Check engine light came on. Car started stalling after shifting gears, as if it was in neutral instead of drive and/or reverse. Wasn't reaching speeds easily. Rpms at 60 mph was 3.5 an I couldn't get over 62.

At highway speeds with cruise control set, the cars transmission and engine RPM would increase to as much as 5500 RPM during deceleration. Speed would fluctuate as much as 12 mph (increase or decrease from set cruise speed). Dealership has had vehicle in their possession for two months and still has two open recalls that have been unresolved. Dealership has failed to fix or replace vehicle.
- Ellsinore, MO, USA
When turning around the vehicle makes a weird noise and the brakes are not stable while trying to brake it doesn't respond immediately pulling forward the car.

Was at a 4 way stop sign getting ready to pull off when vehicle stop working. Tried to recrank the vehicle but it took 5 minutes to start again. Called dealership and took it to the service department. About a week and a half later vehicle started having issues again. Vehicle started to stall and have a very slow take off. Take off was so slow until I had to sit 15 minutes before take off.

Transmission has serious delay in downshifting when you step on the gas peddle when you need to speed up for any reason especially to pass another vehicle. This is all the time weather in city or highway. It seems the transmission can't make its mind up on what to do and what gear to downshift to.

The contact owns a 2019 Jeep Cherokee. While driving approximately 15 mph, the vehicle stalled and an unknown electronic symbol illuminated. The vehicle was taken to crowley Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram (860-261-3000, located at 1461 farmington ave, bristol, ct 06010) where the software was upgraded, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the same dealer and an unknown failure code was located. The dealer also diagnosed and replaced the engine. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to file for an arbitration. The contact filed for an arbitration. The failure recurred and the same dealer installed a flight controller to track the failures. The contact later received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 18V739000 (power train). The vehicle was repaired per the recall and the contact stated that the vehicle "appeared to be repaired"; however, she wanted the vehicle replaced. The failure mileage was unknown.

My car continues to stall intermittently. I received my car back from the service department on 31-Oct-2019. Later that day, on my way home from work, my car stalled going approximately 25 miles per hour. The vehicle lost all power and came to a stop on the 405 freeway. I was in stop and go traffic, which may have saved my life since other vehicles were driving slow and at times stopped. This allowed me some time while I attempted to restart the vehicle. It re-started and I made it home.

Vehicle will not fully engage into "drive". vehicle will jerk and lunge for about 5 seconds before it is fully engaged into "drive". happens most often on cold start ups after the vehicle has sat for at least 2 hours.

While stopping at a stop sign, the D on the gear shift started flashing. I lost the ability to accelerate and the car started rolling backwards. I had to stop, turn the car off and restart it. Upon taking it to the dealership they said it didn't throw any codes and to bring it back it if happens again.

Driving up a hill to a stop sign and once I reached the top of the hill at the stop sign the vehicle shut down. The battery light came on the dashboard. No other lights. Was able to put in park and restart the vehicle. Vehicle ran rough right after this happened. I was only a couple blocks from my home so pulled into my garage and shut the vehicle off. Let it sit a couple minutes. Restarted it and drove it a few blocks. Everything seemed ok. Called dealer and reported the issue. Setup a time to have it looked at when they were going to replace the transmission valve body due to shifting issues they diagnosed on a prior appointment. When I received the vehicle back after they looked at it and replaced the transmission valve body, they indicated they could not find anything wrong. This is very dangerous and upsetting because I see there was recall for this exact same issue of stalling out. However, my vehicle is not part of the recall because it does not fall within the production start and ending date timeframe? seems to me Jeep is just trying to save money and getting away with not repair additional vehicles that are unsafe. This is just wrong.

