A message displayed in our screen that the 911 car phone needed servicing and to contact the Jeep dealer. At that point the gps malfunctioned, the front and back defrosters started to function at full speed at 78 degrees and absolutely none of the radio functions were useable. Uconnect sent Jeep dealer an update for the radio and the update failed. We were told our Jeep needed time the radio to be replaced. But we could only get a refurbished radio and there weren't any available. It has been 4 weeks and uconnect informed us that there has been an additional delay on the refurbished radio. We requested a new radio be installed and a rental car provided to us until the radio is fully functioning. We are informed by both Jeep dealer and uconnect there is nothing that can be done for us until the refurbished radio becomes available. This is totally unacceptable. A new radio vendor should be used. Uconnect is inadequate to service their product in a timely fashion, cannot provide a new radio replacement in stock, and only can offer refurbished radio replacement and cannot give a date when one will be available. We live in Illinois but are vacationing in California and our car is stuck on 78 degree defrosters.running full speed. No gps or any other features associated with the radio.

No low battery warning light, only show a warning if alternator is bad and not charging battery. Thus, car can stop without warning due to low battery because of wear and needing replacement- without warning. When this happens, everything in car works on electricity can cause a very bad accident if stops in traffic. Also, with no key override when the car electrical module will not read to the key fob if you are in or out of the car you can not open doors or windows or turn on or off anything, if doors/windows locked when this happens this is very dangerous-no way to get out or in. If stuck in the desert without help and car module stops picking up key fob one is sol. Lots of complaints online. Very unhappy with the fact that Chrysler creates recalls only for a select few when they know that they continue to use the same faulty technology on most of their cars they build. My rear door module stopped working and I had to replace it and it cost me over $500. When going online I see that Chrysler had a recall for this problem for older models but would not cover the newer years although they used the same faulty technology on them as well. Fortunately, I had just parked my car in the garage and did not lock the doors so we could still get in it and have it towed.

The contact owns a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. While driving 35 mph, the low battery voltage warning indicator illuminated, the windshield wipers activated, and the display screen went blank. The contact heard an abnormal noise before the engine turned off. The contact made multiple attempts to start the vehicle, but was unsuccessful. An independent mechanic stated that he could smell smoke from the alternator. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence. The contact called marburger Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (located at 1310 E dixon blvd, shelby, nc 28152, (704) 484-0049) to notify them that the vehicle was experiencing failures similar to what was listed in NHTSA campaign number: 17V435000 (electrical system). Driver side air conditioner blows hot air even when temp is set as low as 63 degrees while the passenger side works normally. Service rep at dealership informed me that this is a common problem with Jeep vehicles. Was told repairs could be over $1000. If Jeep knows that this is a reoccurring problem, why should I have to pay for their error?

Vehicle does not reliably start when the brake and engine button are pushed. The dashboard lights up, but there is no message and vehicle fails to start. I often have to try 3-4 times to get the vehicle to start, ultimately having the key at the push start button. Key fob batteries have been replaced several times, star case was opened, and win module replaced. Vehicle has been in for service many times for this issue, which remains. Chrysler case management is well aware of the issue. The only "possible" connection found is an incompatibility with cup led lighting and key fob technology. In addition to being frustrating, it is a safety issue.

Lasts over a minute - not even on cold days! have had it looked at - state can't duplicate the oeuvre (of course because it's always the first start up! rough idle every 2-3 minutes, transmission shifts hard out of first gear. Pour fuel economy as well. Maintenance has been done. Just bought the car - several issues

Jeep randomly stalls driving on freeway and/or jerks when downshifting. Vehicle also downshifts hard from 8th to 6th gear, all other gear shifts are fine. While driving at 60 mph vehicle stalled when accelerating to speed up. Vehicle attempted to downshift from 8th gear when stall occurred. Once vehicle was stopped it started back up without issue to destination. It has chugged 5 separate times when downshifting on freeway in the 7 weeks of owning car, this time it completely died. No check engine light or other indications of engine/transmission failure. No failures recorded to onboard computer. Gas tank 3/4, outside temp 38, oil temp 180, transmission temp 140; normal accessories on including lights, radio, heater, seat warmer low. All recalls up to date including campaign UC1.

