Was notified by Ford Motor Co 7 months ago that there was a safety hazard with the airbag system and I would be notified when the part would be available. Received a 2nd notice recently to contact the dealer and now the dealer says they cannot order parts until the takata (air bag manufacturer) bankruptcy is resolved, possibly in the spring of 2018. This is unacceptable!!

Received recall letter 2016 contacted Ford dealers, no parts to repair letter said safe to drive. Contact Ford customer service asked that they fix it or buy it back. Received nasty fedex letter from Ford to take it up with auto better business if I had a problem. Now I receive letter from Ford don't let anyone ride in passenger seat. I haven't done that since the first letter. This is a safety violation. We need a class action suit against Ford.

I have been trying to get my defective airbag replaced since I received notice of this defect which was probably over a few years ago. I've called multiple dealerships and each time I've been told that the parts are on back order. I've read what can happen if the airbag deploys (e.g., serious injury, death) and I have to drive the car every day to work, etc. I have two small children so everyday I put my life and my children's lives in jeopardy. It's a ticking time bomb, but it isn't their lives who are at stake so they don't care. To say it's completely frustrating is an understatement.
