Love my Kia Sorento. ...Doing 70 miles an hour on the freeway an stepped on the gas to get in front of another car and the gas pedal flat-lined... luckily pulled to the side but at night with traffic speeding by. Tried to restart and it sounded like it was going to turn over. Smelled burning electrical and prepared myself to get out of the car. Car is four years new, well maintained.

Very dangerous situation. Car would not restart and towed to our house. Swapped the battery. Car lights up, but will not start. Off to the dealership on Tuesday. Not happy KIA , not safe!

won't start - battery not holding a charge

Got this car on jan. 17 2014, about three weeks later went out to start car, it just a clicks. sound like battery was dead. called roadside assisitance jump started car. Took to dealer all they could say was you know this cold weather is hard on batteries, they checked battery said it had a bad cell, replaced battery. About one month later did the same thing, took back to dealer, said they could not find anything wrong. Car did this about once a month the whole year of 2014, they replaced battery and alternator, still did it. In Dec. did it twice, had it towed in, they jumped it and still say there is nothing they can find, asked me if I drive around with doors open. If it does it again I will tow it in and wont take it back. Just wondered if anyone has similar problems.
