The vehicle has no heating, I-??ve taken the vehicle multiple times to the dealership From September 2024 and to date January 2025, the vehicle has been in the dealership since December, multiple attempts has been made to fix the heating system including replacing parts one of them being a valve. Vehicle is still not working after replacement of parts, the engineering company called -??Star Engineering-?? are involved at this point and they are still continuing to fix the car. The electrical component of this car is not working properly. This car is only 1 year old and it is a hybrid 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee purchased brand new. In 2023 after 2 weeks of leading this vehicle, the cars steering wheel froze and I was unable to drive it, I had to get the vehicle towed to the dealership. This is a major safety issue especially if you have children in the car, at the time I had my [XXX] in the vehicle, unable to drive it. Recently, temperatures have dropped significantly in November here in Massachusetts, and I had to drive with my toddler with no heat, in freezing temperatures and cover my child with a blanket. I was told by the dealership service staff that I needed to clean my car so the heat can work, after vacuuming my car I dropped it off again December and showed them for the 5th time that the car is blowing cold air, while the heating temperature is max and -??hot-??. In November, on a random day I arrived home and the car engine did not want to turn off after pressing the -??off-?? button, we had to park the car far away from our home in fear that it will catch fire or start -??having a mind of its own-??, the vehicle decided to shut off on its own after an hour, I also shared this with the dealership. This car is not safe to have at all! Not safe to drive out in the cold or in the highway and NOT safe if you have children! Please do not buy any hybrid models from Jeep. while driving this 4xe (hybrid) the vehicle thinks that it has been plugged in to charge and will momentarily shut down, no brake lights, no warning. ours has been in the shop for almost three months waiting for a fix. On three occasions we were told it was working as designed and sent down the road. Thankfully we were in no accidents but had seven close calls. it happens every time you drive it. The incident date is just a date, it happens every time you drive it.

On 1/31/24, while merging onto a highway(approx 45 mph), I accelerated into the lane in front of a truck. As I pressed the gas pedal nothing happened. The engine did not rev and I did not accelerate. I swerved on to the shoulder and coasted for several hundred feet and came to a stop. I put the car in park, turned off the vehicle and restarted it. Operated normally after that. The second instance of loss of motive power was on 3/11/24. Turning right on a residential street (approx 15 mph), the car demonstrated the exact same issue. In both cases no warning lights or messages came up, and the 'fix' was the same. Starting approximately 6/15/24 the vehicle began displaying the message "Electric Mode Temporarily Unavailable" while driving. I would experience a loss of motive power temporarily, coast for 5-10 seconds, the vehicle would switch to 'gas mode' and the combustion engine would take over.This happened between 15-20 times over the following 2 months. I was told by the dealership they couldn't do anything about it unless I had video or picture proof of the issue. I obtained both and was told the dealership would no longer take my vehicle in for repairs, only scheduled maintenance. On 7/9/24 I was driving on the highway and jeep began to lose power and speed. I was unable to accelerate to maintain speed or safely pull to the shoulder. Jeep completely lost power and stopped in the middle of the highway and I had to wait with hazards until I could successfully turn on the car and drive again. This exact thing happened again today on 7/16/24 it was very dangerous and scary especially since I was almost rear ended.

I received a safety recall letter in the mail. I made an appointment at the South Shore Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Service center in Inwood, NY for the repair of the recall and to change the oil. I specifically made the appointment for the recall (I keep getting notifications to repair) I went to the service center (1 hour drive from my home) on May 18,2024 (when I called to check in for the appointment -??Shanty-?? told me that there-??s no appointment scheduled for me, even though I got a text message confirming the appointment) Nevertheless, I went anyways. When I provided the recall letter to the representative, he told me that the service team can only do an oil change and can-??t repair the defrost that day. So, after waiting for the oil change, I asked when I can come back for the recall repair, the representative told me that they need to get the parts first. I also notified the rep. that my parking rear view camera doesn-??t turn on sometimes when in R and sometimes the screen goes black while I-??m in the middle of parking. They ended up letting me go and drive with the recall STILL active. On June 19, 2024, I read on Fox Business that Stellantis is recalling Jeeps due to rear view camera defects. I called the dealer who sold me the car (apparently he no longer works at Jeep) I spoke to a different representative, she gave me the phone number to MOPAR and STELLANTIS - nothing else. Throughout the entire time of driving this car, I-??ve been experiencing total discomfort. The car constantly jerks, seems like it doesn-??t have enough power or traction (even though the gas tank is full and charged too), and the windshield defrost takes a long time to work, even just the other day on June 29,2024 I started to drive and the windshield got so foggy that I had to stop. This car is dangerous and I do not feel safe driving it.

on/about 3/20 while driving on the freeway changing lanes, the transmission went from 8th gear to 3rd and did so with such violently it felt as though i was struck by another car. The transmission did this multiple times with multiple drivers. This has been a systemic problem since i bought the car with 11 miles on the odometer from a Jeep dealer. last, the transmission stuck in 8th gear and barley rolled into a driveway where it had to be towed to the dealer for not being able to select a gear and with a check engine lite on. This jeep has been at the dealers service shop for over 45 days with issues related to the transmission and only had 3000 miles on the odometer currently. This has been a problem since being purchased. multiple forms talk about transmission issues on their like model 2020-2023 jeep grand cherokees.

