The engine developed a rod knock.. napleton Kia in elgin, il has said there is no recall for this vehicle. The vehicle was cruising at medium speed when the engine knock developed. Very noticeable when revving the engine.

Service representative determined that there were multiple holes in the engine block and damage to the cylinder head. Service department requested and received authorization for short block and cylinder head replacement. The contact owns a 2015 Kia Soul. The contact stated that the vehicle was repaired in June of 2019 under NHTSA campaign number: 19V120000 (engine, engine and engine cooling). The contact stated while driving approximately 40 mph, an unknown warning light was illuminated. The contact pulled to the side of the roadway and called the local dealer prescott valley Kia (5600 market St, prescott valley, AZ 86314, (928) 759-5600) whom advised him to drive the vehicle to the dealer for a diagnostic test. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and was diagnosed as a failed catalytic converter. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The dealer opened and closed the case since the vehicle had already been serviced under the recall. The failure mileage was approximately 125,000.

My vehicle has been having issues with the engine for months now. I have had to have parts replaced that clearly are related to the engine, can not drive it after having it towed to the Kia dealership. They corrected two recalls, but did not check for problems with my engine. They did a dx test however did not drive it to clearly see it still has same issues as when I brought it in, but worse than before now. My vehicle is part of the campaign 20V750 with code SC200. My vehicle is also burning oil, two times I was told by a mechanic that they are sure it has to do with engine issues. I called them back and addressed my concerns after leaving with it the same problems as before and was treated as if I was making up the issues I am having with the vehicle. Due to I am the 2nd owner they did not want to use my warranty I have on the engine to repair or even check into the engine for problems. Now I am having to wait until the manager comes back to work in two days to get a resolution, I can not afford to keep paying for tow charges for the 2nd time.

We had a recall so we brought our Kia Soul 2015 to be repaired. They had the car for a month. When we got the car back it wasn't the same, the engine light came on. We called them again they said it was normal and our car was fine. We kept calling them the it wasn't. we were going to nh for a family reunion and bring his daughter back oo. They said that they needed to see the car onnly when the light was on, it always came on at odd times. But they assisted it was fine to go up North, well when we hit mass. The car blew it's engine. They ried to say we had no oil in in, my husband changed the oil before weleft and everything that the recall said would happen did happen.. the car was left in mass at tewksbury Kia and Kia would not fit the bill. So we have no car since we were in financial stress. I have no car they came and took from us. And I still have to pay even though I had the insurance were something happen it get paid off. So on a main highway our car died in the flow of traffic the scarcest thing in the world. Had to get a hotel, rental loss of work and had to depend on neighbors for a ride to work, I loved our car. After oil change my engine will burn all of its oil up within 2000 miles without any check engine light, warnings or leaks. This occurs when vehicle is in motion. This can result in engine lock up causing incident. I began noticing this issue in June of 2019 and was not sure if the oil filter had become loose or what? I did get under the vehicle and inspect for leaks to find none. Since several oil changes leading up to now the vehicle continues to burn all oil within 2000 miles before nxt oil change. I was also sure to check engine oil after each change to be sure engine oil was in fact full.

The contact was informed that there was an oil leak on the oil pan cover. The contact stated that the catalytic converter was previously repaired by an independent mechanic. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the contact was informed that the spark plugs and ignition coils needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 98,000.

I was driving on a one lane road inclining when loud noise started coming from the engine. When I found a safe place to pull over, as I pulled over, the engine malfunction light eliminated solid. I had the car towed to my mechanic who told me I needed a new engine. I then towed it to Kia, and was told by Kia that the engine threw a rod. Was told that there was so much metal shavings in the oil pan, the pan was replaced. There was no oil on the dipstick at breakdown. Kia told me it was because all the oil had burnt up. 30 days prior to breakdown I had a software update done to the eui, which update was to alert prior to rod end bearing failure. I provided all oil maintenance records to Kia and they replaced my engine free of charge. It took 6 weeks to complete..

Iin August while driving, my oil light flashed briefly and then went out. When I pulled into my driveway I checked my oil and there was barely any oil in the car. Based on my millage I was not yet do for an oil change and had not seen any indication that I was leaking oil ( not spots in driveway) I added oil and took the car to the dealership who did an oil change and began oil consumption tests. Engine is making a knocking noise constantly and rattling noise when decelerating.oil is not leaking on ground but car is consistently losing oil. Idles rough. I have already completed 3 oil consumption tests with Kia dealer who stated that there is a known issue with the 3rd cylinder rod bearing in these engines, just waiting for my diagnostic appointment.

Check engine light came on when I first got in the car went to a mechanic the code said it was an oxygen sensor switch wish I had changed last year and they recall at the Kia dealer after about two days the light went back off again was off for about a week came back on again went back to mechanic said it was the same code again the light went out he told me maybe it was bad gas in the car car engine light came back on about two weeks later I went to Kia paid $90 for diagnostic they said it was the catalytic converter $1,500 job I asked them if it was part of the oxygen sensor recall they said no and they said it wasn't covered under my hundred thousand mile guarantee I went to a private mechanic to have it repaired for $1,000 and the check engine light came back on a week later he put in a brand new catalytic converter from Kia I don't know what to do anymore because I love the car but I cannot spare this expense and I'm afraid if it will catch fire or die while I'm driving
