Ford Motor Company sent me a letter in May 2018 saying they still do not have air bag replacements but would get me a rental car until the replacements come in. I have contacted dealerships as they requested but no dealership can find a rental company to get me a car for the $44 a day they allow. I have contacted Ford Motor Company many many times since May 30, by phone, email and letter. The only thing I have gotten from them is a case number as follows: [xxx]. no help in getting a rental car. I am beyond frustrated and hope you can help. [xxx] car is registered in my husbands name [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

I have been unable to get my airbags replaced as part of the recall and have been told that they have absolutely no idea of when the parts will be available to take care of this. As it stands, it is unsafe for anyone to ride in the front passenger side of my car and I am deeply concerned about the safety of any driver of this vehicle in my family. I am highly upset that this is taking so long and that there seems to be no regard for the safety of my family. This is the main vehicle driven and I do not have the luxury of just parking it and waiting until someone decides we are important enough to fix this dangerous problem. I am deeply disappointed in how this is being handled.

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2009 Mercury Milan. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 18V046000 (air bags). The parts to do the repair were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact noticed, on the front driver?S side dashboard, that the seam of the air bag cover started to separate. The contact called crest automall (185 amity rd, woodbridge, ct 06525, (203) 389-7100) and was informed that the parts were not available for the recall remedy. The dealer stated that the air bag seam was a design flaw. The contact's husband glued the seam together as a temporary remedy; however, the contact began to notice that the seam was continuously separating from the dashboard. The contact took the vehicle to crest automall and was informed that they would only replace the air bag module. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer informed the contact that the parts were to become available within the third quarter. The failure mileage was unknown. VIN tool confirms parts not available. Contact stated before airbag issue side passenger dashboard was separating and dealer said it could not be replaced because it was a cosmetic issue and not under warranty. Contact did research online and found it was a common issue then later received notice of airbag defect. Dealer says part may not be available until end of year.

"takata recall" I received a notice of this recall on July 2016, Ford Motor Co. Was suppose to let me know when to come for replacement of airbag, well sometime in Nov. 2017 I received a notice from T K holdings Inc., which mention the recall. I thought they never have called me about the recall. Not long after that I was getting my oil changed and asked about the recall, I was told "that wont be no time soon". then now in Dec. 2017 I receive this notice again about the recall, which still do not have a date, but states'do not allow anyone to sit in the first row passenger seat.' I am upset to say the least, no one to ride in the front, this must be a joke; since they have known about this over a year ago, and no such statement was made. What can I do? of course I need to have complete use of my car ;not to use my front seat is to say I cant take my family with me anywhere. Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thank you
