5 visits for water in interior lights leaking, caused stains on headliner when dried, possible sunroof problem: cleaned out drains, unclogged hose, dried carpets, dried headliner, sealed sunroof rails. Every time it rains, same problem!

Want a vehicle replacement under lemon law. Chrysler keeps giving me the run around. They want me to bring it in for the 9th time. I don,t want to deal with it anymore and shouldn't have to. What happens when the warranty is up?

Right rear foot well filled with rainwater and has remained wet in spite of multiple drying.
Update from Feb 2, 2012: Chrysler assigned me a case# (21705532) only to inform me that their original diagnoses was the same. I was at fault for daring to park a 4x4 jeep under trees! Not wanting to spend a year fighting with them while having to drive a wet stinking car,I traded it for a real car, a subaru legacy. What really ticks me off is this co. was bailed out by the U.S. tax payers and their thank you is to not honor their warranty.DO NOT BUY CHRYSLER!!!!!

Bought the vehicle knowing it was a Jeep manufacturer buy back was promised there was no issue, well they lied

The problem starts as a swishing sound in the dashboard and then the water heats up and then hot water falls onto the driver and passengers feet. I feel it is a dangerous situation because the pain of the hot water hitting my feet is distracting while driving. Chrysler's answer is to change the drainage hose (every year?) it has happened 3X in 2 Years!

Was not sure where water was coming from that was streaming down from under the dashboard.

It is dangerous to have hot water from under the dashboard dripping on the drivers foot!

Water is leaking into the vehicle and entering the cabin through the forward and aft dome light assemblies. Leaks happen after rain events and four trips to the dealer has failed to resolve the issue. The jeep is going back for a fifth visit shortly. I suspect the sunroof is defective out of alignment but the dealer's corrective actions have focused on clogged drain lines.

Water leaking from dome light. Drips directly onto Satelite radio and all electronics. Radio not operating the same as before. Over 36k miles, unsure if still covered by warrenty (prob not) Will be taking in once I can find the time.

Immediately after purchasing the 2009 Jeep Patriot an interior water leak was discovered. The first visit to dealer was 11/3/09 with 2282 miles on it. Next visit was 11/17/2009. Another visit on 1/6/10 with 5790 miles on it. Another visit on 9/14/10 at 12170 miles. Yet another visit on 9/24/10 at 12435 miles. Again on 12/7/10 at 14897 miles. It has been to the dealer over 7 times for this problem. Everytime they say it is fixed only to discover it is still leaking.
Water comes into the overhead electrical system and runs out of the overhead lights like a faucet or waterfall. Water ponds on the rear cargo area and this area is completely soaked. Water is even done in spare wheel storage. Water comes from all overhead lights depending on pitch of vehicle. Unknown if water is running down interior sides of vehicle or where else water is pooling. Concerned about mold, rust, water damage, electrical problems, etc., that are being caused by water entering vehicle.
Dealership has "fixed" it numerous times only to not have it fixed. Vehicle is scheduled for return visit to dealer for another attempt at fixing this problem.

Jeep has water shooting out of the front of the car, on the inside, under the engine, near where the wheels are. What starts off as a fountain sound graduated into a full blown flood inside the drivers side and passengers side floor boards.
Make it worse, the car does not always accelerate property. I am waiting for jeep to get off their butt.....hopefully they take it back...beware..something is very not right about these jeeps.

In July of 2009 we purchased a 2009 Jeep Patriot. In August 2009 we started having problems with the reat dome light, getting hot and not working. Shortly after the leaks started in the front and rear dome lights and the sun roof. We have had it to the dealership 5 times and it still leaks. In Dec. of 2009 when we picked it up the handicap hanger had disappeared. We have filed under the Lemon Law which is in progress at this point. We are very disgusted.
