My engine light has decided to light up in my Jeep randomly one day after starting it. After scanning it, it shows code P0522. The research I have done has shown it usually shows the oil light when it is that code. So as a result, I have had my oil changed again and I have ordered a oil pressure sensor/sender hoping that will fix all my problems which will be installed next Sunday (7/7/2019). I also had to change the water pump because it had a crack in it, the thermostat just for precautionary measures, and the belt because it had a tear in it about half the size of the width. All of this to try to figure out the problem with the engine light and the scanner showing the code P0522. So we will see if that actually fixes the problem.

Alternator failed due to recall. I was not notified of this until after having failed and needing to be towed after being stranded on the side of the road in the middle of the night. All the cars functions had completely failed. The car was unable to be moved to a safe place, doors were locked, leaving my dogs locked and gated into the cargo area until lowing assistance arrived. Since the alternator was fixed I have had multiple visits to the dealership for replacement of battery, Jeep failing two more times while driving down the road, needing additional towing assistance. Multiple electrical malfunctions continue to occur, including: Forward collision warning, "brake warning flashing for no apparent reason. The passenger side heat failed needing to be replaced. All of the seat heaters within the vehicle have failed needing to be replaced. Most recently the drivers seat move forward function has stopped working, make the vehicle difficult and unsafe to drive as it is not at the appropriate drive distance. Contact to dealer to discuss fixing issues as they are electrical and most likely due to recall of the alternator. Jeep dealer declined that it was a related issue and that Jeep are known for these issues. Car is felt to be unreliable and unsafe to continue to drive at this point with the unknown reasons and causes for the recurrent malfunctions.

Starting issues, starts up and quickly cuts off. All lights and power are on. Plenty of fuel in tank but not overfilled. I think it is the fuel injection area. I worry it will just cut off due to that while driving. This has happened at least 3 times in the past 3 weeks, it is becoming more frequent.

Takata recall while I'm driving the vehicle it will shut off. I will put it in park and it starts back up. This is unsafe because I can be driving in traffic or be in an intersection and it just shuts off. I've taken it to have a mechanic look for any readings and nothing is coming up. It also shuts off while trying to start the vehicle up for the first time. It takes several attempts, again nothing coming up when taken to the mechanic.this has been going on for almost a year.

Car's tipm has been messing up. They say there hasn't been a recall on my model for that and another says it has been fixed. My car won't start at times, my horn honks at random times and just today my car stalled while on the interstate. I know the tipm had been a problem with these vehicles but I cant get any help with mine without paying out of pocket. I've about had it with my Jeep.

Our 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee overland has started cutting off while in drive, without warning. There are no indicator lights on and the radio continues to play as normal. The only way you know the vehicle is off is by looking at the RPM display now at zero or because you can no longer use the power steering. After putting the vehicle in park and re-pushing the start button, the vehicle starts up as normal. This issue has happened on five (5) occasions and is the scariest thing ever!! after the first time this happened, we took the vehicle to the dealership to be told there weren't any codes coming up to signify that there was a problem with the vehicle and a tune up was suggested. We went months without the issue occurring, but it has started happening again. We've encountered this issue on city streets and once while taking the off ramp on the highway.

4 times in the last 3 weeks, the last time just today, as I was decelerating and turning right while getting off highways onto exit ramps, the steering wheel felt like it locked - the power steering turned off, as did the power brakes - I had to coast, and the rpms showed 0, although all the lights were still on. I was forced to put the car in park - while still on the exit ramp - turn off the car and turn it on again to get it to drive normally. Which it did, as if nothing had happened. But it's unnerving and certainly unsafe, and a quick search on the internet reveals it seems to happen quite frequently to other Jeep Grand Cherokee 2012 drivers.

Leather dash coming up and forcing plastic heater covers to come into sight of view while driving, all carbon fiber trim around dash and all doors is not sticking and has cut, poked and injured other and myself. Some of the trim is vary pointy and really sharp and if does not stay down makes a risk of impaling someone, poking out an eye or worse. Was told a recall was on it and already performed, but clearly was not fixed even after recall. Dealership wants to charge alot of money to repair since they say it was already in for the same recall.

1. Jeep dies for no reason when decelerating it happens at highway speeds when taking the foot of the gas it last happened on highway 1 on a big curve, steering and brakes lost power on a cliff side road.(scared me and the family 1/2 to death) it has happened on the dumbarton bridge in commute traffic it also happens when decelerating on off ramps or coasting to stop lights. You need to completely stop the car put it in park and press on the brake to restart it. This in traffic is also dangerous Jeep says 10 things may cause it and they will not fix try any of then because they cannot pinpoint which one it is. 2. cruise control slams on the breaks for no reason. Another dangerous problem no cars in front of me, open highway, no overhead bridges or guard rails in sight and the brakes slam on.

Fuel pump, recall done but not effective. Almost three times a week, the Jeep Grand Cherokee does not start or stalls right after starting. This is when I am parked and will just keep cranking and not start. The dealer wants to charge me to replace the fuel pump and does not acknowledge the recall is faulty. Driving on the highway, the car stalled on me for no reason and then took 5 minutes of cranking to finally start again. Luckily I was not in the middle lane on I95. At first it happened once or twice a week, now it is almost everyday.

A ticking noise coming from the engine area. When accelerating the ticking gets louder. Had noise checked by mechanic and it was the lifter and rocker arm. Had some replaced, this would be the third time. I have a 3.7 engine V6 Grand Cherokee and found that Dodge has a recall for the charger, which is the same company.
