firmly on the steering wheel, otherwise this would have resulted in a head on collision with another vehicle.
This car has 25,000 miles on it. At this point, I'm doing EVERYTHING I can to get out of it. From this problem to the other problems I've had, I do not feel safe driving this vehicle, not even to and from work.
