The manufacturer was notified and could not provide an estimated date for when the vehicle would receive the recall repair. The failure mileage was not available. Takata recall the passenger frontal airbag inflator was recalled on June 1, 2016. I have asked my dealer, ted britt Ford of fairfax, va (quick lane, 11200 james swart circle, fairfax, va 22030, 703-659-8431) ever since if they can replace the part and they say they have not received it yet. Each time I need to drive my nephew somewhere, he must sit in the back behind me because of this. He said to me the other day, "aunt [xxx], they are waiting for you or the car to die so they don't have to do it." This is so true and it is unacceptable. Please look into this laggardly performance and see if the bottleneck can be cleared.
