Emergency Light stating "Service Electronic Throttle Control " that caused Engine Light to come on. These Electronic warnings cause vehicle to go limp and unable to drive or move causing severe danger on the road when vehicle just shuts down. It is a software issue and requires software flush and update, this issue is so common, dealership knew what i was going to say before I even said it. Recall needed to prevent a wreck and fix before issue shuts down vehicle, and should be recalled to prevent owner's financial repair for a software glitch needing updated by car maker.

I drove 3 miles to work and pulled into parking spot turned car off went to get out of car and noticed I was over the line started car back up and put it in reverse went to back up and it jumped into park tried it again went back a little and it jumped back into park so I tried putting it in drive and it jumped back into park then I was stuck in the middle of the road and not able to move back In the space I got it in reverse and it would go a little bit and back in to park now it is towed to dealership and they can-??t find the problem

Left head cyclinder in engine cracked with coolant leaking to engine. 2011-2013 were extended on warranty for this but not the 2014 yet. To fix the 1 issue apparently requires replacing several other parts resulting in a astronomical bill. When got back from getting checked out the engine now makes a ticking sound. Also gear shift issues where the car will say in desired gear and won't go into park and stall out. The second was a recall but my VIN was not included. Gear shift issue happens at random and has left me in the middle of the street.

The contact owns a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving various speeds, the vehicle shifted from drive to neutral inadvertently. The contact notified neal auto company greenwood (922 us-82, greenwood, ms 38930) of the failure and was informed by the dealer to contact NHTSA. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 124,000.

Service shifter warning comes on every time I start my Jeep and then goes away. This is a known issue that many Jeep owners have complained about. It is also very expensive to fix if no longer under warranty. I was told by my dealership this was not covered under my warranty and quoted $1400 to fix it. This should be Jeep's responsibility as it is a hazard when this warning appears while driving. Please look into this problem there are so many complaints listed online for this. I had taken it in to our local mechanic he said the head needs to be replaced there is a current recall and extended warranty out now with the same problems but our Jeep is not on the VIN list (pentastar tic) is what our mechanic called it.

On Monday, January 22, 2021 around 3 pm, I was driving on the freeway and my Jeep automatically shifted into neutral and the words 'auto park' disabled appeared on the screened. I immediately shifted it back into drive and continued drive and exited and went to a gas station. I turned it off, pumped gas and turned it back. When I tried to back up, it immediately shifted the car into park. I called the nearest dealer and asked what it could be? they checked for recalls and said that recall for a similar defect was already repaired on my vehicle, maybe it was low on transmission fluid. They also recommended looking to see if any other 2014 Jeep had experienced the same problem. This is the first time my vehicle has ever done that. I asked if it could be related to the extreme cold. I contacted Chrysler and the representative said make an appointment and take it to a dealership. I have scheduled the appointment.

Hello, my vehicle has had a number of recalls for emissions and drive train. Due the number of modifications by Jeep, my vehicle's performance has been negatively affected to a point that sometimes it is dangerous to drive. Every software update results in lower mileage and sluggish performance. Now Jeep is slow rolling egr recall and letting a dangerous situation to develop.

With the vehicle running, in park, on a slight inclined driveway, rolled backwards until foot break was engaged. Only made less than 1 foot before operator intervention. Removed foot from manual break, approximately 3 minutes later, the vehicle rolled backwards again while in confirmed park. Again, less than 1 foot before operator intervention. Note: A slight amount of snow/ice was present on the drive, however both driver's side wheels were free of snow/ice during the occurance, vehicle is 4WD. I have not parked on an incline since the occurance.

I have took my vehicle for a shifter recall. They did a programming they said and that it should have fixed the problem. I explained to Chrysler capital about how my vehicle would shift into neutral after throwing itself into other gears. I would have to turn off the vehicle and begin driving again. We were driving down the road and the car went into neutral. We were stuck on the middle of the road while we tried to get it to go back into drive. If this would have happened when we were turning out in front of a car or on a bridge it would have been really bad and more than likely caused a bad wreck. Everywhere I read says these cars a now for the shifter problem but doesn't appear to have a recall for my exact VIN. We had to stop driving the car because we are scared it is going to get us in a wreck. The Jeep dealer near us said that we need a new electronic shifter. It is on back order until early February. What can we do to get this replaced free of charge because this is a major safety issue and could cause horrible wrecks. We were driving down the road getting ready to turn onto and I70 on ramp when the car just went to neutral and stopped. The car was stationary for maybe a couple of minutes while we tried to get it back in gear and drive straight home. We got lucky we did T get hit by a semi truck because it is a very busy area because there are 2 truck stops that drive through there.

I have been going down the road 3 different times at a normal speed 55 and it down shifts to a lower gear on its own.the only way I can get it out is to make a complete stop and put it in neutral or cut the vehicle off and restart.
