Was told by my mechanic that the ABS control module needs to be replaced. All ABS warning lights are illuminated on the dash panel cluster. He said the Ram/Mopar has an over 1 year wait for this part to be back in stock. That is insane. What scam is this from FCA/RAM" Are people supposed to drive around their truck and hope the ABS system doesn't fail and end of hurting someone because they discontinued the part. Absolute frustrating and uncalled for by FCA/RAM. This also a very widespread issue with these modules in RAM trucks and why isn't something done about this? How can they sell vehicles that are potentially very very unsafe"

ABS module failed, Error Code C2200. Issue is so common that replacements parts are unavailable nationwide and have been for months. Dealership has reported that the module is under "Engineering Review" with the manufacturer and has been for over a year with the deadlines being extended repeatedly. This is a safety issue, and the truck cannot be repaired.

ABS module is faulty. I was told at the local Pep Boys after running a diagnostic test that the ABS module has an error. There is a recall on the electronic systems with the ABS I am aware of and would like to have that fixed on a recall.

The vehicle has a fault in the ABS system that is causing the ABS light to stay on, as well as the traction control light and the Brake light. This means the brakes will lock up, causing the vehicle to slide, the vehicle has no assisted traction control, and the cruise control will not engage. In a vehicle like this (a pick-up truck) the back end is notoriously light and will easily loose traction during emergency braking and without traction control, can easily lose control on wet roads. The part needed to repair this issue, the ABS Module, is unavailable anywhere...and has been for years now. Some can still be found in old junk vehicles, or for sale out of used vehicles, but these have no guarantee and are no safer or less susceptible to failure than the stock product. No to mention they can only be found at exorbitant prices since they are in such high demand on an obviously sub-par part. Why does this part have so many issues and why is it impossible to fix? The vehicle is unsafe without this fix! The tires absolutely slide on wet roads now with loss of steering control and the rear end easily breaks free of traction on wet roads! The vehicle also will not pass inspection anymore because of this issue. This has been a problem for a year at this point.,

I have been the only owner of this truck since it was new from the factory. Some time in the first part of 2022 the ABS module light on the dash was coming on and then going off. When I needed an oil change I took the truck to the dealer I always go to and informed the service writer about it. They said they couldn't check it out for the module until it completely goes out. So, on 5/22/23 I took the truck to the dealer cause the ABS module went out along with my trailer brake control and traction control. The service writer called the parts depart. to see if the module was in house and parts said they would have to order it. Service writer said I could drive the truck and I told them that the brakes are not the same as when the module was working. I told them that you have to push harder on the pedal and that the brakes are not stopping as quickly. He said it would be alright. Every time I take the truck in for an oil change I ask them about the module and call them quite often and the service writer's tell me the same about the module. Parts can not get a module from the manufacturer and don't know when they will get one but, the part is on order. The service writer did give me a phone number to the manufacturer linking me to a help department to see if they can inquire or know why the company is not making them. On 1/23/25 I did call the manufacturer and talk to one of the personal there. The person did not have any information on the module and they said they couldn't tell me why there are no ABS MODULES and that I should keep calling the parts department at my local dealer. So, I guess I don't know when the brakes will completely go out while I am driving it or my family is in it with me that may cause a wreck. I can't pull my camper and haven't for two years now. I don't know what will happen on a rain slick road or an ice and snow covered road. I can't sell the truck or trade it in to get a proper vehicle. Please help Thank You

ABS Control Module has failed. The part number is 68228991AD. The dealership informed me the manufacturer no longer makes this part, and they were unable to resolve the issue. While I was advised by the dealership the truck is ok to drive, my additional research indicated a failed ABS module can lead to the wheels locking up while driving, the speedometer to stop working and the transmission locking out due to the computer system thinking there-??s a break failure. This is a huge safety risk to others around me on the road, myself and my family.

