Loose steering, massive amount of play in the wheel. Difficult to control vehicle and keep lane position. Excessive driver input required just to go straight. Unsafe driving conditions. The faster you go, the faster it can change lanes on you. At 60+ mph -if you look away from the road for 2 seconds (checking a side mirror, rear view mirror or intersection) you could easily be 4-6ft over to the left or right even while holding the wheel straight. Consumer stated steering issues have been recurring since the time of purchase.

I have been to Dodge several times for these issues they always tell me nothing wrong with vehicle. The car pulls to one side when driving its very wobbly. Also I have taken it in because the Jeep is using up coolant too fast. They topped off coolant for me less than a week later coolant reservoir is empty. While drive for 30 minutes the Jeep has a complete malfunction with all electrical components and was unable to shut off engine, and ABS, power steering, gear shifter, electrical gauges, auto start stop engine shut off and navigation system. After receiving the recall for steering damper to fix the steering wheel wobble when driving over a bump at highway speeds, I have gotten the wobble twice now. Recall was approx 5,131 miles. Wobble incident occurred once before recall at 3,000 miles. Wobble has also occurred at approx 5,500 miles and approx 5,800. It is a violent wobble that makes me uncomfortable and susceptible to an accident especially at highway speeds while driving to and from work.

The vehicle has had a slight pull since driving off the lot, brand new 37 miles. It wanders to the right side of the road. If you have to do a panic steer it is almost impossible not to loose control at freeway speeds. I have requested an alignment and balance check from the dealership. The dealership has told me this is the new 'normal' for the Wrangler. I do not think it is too much to ask for a brand new, $53,000 vehicle to drive in a straight line without constant steering input or be able to pass without fear of loosing control. Especially new with now 1,500 miles on it.

The vehicle has had a slight pull to the right since driving off the lot brand new. I was told to let the suspension settle before bringing it for an alignment. I've taken it to the dealer 3 times now an have less then 5000 miles on it. I've been told that the alignment is within specifications and that all Jeep Wrangler have a pull to one side or the other. The dealership as told med that it's normal for a Wrangler not to go in a straight line and in their experience, this is as good as it gets. I don't think it's too much to ask that a brand new vehicle drive in a straight line.

Day 1 after purchase the steering was so loose you had to constantly make adjustment to stay in your lane. I called the dealership and took it back they check it and said everything was fine it typical of a Jeep. Said to drive it and I would get used to it. I put several miles on it and was not comfortable driving. I purchased a teraflex 2.2 adjustable steering stabilizer hoping that would help and continued to drive it. I took it back they flashed the computer because I asked them to after I researched the problem. It still wasn't fixed. They took it back and performed the recall by replacing the steering box and reinstalling the old stock stabilizer previously replace by aftermarket one. It seemed better at first. I continued to drive hoping it would work itself out, but it didn't. I took it to another dealership and they repaired a boot that was torn from the recall and said the computer still needed to be flashed to finish the recall which they did. The Jeep still pulls to the right and has loose /dead spot in the steering. It happens while in motion and on any street. I plan on giving this Jeep to my son when he turns 16 and buying a new one. However as of today I do not feel comfortable with the steering to let a new driver behind the wheel. Please help.
