Oil cooler leak, leaking oil down back of engine, onto skid plate. Parts are on national backorder. Failure is a common issue that seems to occur with the poor manufacturing of the cooler plug.

On more than 1 dozen occasions my Jeep has stalled while driving anywhere fm 20 to 40 miles an hour. I lost steering control and brakes while the rest of gages stayed on. After the first few times I figured out I could throw in neutral, hit the ignition button and it starts right back up. Chrysler Jeep told me this was a "relay " recall for over 1 1/2 years that they had no repair for. So they just kept replacing trhe part. I would get anywhere fm 2 wks to few months with the "new, bad part" the reall repair came in last week. After replacing it, I made it 2 days before I stalled again. This time on an exit ramp doing 30 miles an hour around a sharp turn.I (and my 13 year old son) went off the road into a ditch. I had to use 4 wheel drive to get out. I casued minor F=damage aswell. This time! I keep telling them it's only matter of time before I die or kill someone when this stall happens. I have had a rental or been with out a car for at least 5 weeks of this last year alone for this recall failure. I look online and there are hundreds of websites and links to Jeep Grand Cherokee that have done this. How many ppl have to wreak or die to get someones attention?? I have filed this complaint a few years ago.

For the past few weeks, my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee has been stalling while driving. The first time it happened, I was in a line of traffic, had just come a up a hill, I pressed the gas pedal, my car bucked, and then my car "stalled". thankfully, we kept coasting, because, like I said, we were in a long line of traffic going 50 mph on a major road. I pulled over, shut my car off, turned it back on, and was able to drive us the two miles to get back home. I no longer feel safe driving my two children in my Grand Cherokee, therefore my husband has been driving my car and I've been driving his. So far this week, the Grand Cherokee has stalled six times while my husband is driving, usually while he is accelerating to get onto the highway. There is a recall on the Grand Cherokee; 19V-813, which describes a faulty fuel pump relay. However, there is no fix available through Jeep. We have contacted several authorized Jeep dealers in the our area and no one will offer any assistance that relates to the recall. I believe that the problem is not just the fuel pump relay, but the totally integrated power module or tipm. I'm having numerous other electrical problems with my Grand Cherokee, but none that pose such a safety hazard as the stalling. I have been reading other Grand Cherokee owner complaints, and many site this is the problem, stating that they have had their fuel pump relay fixed, but theur car is still stalling. My other car problems are as follows, which point to the tipm: While key fob in within vehicle, dash stating key isn't in car or fob is damaged, car turns on but shuts back off quickly on its own, the A/C only works on the passenger side of the car, the tire pressure light blinks constantly though pressure is fine, the "service 4 wheel drive" warning comes on while driving, but shuts off when car is turned off, and check engine light comes on and off.

Vehicle has been under recall since December 2019 which I have tried servicing many times but keep being told no parts are available. So I have been dealing with the car either not starting the first time or even at all, stalling right after starting and stalling while in motion. My Jeep has stalled while doing 70 mph on the highway, leaving me in a panic to try to get to side of the road as fast and as safe as possible. My Jeep has stalled at a intersection where other cars had to go around me, it has stalled several times while driving anywhere. The breaking point for me was that on 6/11/2020 I was driving down a busy street in the city doing 50mph and my Jeep stalled out and the only thing I could do was get into the middle turn lane, I had called my mom through my bluetooth in the car to let her know I was stuck and needed help since I had my two small children with me, as we where talking a car came into the turn lane almost hitting me head on at 50mph. My mom heard us all scream as we thought we where going to get hit. My car has been in and out of the dealership since that day and I am still having problems with it stalling while I'm driving! Our Jeep continues to stall while being driven, making it very unsafe as the power steering and power assisted brakes stop working when the engine stalls. This is the subject of several recalls, most recently V62/NHTSA 19V-813 issued a year ago. What is happening to correct this dangerous fault with our Jeep. We have experienced multiple stalls since 2015 failed recall and they continue to this date, always while braking and mostly while also turning to the right.

Vehicle stalled while driving in highway traffic at about 40 mph. Lost ability to steer as power steering quit working. There is a year-old recall to fix fuel pump relay problems but fca, the manufacturer, has yet to provide dealers with the parts needed to fix this problem. This is totally unacceptable as we have continued to drive this vehicle since we do not have, nor can we afford, another vehicle. Please pressure fca/Jeep to provide parts to dealers immediately. When driving my vehicle I lost all engine power, I no longer had control of the vehicle.luckily I was driving in a parking lot at the time and going at a relatively slow rate of speed so I was able to pull over and shut the car down. I tried to start the car again and it did start on it's own. The car continually stalls during start up and has now started to stall and shut down while driving. I brought it to an auto body shop where they informed me I had a faulty fuel pump which I then discovered was recalled by Jeep. When I tried to bring the Jeep to an authorized dealer to have it repaired they informed me that they did not have the part, it had not been made available to them. This was the same with 2 other dealerships I called. I also called the corporate number and was told the part was not yet available and they would not assist me with a rental or loaner vehicle while waiting for the part. (recallrelated incident)

The vehicle was traveling at approximately 40 mph on a traditional two lane country road. As I approached a left handed turn, I pressed the break pedal and instantaneously lost power steering and power breaks. The vehicle became difficult to control and drove off the road into a small grass field. After coming to a stop, I looked at the dash and realized the tachometer showed 0 RPM indicating the engine had stalled. At first, I was unable to restart the vehicle because the shifter was still in drive. The vehicle restarted with no hesitation once the shifter was moved to park. The P54 recall has previously been completed. Fca has been informed and the vehicle was inspected by a Jeep dealer. The recall for V62 is still in development and the vehicle has since received the temporary interim repair. I have decided to park the vehicle until fca can reassure the vehicle is safe to drive.

