I'm having acceleration issues and the roms are going too high before shifting. And the steering column starts shaking on the highway after o get going fast like 45 or so. There's one light on and it's my low tire pressure light, but the tires aren't really low. And the issue has been occuring on and off periodically since after I had my brake job in November. It might be an issue with the brake job because I can hear the brakes rubbing. But I sought advice from a mechanic and he thinks its the TCM that needs to be serviced. The issue hasn't occured for a couple weeks and then it occured again today.

My truck goes into a code where the electric throttle control light, the engine light, and the tire traction light comes on. When the vehicle does this it reduces the speed to 35 no matter what or where you are. When you ho get the engine light checked, the code says it's a suction problem ðŸ™". Jeep started doing this in the colder weather than progressed to every other week

Had to drive home with virtually no exceleration with hazzards on due to unusual dangerous circumstances. Jeep problem not confirmed by dealer. Needs to be towed, for fear of safety. Disheartened, and without a vehicle hoping this can be affordable to fix or fixable at all.

I am having the same issue as just about everyone here with this make and model vehicle. I have stalled twice and one of those times almost caused an accident because I was exiting the highway when it stalled. Many times now for the past several months it has been slowing down to a crawl and repeatedly hesitating like it's choking. This happens presently, at almost every turn I make and sometimes I have to pull over and restart the vehicle. Definitely should be looked into as it most certainly is a road safety concern/issue.

Purchased my 2015 Jeep Patriot on 10/16/2020. Three hours later, as I was driving home, I had a major loss of power (went from highway speeds to 10mph) and the dash lit up with the check engine light, traction control and "lightning bolt" all flashing or lit. I also lost the ability to accelerate and the Jeep would only coast at 10mph and would shake/shudder if stopped.

The throttle body assembly was repaired in November of 2019. It is July of 2020, I have driven the vehicle less than 2500 miles since the initial repair and the vehicle is producing the exact same symptoms as it was before the repair. It hesitates, almost stalls, and lunges while driving. Traction control light, check engine light and the drive by wire warning light all flash when the vehicle is started and running.

I was driving when all of sudden my Jeep Patriot started slowing down, limp and a bit out of my control. 3 lights turned on simultaneously. I pulled over to the side of the road. My engine started shaking and my Jeep sounded odd so I turned it off. I waited a bit and turned it back on. I was able to drive it back home safely as I was less than a mile away. I started doing research and found that many Jeep Patriot owners have gone through the same thing. Apparently it's a throttle body issue that Jeep has failed to recall or take acrion on. I had to pick up my son from school and this time the Jeep went limp after less than half of a mile of driving. I struggled to take my car back home and had to keep turning on and off my car. This is very dangerous I was very lucky to just be in my neighborhood. I bought this car in July. These sort of issues shouldn't already be happening. I now will have to take it to a mechanic and spend hundreds of dollars for something I am not responsible for.

Catastrophic failure of throttle control while driving down the highway. Vechile began to sputter and immediately flashed the lightning bolt warning light dropping from 80mph to 10 mph. This was associated with the vechile violently sputtering. Vechile will start but when drive is engaged at low RPM nothing happens. With acceleration the car will sputter and not get past 15 miles per hour. During sputtering no power steering is avalible and braking is made difficult with sputtering.

I've done a lot of research and many other Jeep Patriot owners are having the same problem with the throttle body. I was attempting to accelerate on a 40 mph road that people are known to fly down and when I stepped on the gas pedal my car did not accelerate but completely lose the ability to accelerate. My car stopped in the middle of the dangerous road as 3 lights simultaneously appeared on my dashboard; the lights were the throttle control warning light, traction control light, and transmission warning light. I was scared to death and acted quickly but this is simply unacceptable and unsafe. Will Jeep simply wait until this causes the death or serious accident of motorists? I believed the throttle body was dirty so I cleaned it out following standard procedure, however the throttle warning light still appears and my vehicle struggles to accelerate. I will be taking it into the shop very soon but this should not be the responsibility of the vehicle owner, this is extremely unsafe and uncalled for when the vehicles suffering have less than 50,000 miles.

The contact owns a 2015 Jeep Patriot. While operating the vehicle, all the instrument panel warning indicators illuminated and the vehicle would not immediately start. On several occasions, while driving, the vehicle would suddenly fail to accelerate properly and shut off. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the throttle converter was faulty. The throttle converter was replaced, but the failures continued. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The dealer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 65,000. Consumer stated the first major issue occurred in March where I attempted to start my vehicle, it wouldn't start, and all lights on the dashboard were lit up... including a red lightning bolt in which I never have seen before! the vehicle did start for a moment, then locked up and coasted forward where I put on the brakes to stop vehicle due to obvious/ problem. Problem occured more than consumer could count. Radio wouldn't work properly. My Jeep has 44000 miles on it, while out of town camping my Jeep just started shutting off, at all speeds with no warning. This is very scary with small children in the car. I managed to get my Jeep to a Jeep dealership, who told me my throttle control box failed !!!!! at 44000 thousand miles!! $$$$1200 later and 8 hours I was on my way again, but the very next day I started having the same issue so far its happen twice again. The part I find strange is that this same thing happen to the lady sitting next to me at the dealership, so someone please tell me why this would happen to a newer Jeep with low millage, both myself and the other lady are grandmas and not out 4 wheeling or being ruff on our Jeep. I need some answers and want Jeep to pay for the repair!

Etc light was coming on, car would not accelerate as should when gas pedal was pressed. Car would jerk forward as if was about to die. Trying to get onto highway is always sketchy. Finally went completely out and leaving me broke down in middle of 5 O'clock traffic after taking to dealership and being told nothing was wrong but needed a new battery went ahead and paid for just for it to all continue. Finally told throttle body was an issue. Got the entire unit replaced by dealership not just the sensor and not even a year later same thing is happening again. Hundreds of others on forums for the Jeep Patriot no matter the year are having the same issues over and over! it's not safe! someone needs to take this seriously. Not to mention it should never had happened to a 2 year old vehicle! if we want these problems we would purchase used cars. Now I am in fear of it doing it again because it's driving the same not going when gassed jerking forward, even in idle, not just for safety reasons for financial reasons as well. How can do many different year models have the same issues and this not be a mopar recall
