During one of my long-term visits, I mentioned to the technician that the "key not found" alarm would go off, and even with new batteries in the key fob. I told him it sometimes when I first turn the car on, the alarm will come on, and then I turn off and back on and it will not come back on. Other times the alarm would come on while having been ridden for several miles. He said that it could be a bad communication with the vehicle and the key fob and could cause problems. He said he would check it out, but nothing ever came about it. My car was in their hands for almost 6 months over another issue that their technician broke and they could not get it to work again, so my worry was most focused on getting my vehicle back.
