Tamara recall-issued for my vehicle in may of 2016. Next month will be a year and Lexus still hasn't done anything. I was originally told twice they were waiting on parts. When they called for my service appointment I asked if the parts were finally received. I was then told they're still "deciding" what to do. That shouldn't take one year!

I am still waiting for the takata airbags (about 1.5-2 yrs) to be replaced due to the recall but dealer just says nothing can be done until airbags are received. In addition, my dashboard has been melting for the last three years and now has become a safety issue because the glare blocks my line of vision during the day and at night due to the reflection of the lights.I told the dealer about this issue as well as Lexus customer service but I am just told that 2010 is not included in the recall campaign. I have been unable to take an accurate picture because the glare/line of vision blockage is hard to see.

We received a notice by mail that the airbags in our vehicle was being recalled and additional information regarding repair would be forthcoming. The notice was received May 2016, almost a year ago and no further notice has been received. The only recommendation from Lexus was to not have anybody sit in the front passenger seat which means not having full use of my own vehicle. This delay in taking action is unacceptable.

Takata & Lexus recall. Had been notified by Lexus two or three times that the recall for the passenger air bag would be in the first quarter of 2017--last on 2/6/17. On 3/20/17 was notified it would be by the last quarter of 2017. That means we have not had use of the passenger seat for probably a year. They offer a $35 allowance to have a vehicle which would not be the equal of what we have. I believe more pressure should be put on Lexus.

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2010 Lexus ES350. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16V340000 (air bags) and stated that the part was not available within a reasonable time frame to schedule the recall repair. The dealer did not give a specific date for when the part would become available. The dealer stated months ago that the contact would need to wait to receive the second recall notice from the manufacturer. The manufacturer could not provide an estimated date for when the contact's vehicle would receive the recall repair. The contact was not experiencing a failure. Takata recall, I don't understand why it has taken so long to address this issue. I was notified almost one year ago, I had to take a long trip with my family this past November 2016, and Lexus did provide a rental, however, the recall has made my family have to plan not to use the front sit and limits the vehicle's useful purpose. What disturbs me more, there has not been any further information regarding a scheduled remedy. How do you plan your vehicle's use? a projected scheduled remedy is in order, older vehicles affected should have priority, if schedules are announced it would be difficult for dealers to pick and choose what vehicle owners get serviced and in what order.
