Was driving to the store for groceries with my 2 young children, when my car just stopped accelerating and the engine seized up on a local road. Had noticed a ticking and knocking sound when accelerating a few prior and a weird sound coming from the suspension but it was dismissed by the dealer. Had the vehicle towed to my home and had to tow to dealership as it would no longer turn over at all. Received a recall notice but apparently it doesn't apply to my vehicle because I had oil, coolant and no leaks anywhere. Only had 127,000 mold and this is the 4th issue I've had with this vehicle. 1st was rats chewing all my wires, 2nd was the rear differential, 3rd fuel pump, and now this.

My Sorento has started burning oil. It makes a terrible noise when running. Sometimes the lights for my backup camera doesn't work nor my radio. Sometimes the radio if on, station can't be changed. It is like it is in a frozen mode.

My Kia Sorento was purchased from Kia in 2018 - 1st - I had to take the car back to check the rear breaks due to a shaking of the car that happens when going over 50mph. The driver side head light goes out every couple months. Recently the battery light came one, after the battery was swapped (the car still wouldn't power on)- they ran a few tests and discovered an electrical issue. I have tan my VIN for the recall but my car doesn't seem to be eligible for any recalls that mention an electrical issue with the Kia

I checked for low pressure in tires and it was not the problem vehicle seems to function fine no traction issues no ABS issues that I can see or feel in driving, saw the recall for the AWD but mine is fwd.

Vehicle is not being driven because the axle is busted. We are not sure why his happened. When I drive the Sorento, it pulls to the right very strong. I am not sure how long it takes fort that to happen, but it happens every time the car reaches a full stop. Also, when I maneuver and make. Turn to the left, it sounds like it pops. It's a scary feeling.

The suspension in the slightest bump that falls, it does not protect it hits dry it has no support, the steering wheel from zero miles is a rattle even though we take it to its guarantee they never fixed it, in the same way the brake discs to the emergency braking as they skid, sweep; you have to step on the pedal several times for it to respond...

My wife and I were on the 91 freeway in light traffic and came to the end of the freeway which becomes artesia blvd in gardena, ca. We were sitting at the light at the end of the freeway and we heard this really loud knocking noise so I shut the engine off. I restarted the engine and it was ok for several minutes then all of a sudden we heard this really loud noise like the engine was being opened with a can opener and this was while in motion on surface streets going about 45 miles an hour. (that's what we thought to best describe the noise). When you press the accelerator it becomes much worse and the car shakes so we parked it and towed home due to the time. I have yet to have it towed to the dealer due to it being late and the weekend. But a friend of mine who's a mechanic said it's definitely the engine and he's leaning towards the barrings and pistons somewhere along those lines. I have kept regular maintenance on it since we got it like changing of fluids, oil things like that since we purchased it on 04/17/2019. We have had other minor things like the locks on the driver side door you have to do manually and the rear hatch doesn't lock and you can open it even with the alarm on, suspension system is a little loose and probably has issues also. Transmission is slipping also. There's all of the same year same model same engine that are on the recall list but from what we're gathering ours isn't. I am not quite understanding this because we're positive this is the same issue as the other ones recalled.

The contact owns a 2014 Kia Sorento. While attempting to accelerate from a stop, the vehicle rolled back and raised up. The contact heard a loud noise and pulled the vehicle over to the side of the road. The contact checked the tires and found no failure. The vehicle was towed to the contact's home. The following day, the vehicle was towed to Kia of lansing (5737 S Pennsylvania ave, lansing, mi 48911, (517) 393-5700) where the contact stated that the staff was rude. The contact called the manufacturer and was referred back to the dealer. The vehicle was still under warranty and the dealer discovered that the rear differential had collapsed in the rear of the vehicle. The dealer informed the contact that the cost for the repairs would be approximately $3,000. The contact wanted to check for possible recalls. The dealer stated that the contact only had a five year warranty; however, the contact stated that the vehicle had a ten year or 100,000 mile warranty. The contact managed to get a loaner vehicle while the vehicle was being repaired. Afterwards, the contact felt that the steering was off and the manufacturer referred her to another dealer. The contact refused and did not feel safe driving the vehicle. The steering was not repaired again. The failure mileage was 34,685.

Brought my vehicle back to dealership for Kia recall SC148. Tech applied silicone, a 'suggestion' in recall. If problem persists, which it did in our case, rear wheel hubs need replacing. When brought in originally for recall, vehicle had 84,972 miles. Stability control warning lights on dash stay lit. Car is now over 100K miles and dealership says it is out of warranty. Repair will cost us $982 now. No one from Kia corporate ever returns my phone calls, numerous calls. My case #is 13183158 from Kia.

My 2014 Kia Sorento started having axil problems just recently. I am well aware that this was a problem with front wheel drive and their were recalls of that same year make and model. Mine is AWD and this should be included as this only started happening at 60K.

I have a 2014 Kia Sorento sxl 3.3 ltr V6 with 119, 952 miles on it. On 11/26/2018 after pulling in the drive way and existing the car I smelled what I believed to be an antifreeze smell.my car did not have any warning indicators on and my temperture gauge was normal. I took my car to dobbs on 11/27/2018, paid $30.95 and told it was leaking head gaskets which cost $4500-$5000 to repair. I decided to call Kia Consumer Affairs and had my car towed to a Kia dealership for diagnostics and they decided I needed a motor, the cost would be $7600. I then called Consumer Affairs back and was told by the agent she would submit a request for a goodwill repair. Kia agreed to replace my motor as the technician diagnosed, but I am responsible for labor at $140/hour for 21.4 hours. I really appreciate Kia replacing the motor, obviously due to some type of defect.wondering if there will soon be a recall on it. I've had 2 steering columns installed, alternator, lower oil pan and still a popping noise. I was told on the 4th time of complaining to dealer services, they tighten an axle nut. Well the nut must be loose again because the popping is back. Could this be a problem with the axle which has been recalled on other models"should my motor also have been a part of the motors most recently recalled. Could my strut have started leaking due to an adequate amount of corrosion substance not being applied " I replacind my struts, rotors, breaks and 4 new tires. I love my car, this is my second Kia.I am greatful, but a little disappointed about paying $3000. My 2 month old daughter passed away in her sleep on March 15. 2017 and left me with the stress of losing her, funeral cost and now this. I am a single mother; therefore money is tight. Cars similar to mine have caught on fire due to faulty motors and that is really a scary thought.

Everytime I put the car in drive it makes a harsh banging noise. It also decides to just shut off as soon as I press on the gas or slow down after I've already started going on city streets I can also hear and feel clicking under driver's side floor board as I'm turning into drive ways, parking spots etc. This is an everyday thing that started last year.
