My 2018 wrangler accelerates when not on the gas pedal, and both the engine light and electronic throttle light comes on. My Jeep has been to the dealer 4 times for this issue and it still goes unfixed. It has been to an independent service center once, and they diagnosed the PCM (powertrain control module) as failing. This issue is very dangerous for myself and anyone else on the road as my jeep will accelerate at random.

Coming back from a mini vacation we stopped at a gas station to refuel. Could smell something burning but was not sure from where it was coming from. 45 minutes later we hard a loud pop and rpm-??s went up. Clutch went completely out. Was barely able to pull it off the highway and into a gas station. Had to cut cars off due to not being able to put the jeep in gear to get rolling again. I-??m three hours away from my home. Had just took the jeep to the dealer for service and was told EVERYTHING LOOKED GOOD. No issues with the clutch or anything along the lines of that. EXTREMELY upset. This need to be resolved ASAP. Broke down at 7:10pm wasn-??t able to get a tow truck to me until 10:30pm

While driving the locker system light will ding and light will illuminate. Have had it at a dealership 5 times approximately for this issue. Locker system will not work but I fear it will engage while driving since they cannot figure out how to fix it. I have had the entire axle replaced as well as the drive train control module. I have no idea what needs to be done to fix it at this point but when the engineer says it needs to be adjusted and the dealership has no idea what they mean by that since it is not a serviceable part of the axle. It is built into the axle itself hence the axle replacement. The forum for the jl Wrangler there are a multitude of problems with the axle/locker system that Jeep cannot figure out and it's been over 2 years.

Y07/NHTSA 21V-028 the repair Jeep has proposed is a software update which will reduce available power. This is unacceptable. Jeep needs to upgrade the clutch/pressure plate to handle the loads that the engine imposes on it. A software change is nonsense. Thank you

Was driving on the freeway with my wife and five yr old son when we heard a loud pop underneath our 2018 Jeep Wrangler and instantly saw a trail of smoke behind us. We immediately pulled over to find transmission guild gushing from underneath with tons of smoke as well. We were hoping the smoke was probably just from fluid on the manifold but we small flashes of fire starting at the transmission and clutch area. I quickly grabbed my son sitting in back and we jumped over the concrete barrier on the side and ran away from the Jeep as it quickly became engulfed. It still had the temp tags having only had it three weeks. It was a 2018 with 15K miles.

While driving on the interstate at approximately 71mph, hit a bump vehicle started to violently shake. Slowing down did not fix the issue. I had to pull over and stop. Very scary feeling. Both batteries died out at approximately 39,000, first the main battery, then the auxiliary battery. Noise coming from behind the glove box when the vehicle is powered on or not. Clunking noise when taking off from a stop, or first take off. (dealer stated it was normal (yeah right)) passenger visor broken. Hardtop leaking in center front, causing the rearview mirror to ruin. (has been looked at by the dealership numerous times. Air conditioning when driving a long distance will sometimes blow out hot air on the passenger side. Coolant drained dye put in to detect leaks, no leaks. Still happening floorboards get extremely hot at times it feels like the heater is on.

I have been complaining to the dealer about inconsistent clutch pressure for 2+ years. I have provided the dealer different data about when driving at constant speed for 20 miles, then pressing in the clutch the first time it is "hard". fca has had the data and information about these clutched getting to hot and exploding. They are not offering the correct solutions (1st sleeve on a hose, not reduce torque if high temp is detected -- there is no temp sensor in this area.) fca need to tak responsibility and fix the vehicles correctly ! I can provide my logs from the dealer along with all of my information that I provided them.

My Jeep Wrangler has had a sticky transmission since I initially purchased it and the dealership has been giving me the run around since. The transmission hesitates to transition between gears while accelerating and even makes a loud high idling noise while accelerating as if it doesn't want to accelerate. I've been to the dealership 4 times to be serviced for the same issue and they havent fixed it and now keeps saying there's nothing wrong. I rented the same model Jeep for two weeks before buying this one so I know exactly how it should drive. Please help me and investigate. I paid too much for my Jeep to have my experience ruined by a bad transmission.

We tried to start the Jeep at our home (street) and it would not start. But the electrical system started flickering. After some research, we decided to have the battery checked. The battery was used for 34 months of driving. Interstate battery tested it and it was low. We decided to buy a new one and installed it. Now the Jeep starts but there is a service shifter warning light and the gear shifter does not light up. We cannot put it into gear. There are numerous complaints on different Jeep forums. Some dealers cannot solve the issue, while other find that different harnesses are the problem. Our vehicle is out of warranty, and believe Jeep should initiate a recall to correct this problem for its customers.

While driving on highway the steering wheel became stiff for about a couple of seconds, when it got back to normal it corrected into incoming traffic, I nearly hit incoming traffic, it was pretty scary cause the steering was very hard and stiff, I was trying to correct the vehicle cause it was moving towards the left even though I was trying to correct it to the right, when it loosened up it jerked hard to the left to incoming traffic, thankfully there was no incoming traffic at the time, also I noticed that when I put the transmission in gear there's no movement, it acts like it's in neutral, I have to put it back in park and reshift
