Heater core failure. This causes vapor and odor from the engine coolant to leak through the vents and to coat the windshield with an oil-like substance making it impossible to see through the windshield. Heater core was replaced 10/04/04. Went out again 11/24/04. Ford Motor Company acknowledges that this is a recurring problem in this model vehicle. $737.54 to have heater core replaced. They 'think' they can prevent this from occuring again if they do something else that will cost me an additional $547, but 'no guarantee' that it won't happen again and no additional warranty on the heater core.
