The ABS system failed at about 50,000 miles while the vehicle was still under extended warranty. The system needs a new ABS module which Jeep says is under engineering review. I have been trying to get the part for almost 2 years with no success. I am left with an unsafe vehicle that I am unable to sell.

I took my Jeep in to be serviced by my mechanic due to the ABS, brake and traction control lights being on. The issue is the ABS module is faulty. I was told I could drive it but use caution in rain and ice. I was also told by my mechanic he had another customer with the same issue and it took the customer several months to find the part. Now, I need to begin the hunt for a dealership that has an ABS module and be charged about $2000 including labor costs. Why is this happening to the ABS modules" Is the ABS module faulty to begin with? My Jeep has about 62,300 miles on it. Why am I having to replace a part that should last the life of the vehicle? Yes, many years ago vehicles did not have ABS. Now, modern vehicles do. When the ABS module fails it can cause too many issues for the vehicle plus it-??s not only putting the occupants of the vehicle in danger but also others on the road. So then why are so many Jeep owners having to replace the ABS module when it should be a long-lasting component"

ABS Module failure resulting in abs and traction control systems not functioning properly putting myself and others at risk for injury. There is no replacement part available and Mopar indicates there is no current production for a replacement part. This is a well known problem that the manufacturer has failed to provide a safe solution for.

Abs, traction control, and brake lights stay on I took it to the dealer they told me it was internal failure on the abs module I can't afford 1200$ to fix it I'm in a jeep club this is a common problem it should be recalled and fixed for free it's a safety hazard. And you lose power you can't even pass another car when all the lights are illuminated.

I have been unable to get an ABS Control Module for my jeep for over a year. This is affecting my vehicle breaking system putting my life in danger as well as others on the road. I have contacted Jeep directly and have only been told it is under review. I have taken it to the dealer and 2 different mechanics only to be told they cannot get that part. I have been told driving is relatively safe, I just won't be able to control a sudden breaking stop! I cannot belive this being allowed to happen. I am not only concerned for my own vehicle but how many others are on the road with the same issue. I am hoping to file a complaint with NTSA to force jeep to resolve this issue.

ABS anti lock break system, intermittent warning on the dashboard, brake and traction lights. Pep boys and auto zone both describe there is an internal malfunction with no specific codes, they can not prescribe a fix as the speed wheel sensors are working ok. Jeep forums say it may not be safe to drive as wheels may lock under hazardous driving conditions.

I have numerous warning lights all on at the same time and constantly chiming as I drive. These are the following lights that are all on: check engine, air bag, ABS, brake, and traction control. I have read past communication which addresses problems. I truly believe none of these issues were addressed prior to my purchase in 2020.

The contact owns a 2014 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving approximately 35 mph, the braking system erroneously activated causing the vehicle to abruptly stop. During the failure traction control and ABS sensor warning lights illuminated and remained illuminated. Several minutes later the sensor light disappeared and the vehicle operated as designed. The cause of the failure was not determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 27,000.

Parked vehicle on a slope in the mountains with the parking brake engaged. The vehicle is an automatic transmission and was in park. Immediately following all passengers exiting the vehicle, it slowly started rolling away, backwards. It traveled down a 4WD road a small distance before turning off and tumbling down the mountain. Luckily everyone had exited the vehicle and there were no injuries. Though we were parked on a slope, probably around 15 degrees, there was complete failure of both the park gear and the parking brake allowing a rollaway. The parking surfaces was a combination solid rock and dirt.