Message stated service airbag system. Airbag system unavailable, safety hazard. Pending diagnosis of why airbag system has failed.

The contact stated that while attempting to park the vehicle, upon shifting the vehicle into park, the vehicle failed to engage the parking brake and continued to roll forward. After 15 minutes, the vehicle returned to normal functionality, but the failure became a regular occurrence. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. Later, the contact stated that upon shifting the vehicle into park, the parking brake engaged; however, the vehicle failed to recognize that the shifter was in park, and a message "Please shift to Park, " was displayed. The contact then became aware that the vehicle was unable to be turned off. On another occasion, the contact stated that upon shifting the vehicle into drive, the vehicle failed to respond properly, with the instrument panel indicating that the vehicle was in neutral. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was 8,200.

The Stalantis manufacturer of 2023 JEEP vehicles has modified its steering/transmission controls to cause a safety concern. On the steering wheel are two -??Auto Stick-?? (aka -??paddles-??) which when touched switch the transmission from automatic to manual. The -??auto stick-?? controls are marked (-) minus on the left side of the steering wheel and (+) on the right side. Beneath them are the controls for the radio (or other media). These are -??buttons-?? on the left that control the channels (up & down) for the radio. On the right side they control the volume. The safety concern is that the -??auto stick-?? can be easily hit at the same time when attempting to use the radio controls and it will immediately shift the transmission from automatic to manual. The auto-stick control can also be inadvertently hit when using the steering wheel in a normal manner. This is dangerous. The vehicle can go into a lower gear and the engine can hit the -??red-?? line as it becomes stuck in only one gear. The vehicle becomes difficult to control unless the driver can immediately sense the manual transmission and then hit the proper paddle a number of times to gain control. I have had to pull over to the side of the road a number of times and turn off the vehicle and wait 60 seconds for it to reset to the automatic transmission upon restart. Prior to the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland design, the -??auto stick-?? controls could be disabled by the driver using the electronic screen and setting it to -??disable-?? the paddles so they did not work (or conversely made to use at the drivers discretion). Now there is NO WAY to disable the auto stick controls and even a slight swipe at them changes the transmission from automatic to manual. I consider this a dangerous safety concern which can easily allow a driver to lose control without realizing it. Please contact the manufacturer Stanlantis to immediately make a modification to the transmission controls.

Hybrid System, Air Suspension System, Engine, Power Train Car acceleration power cut out while driving 50 mph suddenly while driving down the road. Held up traffic when came to complete stop, vehicle would not restart immediately. Needed to restart vehicle multiple times before it started moving again. Problem has not been able to be reproduced by the dealer. They reset codes and took on a test drive and was not able to reproduce the issue. Vehicle has not been inspected by anyone other than the dealer. Currently Check Engine Light is on with Air Suspension Fault Light on as well. There was no warning to the vehicle losing power.

When the transmission warms up to operating temp, the first gear shift is extremely rough from a stop. It is most noticeable when accelerating on a highway. It is even worse when utilizing Sport mode. The best way to describe it, is a jerking motion or the transmission failing to shift in time. This is an everyday occurrence and not a random one. My concern is the transmission will fail in the middle of driving on a busy highway. The car has been to the dealer and according to them, this is -??normal operation-??. It has not been inspected by anyone other than a dealer and no warning lamps are on. This has been an ongoing issue since the date of purchase.

Dashboard showed Transmission Error Message: Service Transmission Continue in D, Do Not Shift or Turn off Engine Until you Reach a Desired Location, You may not be able to shift again until serviced. Vehicle was stuck in 1st gear and would not shift out for 5 minutes. Taken to dealer with engine light on and shown pictures of error messages and dealer found nothing wrong with vehicle. This all happened on a highway and I had to navigate from high speeds to slow and stop in the exit lane.

On 10/07/2023, about 7:30 pm, I was driving down 6th Street in Beaumont California at about 30 mph speed when all of a sudden the engine made a horrible loud noise and it looked like the accelerator pedal was suddenly hit. It seemed that the vehicle speed did not increase accordingly, but my foot had released the gas pedal already. Once I confirmed that the noise was indeed coming from my car, I pulled over and turned off the engine while the loud noise was continuing. Then I restarted the car and the problem didn't reoccur this time. Then, the car has performed normally.

The car was functioning normally, with no anomalies or error messages, including through phone notifications. The battery charge was nearly complete. I engaged Electric-Drive mode and used regenerative braking to recharge the battery on my way to town. Approximately 30 minutes into the drive, and with the battery at 99% charge, I heard a loud pop. It sounded like it was coming from the right-side passenger control arm. Shortly after, my dashboard was illuminated with warning lights, including a check engine light and notifications about air suspension and sway bar disconnection, airbags, tpms sensors, and more. The car decelerated dramatically; The dashboard screen flickered on and off as if rebooting. I got the vehicle safely, but during that time, the car seemed to be in limp mode, unresponsive to acceleration, and stiffer than normal breaking. The steering was also affected. I realized that if I had been on the highway, this could have caused a severe accident. Screen, Powertrain, and drivetrain fail while traveling 45+ miles an hour. It is a small 2-way road in turn with mild car and foot traffic around. The dealer has confirmed the issue as an issue that has been present in past vehicles in this model category. The car had been in my possession for less than 24 hours/40 driven miles.
