Takata recall - I received a notice dated June 2018 advising of a recall due to the passenger airbag. The notice provided an eta for the parts to become available during the 2nd or 3rd quarter of 2018. I still have not received a call to have this issue resolved and we are now in the 4th quarter of 2018. I was advised by phone from the Ford dealer I could drive the car however I wouldn't be able to have anyone sit in the front seat. I would like to have this issue resolved as quickly as possible. I received a notice earlier this month advising of the airbag settlement with a hearing date set for December 11, 2018. I do not want to be excluded from this class action settlement and would like to receive more information in reference to this matter. Thank you for your assistance.

We received a recall nearly 2 years ago on potential problem with airbag in this vehicle. We have checked several times with dealership and have yet not been told they have the fix for the problem. The letters we have received have strongly urged no one ride in front passenger seat. This vehicle is driven by my wife and sometimes, myself. We however are not comfortable with someone sitting on passenger side front seat. So the extended time of nearly two years has been extremely inconvenient!

I've been trying to get a replacement airbag for my Ford/Mercury for years and years. Wrote them several times (have letters) and spoke to my dealership gosch Ford in hemet, ca. (have names and dates) which they continue to blame it on Ford Motor Co. All to no avail. Ford continues to send me safety recall letters and promises of next month, next quarter, next this and that. They never produce my/the airbag/S. and, when Ford came up with this ' rent a car' there was never one available: Enterprise was always out of cars. Plus the fact, it would have cost me money to rent one at some other rental Agency, pay for mileage on these rentals, or go to another city 45 minutes away for one, etc. Not a good deal at all. It has been very frustrating, discouraging, and they are, frankly in my view, not dealing in good faith. The commentators on tv, continue to say, "takata airbags maim and killing people - get your's replaced" now! we are trying to, but none are available at least from Ford. What are we to do? I am glad that a law suit has been filed. Maybe we'll get some action. If takata won't replace their airbags... I would think someone else I.e. 'the motor companies' would take that up and make their own to save the lives and build good will among their customers. Maybe we would then buy more american parts and their built here cars. I'm just glad my elderly father and grandchildren have not been harmed yet. It's hard to put 4 to 5 people in the car without using the passenger seat. We need help here and compensation for all the trouble, aggravation and promises not kept...along with these destructive airbags that they put in our cars and have refuse to replace all these years knowing full well in the beginning that they were defective. They've had plenty of time to correct this matter. Putter your head in the sand- now crying fowl... really. Go get them.

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2010 Mercury Milan. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 18V046000 (air bags). The contact called bill collins Ford Lincoln of louisville (502-459-9550, 4220 bardstown rd, louisville, ky 40218) and it was confirmed that the parts were not available. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and was not able to confirm when the parts were to become available. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available. Consumer states that the air bags have now been repaired. Consumer says that now the rear tail lights have been going out often. Vehicle has been repaired each time under warranty, but consumer is worried about if she will have to start paying for them when the warranty expires.

Takata recall--my car has been in the Florida sun since it was purchased by my late husband (valentine's gift for 2/14/2011). It has been under recall since June 2016! it is unsafe to drive. I have been given a loaner not close to the Milan. I only have 25,800+ miles on it! I am in the process of moving close to family--since I am alone and a senior citizen. What am I to do? I'm not supposed to drive it, can't sell it -- since I can't let anyone test drive it--it is in the middle of my driveway--this is a ridiculous situation, plus not I see there are warning lights on the dash (if I were to try and start it and the smell of gasoline. I need assistance--thank you for your attention, (xxxxxx) parts of this document have been redacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