The contact owns a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. While driving out of the parking lot, the vehicle shut off and the insufficient battery charge indicator illuminated. The failure recurred and the vehicle was towed to ron carter Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram of league city (281-668-5383, located at 3535 gulf fwy, dickinson, tx 77539). The dealer stated that the vehicle was included in NHTSA campaign numbers: 17V435000 (electrical system), 17V572000 (service brakes, service brakes, hydraulic), and 18V332000 (electrical system, vehicle speed control). The vehicle was kept at the shop for the recall repairs. Four days later, the dealer still had not completed the repair, stating that the gear was stuck in park. 2018 - "service shifter" message pops up. Over $1000 I had to pay to replace it as it was just outside of warranty time. Past few years, in cold weather, the suspension creaks and cracks noises. Just yesterday, February 2019, less than 5 years old, "service air suspension immediately" pops up on my way home on interstate. Very bumpy ride all the way to my local dealership. I feel I was lucky when I made it, as the tops of the rear tires were angled inward. Apparently, one air suspension "bag" blew out. This resulted in the pump/compressor burning out. Having to replace both bags at the same time and the pump, over $4,300 repair for something no fault of my own and for something that should only happen in cars that are much older in my opinion. Looking online, appears to be many complaints about this. Will Jeep address this issue and maybe "recall" this system so we can be reimbursed? I am about to switch brands as soon as I get this one out of the dealership service dept and anyone else I ever come across who wants to buy a Jeep, I will tell them the horror stories from my current overland, my previous overland, with its 2011 model issues, and my unlimited Wrangler issues before that. I don't hear any issues like these from friends and family with other brand vehicles.

The contact owns a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that the service shifter indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to stockton Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram (3333 auto center cir, stockton, ca 95212), but it could not be repaired because there was not an active failure code on the vehicle. The failure occurred several times. Also, while driving the vehicle, the instrument panel screen went black and all the indicators illuminated. The vehicle was towed to lodi Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (1255 beckham rd, lodi, ca 95240) multiple times, but they could not diagnose the cause of the failures. The dealer stated that the vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 13V483000 (service brakes, hydraulic, electrical system). The manufacturer was contacted. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 68,000.

While in motion, on my way work, my 2014 Grand Cherokee summit with 3.0 L turbo diesel engine, 220 amp alternator and 49000 miles experienced a loss of power steering, battery light came on, voltmeter showed no charging of battery. My electronic indicator system stated the vehicle went into battery saver mode with a loss of ABS, heating and ventilation, air suspension system, all safety enhancements such as park sense, no electronic transmission system changes and check engine light came on. There was a recall on gasoline engine 2014 Grand Cherokee along with others (Chrysler recall T36) and I have seen another complaint similar to mine sharing the same engine on this sight. I do believe this is was caused by catastrophic alternator failure. A new battery was installed and the battery light is still on and still in battery saver mode( an indicator also of no charging) and volmeter indicates no charging. I will be replacing the alternator tomorrow.

I have owned 5 Jeep Cherokee and this has to be a lemon.I purchases it new. I have had many many recalls, most major. Recently I heard water splashing under the passenger seat, which resulted in water coming into the passenger side flooding the carpet. I was told that the box holding the battery was where the water was located. They have been working on it for two days and can not find where the water is entering. Now they are preparing to remove the trim for a possible location. They checked with my extended warranty company and they said this was not covered. I am afraid this issue will cause a fire in the vehicle since the water is entering the electrical system. I was told no recall from Chrysler addresses this major issue with Jeep, even though is is common. I am afraid to look at my bill if they ever find the leak. We have been having major rain here in Georgia this year and it is not used very much, so it was stationary when this happened. I was told this was a very difficult task to find where the water was entering the vehicle, and they had many Jeep vehicles with similar issues. I have no idea when I can get my vehicle back. I cannot upload photos as they have the vehicle.

Complete electronic and communications failure of instrument panel from unknown electrical shortage resulting in loss of control over transmission shifting and most control switches like windshield wipers, turn signals, emergency flashers and brake warning like is on that I believe indicated no ABS. Experienced this problem many times driving on I-75 in Michigan and Ohio. Very dangerous situation while on the road without any prior warning. Initial warning is "service shifter soon" followed by "no bus". after multiple trips to the fca dealer, root cause not identified and more fix to date. Suspect the electronic shifter malfunctioning but no help from dealer service department. Reoccuring problem for the past 9 months. Current mileage is 79,000 miles with VIN # (xxx) 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. No accidents or aftermarket add on work ever. I fear for my safety driving this vehicle to Florida for retirement on 1-25-2019 through 1-29-2019. Again, no resolution from golling Chrysler or from fca star case #57876853. I fear this vehicle is not reliable at this point for short or long distance driving. Information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

The vehicle was taken to stockton Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram (located at 3333 auto center cir, stockton, ca 95212, (209) 956-1920) to be diagnosed, but a failure code could not be located. The vehicle was not repaired. In addition, while driving on the freeway, all the warning indicators on the instrument panel intermittently illuminated. The vehicle was taken to lodi Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (located at 1255 beckman rd, lidi, ca 95240, (209) 263-3999) where thirteen codes were found, but not a failure code. All thirteen codes were reset. The vehicle was not repaired.
