I bought the Nissan Pathfinder brand new off the lot in late 2007. It only has 45 thousand miles on it. I've never had any problems with this vehicle until now. About 2 weeks ago I thought someone was stealing gas out of my vehicle, but thought it was nearly impossible because it's kept behind a locked fence. Saturday July 13th I had to fill up because of a storm. When I gas finished fueling it showed that I had an empty tank. I knew that was wrong so I decided to give Nissan a call at 1-800-647-7261. I spoke to an agent and told him my problem, he gave me a case number and told me to call the nearest Nissan dealership closest to me. I called the Nissan dealership's service department and they told me that I would have to pay for any services I had done to my vehicle.. I don't agree. There are multiple people with the same vehicle as myself and I believe there should be a recall on this problem. If anyone can help me, please feel free to help. I'm on a fixed income and this was not any negligence on my part. I have a case number already on file with Nissan, but the dealership doesn't want to honor it. [xxx]. hel me wit the next step to get my vehicle fixed. Thank you information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

While driving Thursday, February 14th, 2019, my check engine light came on. I pulled over in a nearby parking lot as soon as I could. At this point, I noticed that my fuel gauge had dropped from 1/4 tank down to empty. I used an odb2 scanner to check my error codes, and found an error code P0463 (fuel tank level sensor - voltage high). I immediately proceeded to a gas station, refueled, and cleared the engine code to see if it would reappear. It has not since reappeared. After some research, I found that this is a known issue for 2008 Nissan Pathfinders, and that there is a recall associated with the issue. The NHTSA campaign id is 10V075000. I called Nissan's public number and a local dealership owned service center. Neither found any active recalls regarding my vehicle, and neither knew what a NHTSA campaign id number was. I asked to speak to the manager of the service center. I left a voice mail for them Thursday afternoon, but have not heard back. Based on the symptoms my vehicle is experiencing, I believe my vehicle is likely suffering from the same issue as described in the aforementioned NHTSA campaign, and that my vehicle, and likely others, were missed in the recall.

The dashboard fuel guage does not reliably report the level of fuel. This issue led to a recall for 2008 Pathfinders in the past, but apparently not for my VIN. The issue occurs at various times, including when stationary or moving. Sometimes refilling the tank will give a full tank reading, some times it will not. It will also allow the tank to run down to empty without reflecting that on the guage. Often, but not always, the yellow service engine light will illuminate as a result.

The pressure relief valve (I think that's what it's called) had to be replaced. It cost me $350 but I didn't keep a receipt. An individual that had a shop did the repair but has since moved and I have no idea where. I was unable to put more than a few gallons of gas when pumping gas before it would cut off. I would wait a few minutes and pump a few more gallons and it would cut off again. I had it replaced last year but I don't remember the mileage.

Problems start after I ended payments on my car; the surround sound got bad and I have to replaced it $500. Cost me. Takata recall I did called the dealer and told me my VIN number isn't in the recall so they said nothing to worry, then another situation came up about the fuel pump, I did called the dealer and they said my VIN number isn't in the recall either and I had pay $600. In May 9, 2016 first time I was driving my car and broke down in the middle of the intersection, also another time I was driving on the bridge and when I was driving the car was going down on the bridge broke down out of not where, was very scary, police and other people help push my car to a safety area. Both time was because I run out of gas cause the gear pump wasn't telling me I run out of gas. Next one was the radiator and trans service. They said radiator was crack need to replace I spent $800. Next problem P1774 said low coast brake-fastens solenoid valve function. All this time engine light came on and charged me $50. To reset light. Then next problem is the transmission now is 4 gear come with issues and is in the mechanic now, June 6, 2017 I need to replace it and charging me $3,200. But they still working own cause they don't know yet if doesn't work I will need to pay more. This is ridiculous cause this car only have 8 years and I keep maintaining my car since I got it, so disappointed and I shouldn't didn't pay for all this cause is a recall and my car is 2008 and all the problems my car had is in the recall just cause my VIN number isn't that isn't fear. Hope anybody understand my frustrations and find the solution of this problems. Pay me back what I being putting in to this car.

The vehicle fuel sensor shows that it's empty as soon as the vehicle has a quarter tank of gas left. Mileage does not show even though the vehicle has gas. This happens when they vehicle is turned on and in motion. I do see that Nissan has a recall for this specific problem (NHTSA campaign number: 10V075000) but there are no recalls associated with my vehicle VIN #

A) the service light comes on for the evap system. Took to Nissan and they initially said it wasn't anything then it turned into a cpu being bad (after 3 trips) now the light is on again and it's an evap code again for the charcoal vent system. I've looked it up and this is a known issue and was even recalled on the xterra. The issue being the location of the charcoal filter. B) the steering box vibrates or causes a severe steering wheel vibration

The contact owns a 2008 Nissan Pathfinder. While driving 50 mph, the vehicle stalled. In addition, the fuel gauge displayed an incorrect reading. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that a fuel sensor float arm needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, a couple of months after the repairs while driving 60 mph, the brake warning light illuminated. The brake pedal was depressed and an abnormal noise emitted from the brake pedal as it depressed all the way to the floor, but failed to function. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that there was an intermittent brake failure and that the delta stroke sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was taken to a dealer who confirmed the failure and replaced the delta stroke sensor. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and stated that an extended warranty campaign for the fuel system failure was available, but the vehicle exceeded the acceptable mileage. The failure mileage was 95,000.

Fuel system, gauge not functioning. The fuel gauge randomly shows empty when not empty or even full, then shows random readings that do not accurately show fuel level. Just 2 days ago I showed 3/8 tank. Went to store then showed 5/8 after starting vehicle. Trying to manually track milage so I do not run out of gas since gauge is not working. Nissan contacted twice about recall/campaign# 10V075000. Was told my VIN is not included. I have researched the complaints on this website and out of 184, 43 are confirmed this issue not included in recall, additional 11 same complaint but unable to tell if included in recall. If accurate fuel reading was concern enough for recall 10V075000, how do an additional 43-54 complaints not cause additional vehicles to be included. This is 25% of all safety complaints on this vehicle on this web page. Please force Nissan to address this obvious vehicle flaw and safety issue. I do have pictures, did not attach but will provide if requested. I have both email responses from nissian, will provide if requested.

Digital gas milage and gas gauge needle not reading how much gas is actually in the tank. Needle goes below E and gas light comes on even when I have a full tank. Digital gas milage goes to 0 or gives all dashes no matter how much gas I have. Or when I am low on gas the needle will read I have more than I do. This happens randomly while stationary, while driving on city street and highway. Fluctuates in the middle of a trip, etc.
