I noticed my steering column lock does not work. I went to the local Nissan dealer to have it repaired. I was set up with an appointment to have the ESLS repaired. Two hours after leaving the dealership, I received a call from the dealer explaining Nissan discontinued the ESCL in Altima as of 2010 and my 2011 Altima did not have a ESCL. Is this true?

Steering wheel lock failure is a known problem to Nissan and shouldn't leave drivers stranded waiting on a $600-$800 dollar fix. It should be a recalled part.