On or around august of 2023 I received a warning light to service ABS system. After I scanned the truck I received the following codes, C2200 status: MIL/CONFIRMED - Anti-lock Brake Module Internal: Internal Electronic Failure, and U0415 status: MIL/CONFIRMED - Invalid Data Received from Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Control Module 'A-??: No Sub Type Information. I took the truck to a mechanic to confirm and repair. I was told that the ABS module would need to be replaced but that it was on back order. Since then the ABS system has randomly worked properly and randomly failed. Without a properly working ABS system it is very dangerous to drive due to the lack of traction control, anti-lock brakes, trailer brakes and all other items related to the ABS system. This could cause an accident. I have tried since to get a new ABS module and every time I inquired about it the module has been on back order. I was told by multiple mechanics that this is a common issue with FCA vehicles and the ABS modules are always on back order and very difficult to get. This is a very serious concern if I can-??t buy a part that has to due with the braking system. The truck is available for inspection upon request

The ABS lights came on and then I started to have traction issues. When it rains I start to spin out even when lightly accelerating. Having brand new tires and four wheel drive, I should be able to make it up a slightly snowed on road without issues. I can't haul anything with the truck because it just spins in place. I can't trust the brakes when trying to stop in almost any condition. It was confirmed by a Ram dealership that it is in fact the ABS module issue. There was no prior issues with the trucks driving before the lights came on. I have been checking for over a year for this part, as it has been on back order. The RAM dealership said there were other trucks with this same issue and no resolution due to the part being unavailable everywhere. This poses a safety risk to myself and my family, as well as others around me if the brakes lock up and go out.

Component is not available as a replacement is not and has not been available from the manufacturer. -ABS and traction control are disabled as well as cruise control due to this failure. -The dealer is aware of the problem, it is widespread and they are not manufacturing replacement parts until the issue can be resolved. -The componant for my vehicle has not been inspected withb the exception of pulling fault codes and identifying it as a well known issue. -The ABS, Traction Control, and Brake warning lights stay on at all times and will not reset.

This has been going on for over two years. I have a life time warranty through Chrysler as long as I own the truck. Since the warning lights have been on I have had many instances where my truck has lost control and slipped on the highway most of the time in rain. I have also had my truck lock up once, when a person made a right turn into my lane in front of me, forcing me to hit the breaks. My truck skid through the intersection and almost rear ended the vehicle. I avoid traveling with my family in the truck now.

Stellantis/Ram for over 10 months now have claim that the ABS Module is under engineering review to me. The ABS Module controls the brake anti skid, sway control, cruise control and other systems. Since 3/2024 I've tried to replace this module but it's not in stock because of not being produced. It's a manufactured control item only. I was informed by Gator Dodge this has been a problem for almost a year now if not longer. Called Stellantis/Ram and was informed to go to a junk yard to get a replacement with no product control. Tried to exchange it for a new truck but the dealer does not want it on it"s lot because of no anti skid and other functions this module controls. If it's not safe enough for Ram to sale how can it be a safe vehicle on public road ways? To answer any questions, yes the truck has been inspect by Gator Ram and a certified independent mechanic. As a retired Airline Captain if this was a plane the FAA would have grounded it until the problems were address.

Hello, the ABS module failed in September 2023. This caused the ABS, traction control, and cruise control to be disabled. My local dealer inspected it to confirm the issue and placed an order for a replacement. It is now October 2024 (yes, 13 months later), and Stellanis is still unable to provide an estimate for part delivery. I am unable to pass my state saftey inspection and do not have the safety features that the part enables. I have communicated with stellanis for the past 8 months but they continue to say they cannot provide an ETA for the part. I don't know where else to go to resolve the issue to make my truck safe to drive.

The antilock brake system module ($1200) is defective and has not been available for more than a year after contacting four dealerships in Alabama and Florida. The antilock brake system warning lights are on the left side of the dash. When the center warning comes up on the dash the truck feels like the rear end is about to lock up and fall off. All the dealers I contacted stated this is a known and long-term problem. I called dodge corporate (1-866-726-4636) and said the modules are being reengineered then manufactured and may be ordered by dealerships after October 16, 2024. They could not guarantee it would be available to order if not I was told to call corporate back, and they would try to find one. I have an appointment to take my vehicle to the dealership due to excessive back logs at all dealerships, The center warning center comes up moments before the backend is affected. The lights on the left side are always on. Currently there are no recalls.

ABS control module failed, is widespread problem in this generation vehicle and there is no available part for repair so my truck has no functioning ABS, this also disabled traction control creating an unsafe vehicle to drive. I have a fault in the ABS Control Module. I have been waiting on a replacement part since September of 2023. The current part number for repair has been discontinued and it sounds like the ABS Control Module is under engineering review. When the fault is thrown it turns of traction control and does not allow the use of 4 wheel drive. I have serious safety concerns when driving my vehicle when the abs fault is thrown. If the part has been discontinued and it is under engineering review how has it not been recalled.
