I bought it new. I park in the garage. My car is in never in bad weather. I experience the water coming in through the light in the car. I was just told it was the sunroof that was not all the way closed. I never drive in the rain or snow. I was caught recently in a rain storm. Water was pouring through my light. My dashboard lights and radio went out. I knew that this was a problem. I took it to the dealership and they said it was a manufacturer problem. They said the seal around the sunroof was defective. They told me to call Chrysler and put in a claim. Chrysler gave me the run around for a week. In the end they said they can't help because of my mileage. I drive a long way to work back and forth. That had nothing to do with the fact they made errors when building the car. I was told they would do nothing . Jeff Wyler Jeep said they should be responsible because it was a manufacture defect. Every significant wet weather causes the sun roof to leak and fill up the map lights in the front of the vehicle. This water then proceeds to pour out of the lights as the car accelerates/decelerates or turns corners. This water happens to be pouring out directly onto the electrical components of the vehicle right where the CD player slot is. A quick Google search for leaky sun roof and you will find that this problem has been plaguing the Jeep Patriot line for years. Shame on you Jeep for not addressing this issue which has been on going for years!
