Pitched a fix to Jeep Customer Service. Stated the back windows are never used. I have no kids, no one sits in the back, how does a window fail when it's never in use. Chrysler agreed to fix the window for free even though the car was a year beyond it's warranty. On further note 4 years later the same part failed!

I bought my Jeep in 2006, in 2008 the rear passenger window motor broke and was replaced under warranty. In 2011 the rear driver's side window motor broke and I had to replace it with Chrysler chipping in. Today, 2014, the rear passenger window motor broke again. When I called Chrysler the lady there told me that after 50,000 miles everything starts to break on cars and there is nothing they can do. She said it happens to her all the time. I just traded in a Ford F-150 that was 11 years old and had 220,000 miles on it and that truck never had a problem. She just kept telling me that everything always starts breaking on cars. I said when the same part keeps breaking 3 times then there is a continuous issue that needs to be taken care of. That I expect more out of an American made company and that they stand behind their work. She said there is nothing they will do and cars just break!

This is a HUGE PIECE OF CRAP VEHICLE!! But everyone needs to make sure Chrysler pays for new window regulators! They did mine after I wouldn't shut up. I hate this vehicle. I had three replaced before I finally looked into it and I got a clue to there was an issue. After months, they reimbursed me and put new regs in for all 4 windows. Good luck.

The ONLY good thing about this Jeep is in the snow!

I purchased my 2006 Jeep Liberty in January 2011. 2 months later, the passenger side Rear Window fell all the way down. Checked online only to see all the rants from everyone else, but no help from Chrysler. Spent close to $400.00 to get the window fixed.

Now - Jan 2014 and the Driver side rear window fell down. I live in Michigan, so needless to say, it's to frickin cold here right now to stick plastic on it and wait till you can possibly afford to fix the problem. It will cost me close to $500.00 to get this window fixed at this time! I know this is NOT A LIFE THREATENING PROBLEM, but come on Chrysler! Really?

I have always driven Fords, thought I would switch it up and try the Jeep because I have always liked them. Guess who will go back to Ford or GM? This Girl!

Very disappointed in the lack of Chrysler taking the responsibility for what is clearly a glitch in the parts they chose to put on these vehicles! Blame it on the supplier if it makes you feel better, but you should take responsibility and correct the situation NOW on all 4 windows before this possibly becomes a Class Action Suit against you! Government may not be able to bail you out this time.....Just sayin.

The first window regulator went out on the front drivers side, purchased the part and fixed it himself, saving us over $300.00 in labor. Part cost $250.00. Jeep wanted over $500.00 to do this repair. The second time the window when I was driving kept falling down in the middle of Illinois worst winter. This window rarely gets used. Again, the same part and the part cost $250.00 and they wanted over $300.00 in labor. Luck again my husband watched how to replace it on U-Tube and fixed it himself.

This is all due to a defective plastic piece that should be recalled by Jeep. There are over 1,200 complaints on this one part on line. I want Jeep to reimburse me for something that should not be happening.

This was the third time the driver side rear window actuator was changed. Just a month prior, the passenger side front window broke while I was trying to get my step son home from the hospital after he had been in radiation treatment for Thyroid cancer. He had to sit 3' away from me in the rear passenger seat due to radiation exposure for me... and we could only be together for 1 hour... it was a half hour drive home. It was sleeting, raining and windy all the way home, miserable.

The driver side rear window was changed, according to dealer records, just before I bought it in 2010, then in 2011 the same window had to be fixed again. Both of these were covered under warranty. Chrysler gave an extended warranty on these windows and my warranty expired in July of 2013. I was refused coverage for the window repairs that happened after that. The dealership quoted me $492 to repair them ! I was "disappointed" that my dealership made no effort to contact Chrysler for additional help.. they lost my business because of that.

I made the repairs after that by myself thanks to a You Tube video and on-line parts which cost $75 ! These parts were free shipping and they had a lifetime warranty ! It took an hour each time. In a way, I am glad that the dealership did not fix these last two windows using the same defective parts that were installed when it was new !!

This is definitely not a "wearing-out" problem and I even cautioned passengers to not roll the windows down. The cause is definitely a design issue which Chrysler never fixed. Although not really a safety issue, imagine having your window fall down as you are traveling down the highway with 20 below zero temps and blizzard conditions !! A suitable "punishment" for such a blatant lack of customer care would be to stick a couple of the designers and Chrysler Execs into one of these Jeep roll two windows down and drive them for a couple of hundred miles in bad weather !

I am sick and tired of Chrysler issuing recalls, but nothing getting taken care of. They'll fix one item, but we have to do something else and that is going to cost you another five or six hundred dollars. If I wasn't 77 years old, I would get rid of it, but do not want to get back into car payments.

Update from Nov 4, 2014: I have had both back windows fixed and they are both not working now.

I had to replace regulators for the power windows in all 4, but only did 3 for now!! The dealer had to know of this and they made me replace whole window and new regulator for 500 dollars!! When the others quit working went to a body glass shop and had 2 more done and they didn't have to replace window!! One I haven't fixed yet and they say that someone already knew of this because it wasn't replaced right!

Now I get notice of a recall for fuel tanks, needing a hitch, and still waiting. Feel like they just threw the vehicles together without checking for safety or making sure windows last too!! Frustrated as hell!!! Don't know if I will ever buy from GMC ever again. Feel they have no concerns over safety of people or care for quality merchandise to sell to public. If they want a good name, then they should make sure everything works well and solid and safety first!!

Complained for years regarding ALL window regulators. Plastic piece runs on a metal track, which chews

it away. Dealer replaced both window and regulator. It happened again with passenger front window. Regulator was replaced and Not the window. Problems with driver door window! Dealer doesn't want to replace until it is broke. I said, "In the middle of the freezing winter" is when you'll want to replace.
