Rough transmission since date of purchase. Shakes, sometimes jerks into 1st.

Yet another issue in the 2015 Jeep Cherokee. To go along with the lunging when downshifting and the non-acceleration when hitting the gas this problem is really awful and has been a problem since I purchased the car. I did call and complain on this issue and the dealer said it is completely normal. When accelerated between 16-21 mph the car wobbles and shakes. It feels as it the one of the wheels might fall off. It is really hard to explain. If you floor it from the start you won't feel it as much, it just happens when you drive normally.

Nothing hurts more than spending well over $30k on a new car and then learning that the vehicle has been broken from day one. Since the first week of owning my 2015 Jeep Cherokee I have had issues with the transmission. I have now taken it to the dealership TWICE to have the computer upgraded. The upgrades were supposedly going to fix whatever was causing the gears to shift roughly, stick, and vibrate. Though I have seen marginal improvements with the upgrades, I am still experiencing trouble.
I'm SO SO SO SO disappointed in Jeep. I am now telling everyone I know not to waste their money and time on a Jeep, (I have missed so many billable hours waiting at the dealership to get work done on my car. I am now on a first name basis with the dealership staff; unacceptable!)
My hope is that Jeep will contact me and offer to buy my car back. (If you work for Jeep corporate and have the power to help me, please, please contact me.)

My Jeep Cherokee transmission became faulty shortly after I purchased the vehicle. Several additional problems developed with the transmission over 2 years that I have owned it, Jeep refuses to repair any of the problems, even ignoring safety issues. I have been to 3 different Jeep dealers looking for solutions.
The first problem started with less than 1,000 miles on the vehicle. When starting out from a stop and turning the transmission vibrated excessively. The dealer claimed it could not replicate the problem. This problem has become less noticeable after 9,000 miles of driving. The second problem started at about 2,000 miles. The transmission does not shift out of first or second gear when starting out on a slight grade requiring the engine to run at 4,000 RPMs for miles in 25 mile per hour speed zones. It will not shift until the speed limit is increased above 40 miles per hour or the road levels out. The dealers know about this problem but say there is no fix for it unless the transmission has a hard failure. The next problem appeared at approximately 4,000 odometer miles. The transmission fails to downshift intermittently when stopping, staying in high gear after stopped for several seconds. Approximately 10% of the time when I try to start out the vehicle won’t move, even with the accelerator pressed as much as 30% for about 2 or 3 seconds and then it slams into first gear causing the vehicle to lurch forward unintentionally. This problems is certainly the most bizarre issue the Jeep has to date. It’s extremely hard to predict how to merge with traffic because it is intermittent and timing when the Jeep will move is a guessing game.
I have to imagine that Jeep has the worst transmission on the market currently. I can’t say too much about their service either. I would never buy another vehicle from Chrysler or Jeep. Over the years I have had vehicles that were on their last legs, 15 years in service that performed better than my 2015 Jeep Cherokee.

My service transmission light turned on as I was driving in from out-of-town. Then noticed the engine was struggling to go up the hills. So, I called to schedule and get this checked. They said come in next Monday and continue driving your Jeep it's probably resetting we'll work out the kinks. Yesterday, Wednesday I was at a stop sign and the engine started making a grinding sound and jerking, so I called the dealership, now they are sending out a towing truck. But they won't give me a rental car until they diagnose the problem. Really?!!! Meanwhile just sit tight!
I travel for a living, and decided to buy a new vehicle so that I have something reliable. That was the reason I purchased a new vehicle, now I'm reading all these similar complaints. No telling how many people never bothered to post their problem. Not happy at all. I will be escalating this to get another vehicle.

On acceleration usually after its been driven for longer than 20 mins, I have this extremely annoying shake or shimmy or vibration in the front end that goes away after reaching higher speeds.. But it doesn't do it every time! super annoying for the service writer at the car dealership.

Bought a 2015 Jeep Cherokee new with drive train warranty. It starts shaking and lost power when on highway. Had it towed to our usual Jeep dealer. Told valve spring on 5th cylinder cracked. Valve fell into cylinder and may have damaged piston. They want to fix spring (over $1200) and then do compression test to see how much damage done. Likely need new engine. Vehicle is 2 years old with 130,000 km.
Been in touch with Bolton Jeep and FCA. 2 weeks later...they offer 'good will gesture' to pay for 1/2 of car rental and $1000 of repair. When I go to accept offer, they rescind offer and ask that I have car towed away. I suspect its because I bring up that if compression test fails and there is further damage, that they fix problem at no further charge to me. Obviously they know there will be more to the story and want to wash their hands of it. We have 2 other vehicles and have bought many used and some new vehicles in past. It's not usual for us to drive vehicle well over 250,000 km with only regular/minor repairs. Will never, ever buy a Chrysler product again. Useless engineering!