A week after buying the vehicle I started to feel it shift rough and hard. Can literally hear it shift like metal on metal. Got progressively worse and took it to the dealer. Was told need a new transmission valve body. This is very disheartening. A brand new 2019 vehicle. I did research on this car before I bought it. It seems the 2014 and 2015 models were the ones with the transmission problems. There was not much complaint-wise after those years, so I thought I would give it a shot as the vehicle was reasonably priced and had everything I wanted. Well, it seems this 2019 is experiencing the exact same issues as the 2014 and 2015 models. They ordered the transmission valve body and had it installed. It somewhat helped with higher gears but it struggles finding lower gears still and there is severe hesitation when slowing down and then accelerating. Very hard to clear intersections when making left turns and it slammed into first gear very hard one time slowing down and then pressing the accelerator. Very dangerous to drive. You can also hear it shift loudly when it down shifts to first gear, again like metal on metal as I stated above.

The contact owns a 2019 Jeep Cherokee. While driving at an unknown speed, the vehicle experienced a total loss of acceleration and transmission power. The contact stated that the vehicle felt as if it were stuck in neutral gear. The vehicle was towed to teterboro Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram (469 us-46, little ferry, NJ 07643 (201), 440-0222), but the cause of the failure could not be diagnosed. The manufacturer was contacted and stated that the ABS module failed. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred twice. The contact stated that the brakes seized and there was a total loss of transmission and acceleration power. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where a case manager was assigned. The manager had not called the contact back and the contact's request was escalated to a supervisor. The contact requested the vehicle be returned and exchanged. The manufacturer provided a case number and stated that the analytical department would call the contact within 24 hours. The failure mileage was 350. Consumer stated incident happened 3 times. Takara recall just bought this vehicle a month ago and it's has been turning off on few times while driving on the highway with my family. It's not awhile I'm at the stop sign or light, it's while I'm actually driving. I had to press the button again in order to turn back

Vehicle is shutting off while driving, causing loss of steering and everything else in the vehicle. This has happened twice. Once at 30mph, and at 50 mph. Luckily I did not wreck or hit someone. This vehicle isn't safe to drive. Someone is going to be killed if this is not fixed. This seems to be related to a recent recall by fca affecting other 2019 Jeep Cherokee models. That states: The power train control module may fail and the customer will experience a no start, a start and immediate stall condition, or engine stall while driving.

I ready took my car 3 times to Chrysler dealer, the issue is while I was driving the car shut off 5 times on the last 3 weeks, the dealer told me they cannot duplicate the fault so I need to keep driving like that, but what about if this happens on the freeway I will crash. I feel unsafe and the dealer don't want to do anything because they cannot duplicate the fault and is not a check engine light, and I ask what about if something happens to me or my family and they respond with Chrysler will cover everything.

Within a 2 weeks after I bought the Jeep, while driving my brand new Jeep Cherokee trail-rated, going over speed bumps at a very low speed 3-5 miles ph, I heard a grinding noise coming from the transmission. Took the Jeep back to the dealer and was advised that the manufacturer, Chrysler, had installed a brand new type of transmission, they found no problems at this time. Again within 2 days, I had to bring the Jeep back to the dealer and this time I was advised that the technician validated my concerns and performed a transmission quick learn 5060 WC90. Part # count: Claim type w. in order words my complaint was valid. Another week later, again brought my Jeep to the dealer and two days later I received a phone call from the dealer telling me that they couldn't find the noise and for me to come to the dealership and drive my Jeep with the manager in order to reproduce the noise. I am not making up the noise but now after the validated the fact that there was a manufacturer problem due to the fact that it is a new transmission, now they can't find the noise, there is most definitely a serious problem and there are no recalls at this time for this problem. I anybody has a similar issues, please let everybody know!!!!!!

The transmission takes far too long to downshift when called upon for a quick drop in gears. When driving at highway speeds or even normal city speeds, when you need to change lanes for a quick pass of another vehicle and push the accelerator to the floor, the vehicle is left waiting for 2 to 3 seconds for a downshift with only coasting power, no acceleration. This lag time for a downshift & application of power clearly needs to be addressed because it is hardly safe or reasonable.
