The low beams on this vehicle are extremely unsafe. If there was to be a child or an animal darting in front of me, they would be done. I do not understand why there is no recall on this since it is a safety issue. I replaced bulbs but it didnt make a difference.

The low beam headlights have decreased in brightness after approx car being 4-5 years old & today are practically non existent. Dec 2019 I had to have headlights replaced with a halogen set of lights because new headlight bulb did nothing to increase visibility at night. I've had to run headlights on low beam & fog lights for a few years to have very low visibility. At this time the headlights are virtually non existent except when running on high beams which is causing a great danger to me, my husband & other drivers on road. Nissan has stated they're investigating the issue with these headlights & denies any responsibility due to car being in warranty or recall issued.

Having issue with low bean lights. I can't see at night. This problem is not fixable. This will be my third headlight assembly. Nissan is not taking ownership and this should be a recall. It's not safe to driver at night unless I turn on my high beams.

Replaced both headlight assemblies due to deterioration of reflectors. Common failure on this model. No Nissan recall. Safety issue with faulty lights. Since replacing both assemblies, have had to replace a bulb twice. Going to the dealer again because of light failure.

The dim lights are so very dim that it is a hazard to drive at night while the lights are on dim. The brights works fine. It's seems the actual light itself works fine but the surround unit/casing/part that houses the dim light has a tendency to to wear off and not reflect the lights as it should. It's my understanding that this is the reason for the dim lighting. Changing bulb will not correct the problem. The dim lights are extremely dim whether the car is in motion or stationary. This is an ongoing problem that continues to get worse. I did put the incident date as 02/19/2021 but is been ongoing and deteriorating. It much more apparent on dark highways as oppose to brightly lit city streets. The Nissan dealership said the only remedy is to change the entire head lamp unit for around $1000. It's my understanding that this is an issues with 2013-2015ish Nissan Altima. Since there are so many with this issue and it's such a hazard there should be a recall. Replacing the entire head lamp with a head light with the same issues seems to be a waste of consumer money. Further, if Nissan improved the head lamp, then they know there's an issue. Please investigate and issue a recall on the dim light hazard.

I purchased my 2013 Nissan Altima in 2015. Initially the headlights were fine and seemed comparable with my previous Altima it was a 2010. Over the course of the past four years the headlights have deteriorated to the point that they no longer project to the road. I have replace the bulbs and spent an astronomical amount of money investing in high intensity bulbs, with no change. I would be better off taping flashlights to the front of my car, this vehicle is extremely unsafe to drive in the evening. I see that Nissan has not recognized this as a recall however there are hundreds if not thousands of similar complaints. This car is not safe to drive after 4 pm until at least 7 am.

The low beam headlight output is so terrible I have to use my high beams at dusk or night in order to see. This is a safety hazard for myself and other drivers. Low beam headlights very dim. Changed out halogen bulbs to led bulbs and there was no difference. Internet search results are the reflective masterial in the projectors is worn off. Come to find out from many online forums thousands of people have this same issue. Nissan should be replacing these for the safety of there customers!!

The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Altima. The contact stated while driving at night, she was unable to see the road with the low beam headlights. The contact called the local dealer heritage Nissan (1500 veterans memorial hwy ne, rome, ga 30161, (706) 291-1981) and made the dealer aware of the failure. The vehicle had not been diagnosed nor repaired as of yet. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 112,000. Dealership told the consumer the reflector and the entire headlight be replaced.

The low beam headlights simply do not work. I cannot see the road directly in front of me while driving at night. I thought it was just me at first then realized that this is a national and recognized problem within the Nissan world. Using the high beam in place of the low beam does not fix the problem as they are not true high beam lights either. This has to be a safety issue. New light bulbs dont resolve this issue. Why doni have to pay over $1000 to fix a Nissan problem.

Purchased a new 2013 alitima almost 8 years ago. On Jan 17, 2021, as I was driving, others were honking their horns and as I turned into a dim street, I wasn't able to see ahead of me. Very scary as I could have hit neighbors who are walking in the evening after dark. No longer comfortable driving at night. Dealer said although I purchased the gold preffered extended warranty, that this issue is not covered. I opened a case at Nissan consumer complaints and they said sorry but there are no recalls and the warranty won't cover it. $1305.63 is way too much that I would have to pay for a safety issue.