2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee has a recall (fca# V62) NHTSA recall # 19V-813 for a fuel pump relay. Per the recall, failure of the relay can result in a stall and a no-start condition. Jeep (fca) does not have a fix for this problem and because of this my Jeep either will not start or stalls without warning. Jeep dealer and fca are not offering any resolution. What options does the consumer have in this case. Please advise.

Grand Cherokee

The leather covering on the dashboard shrank, crumpled and wrinkled popping the air vent coverings out. The problem not only restricts air flow (defrosting, etc) it also may prevent the deployment of airbags. It looks horrible and decreases the value of my car, but it presents safety issues. The company has acknowledged the problem and approved my vehicle for repair, but they have also restricted the number or repair kits available and I have been waiting for months and am told it could be months more. They will not give a date.this was a manufacturing defect. I need it to be fixed and they have deliberately restricted the number of parts available to customers with defective automobiles. In addition, my vehicle has a fuel pump relay recall. This part has also not been available for months and has no predicted delivery date. I don't believe it is acceptable to acknowledge the issues, then deliberately slow production of the parts required for repairs. Both the dealership and fca customer service say that there is nothing they can do for me. Obviously this issue needs to be addressed at a higher level, but there is not an option for that in the phone tree. I need my car fixed.

This complaint is in regards to safety recall V62 where the fuel pump relay causes a stall while the vehicle is in motion. My car has regularly been stalling whiling I'm driving in traffic for well over a year. I have been in touch with fca several times telling them of the risk I am in on a daily basis and asking about when parts will become available for this recall. It has been almost a year since the recall has come out with no progress. The stalling has almost caused several accidents and has put me in harms way every time I drive; I am constantly maneuvering to avoid a collision and the only reason an accident hasn't happened yet is because of how over defensive I have to be while operating the vehicle. Fca even tried doing a temporary fix but the car stalled within 24 hours of this attempt. I am very concerned for the safety of my family and others whenever I'm operating this vehicle. Note, below you asked for a date of when this happened; it happens almost daily for well over a year. I put today's date because this is the most current date that the vehicle stalled while I was driving in traffic and nearly missed being hit by a car coming up behind me at a very high rate of speed. I am still shaking from the near miss of being hit and seriously injured.

For the last month the vehicle has stalled while driving and in some cases would not start. I recently discovered that there is a safety recall V62 fuel pump relay problem in the model. I have been told that the fix for this problem will not be available until December. I use the car daily and for long trip and fear it is a safety hazard. Chrysler recommends bring the car in for a temporary fix which is worrisome.

Jeep stalls while driving down the road and huge safety concern for my daughter. It also does not start all the time until you try it 3 times. It stalls when vehicle is in motion and I understand there is a recall for the fuel relay that is causing this but no fix. I was sent to dealer who put new part on for the time being until fix is available but it did not make a difference. Stalled the next day while turning off of busy road and a truck was behind me and coming to the corner I lost use of power steering which almost caused a crash. This recall has been unrepaired for an unacceptable amount of time.

Vehicle died while driving 8/21/2020 on hwy 68 and at hwy 74 at 27265 nc while driving 45 mph through a construction zone. Had it towed off the road to me house then towed to the dealer. Could not get it off the road due to construction. Had to leave it in the road until flat bed showed up. Engine began to shutter then stopped. Would not re-start at all. Sometimes would start like it was only running on 1 or 2 cylinders but then would not cut off all of this happened during 5 O"clock traffic.filled a complaint earlier on this vehicle about starting issues exactly like this. The recall on this issue has not been resolved by Jeep been way to long for them to resolve this issue. It is at the dealer and I assume it will cost me a pretty penny by the time it is done. They seem to always find a way to generate a bill even on a recall. I am so tired of dealing with Jeep. This oem should not be able to let this go this long. I work for Volvo another oem company and when we have a mqr (quality issue) it is the top of the list to be resolved and delivered to the customer. I quess it takes inury or loss of life and a law suit to get it to happen.

Vehicle has stalled a number of times also has failed to start many many times. Vehicle has stalled on city road below 50 mph had to pull off and attempt to re-start. Has stumbled on highway a number of times. Hard start setting still is a common issue under many conditions. The so called first recall placing an external fuel relay has been done did not fix anything. This vehicle is a hazard in many ways. If it fails in a bad location it could lead to los of life or injury. Also if the need to start the vehicle at a moments notice is needed, it would be an issue in most cases. I find it unacceptable that Jeep has not repaired this issue. Will it take lose of life or injury to force them to repair the issue"?" I have received notice of the recall many many month ago, solution is still listed as no solution.
