While driving to work on a smooth straight road, the emergency information screen in my gauge cluster started flashing and stated "service power steering" "service electronic brake system" "service electronic brake controller" "service transmission" it also stated to not shift to park as shifting may become inoperable once stopped. My power steering was gone, my gas pedal was inoperable and braking was very weak. I had to muscle the truck to the side of the road and slowly come to a stop and shifted into park. I turned the key fob to off and let it sit for a few minutes. When I tried to restart the vehicle it would not even attempt to turn over. Now, my key fob was also stuck in the ignition and would not turn to the off position to remove the key. I called Chrysler roadside assistance and sat on hold for 55 minutes before the first person answered the phone. After 10-15 min we had a tow truck set up but that wouldn't be there for another 75 minutes. So from the time I called to when the tow truck actually arrived it was almost 2.5 hours! good thing it wasn't the middle of winter. They replaced the ignition module. That wasn't the problem. Then they thought it was the BCM. That didn't work as they now "only have communication with half of the vehicle". I'm still not sure what that means but that's where we are at day 7. I do not want this vehicle back. I do not feel safe driving it if the service department has no idea how to properly fix it or even know if they have properly fixed it with their guess and check methods. If I had been traveling at higher speeds or pulling a trailer when this happened, the outcome could have been disasterous! or even worse if my wife had been driving in 4WD and lost power steering there is no way she could have pulled the vehicle over safely. Huge safety concern that I want no part of. This is on top of the 5+ recalls.

While turning left or right and accelrating there is a clunking noise in the front end. Brought to dealer and they said the lower steering shaft was bad and would be repaired free of charge since it was under warenty. Got a call 2 days later and was told it was the upper shaft and bearing that needed to be repaced also, so now they have my car for 4 days. I call on day 5 and they tell me it wont be ready and they would call me when it was so I do not have my truck over the labor day weekend they are closed Monday labor day. I call on Tuesday Sept.8, 2015 and am told they had to order and will be replacing the rack and pinion set up in the steering. I do not belive they know what is wrong and are going to replace all the componets till they find the source of the noise.

I have brought my truck back to the dealership due to a rattle in my steering wheel. The rattle occurs when traveling from a standstill up to 30 miles per hour. The dealer was made aware of this situation the week that the bought the truck. It has been brought back 5 times, and each time they acknowledged that there was an issue with my steering system. They stated that they could hear the rattle, and would fix it. The first 3 times it was brought to the dealer, they sent me away stating that they corrected the issue. Once I got back home, and encountered bumpy roads, the rattle was still there. The following 2 times it was at the dealership, they sent me away stating that they would not work on my vehicle any further because they did not know what was causing the rattle. They have reseated both the passenger side and drivers side air bags, they tightened a wire harness on my steering column, then they replaced my steering column coupling, and finally they replaced the entire steering column. They have no idea what they are trying to fix. They stated to me that the know there is an issue, but do not know what is causing it. This issue could very well be a safety issue, as it has to do with my steering system. My vehicle has 5000 miles on it, and has been back to the dealer ship 5 times. I have owned the vehicle for 5 months.

Traveling West on I-4, orlando, fl between sand lake road and exit to 528E at 1:25 pm in left hand lane. As I attempted to change lanes to the right I accelerated slightly and felt a "thump" (the only way I can describe it) through the steering wheel and the truck suddenly accelerated and fish tailed. I lost control for that instant and my truck struck the vehicle to my left in the rear by the tail lights on the passenger side. I was able to regain control of my truck and pull to the side of the road as did the other vehicle. My complaint centers on why the truck suddenly accelerated; what was the "thump" that I felt; is there a problem with the transmission (new design for 2014) and the rear differential; what would cause this sudden acceleration" have there been other complaints of this nature on this or other Chrysler models" please respond asap.

On 13 may I was coming to a metered light when a lane splitter caused me to hard brake to avoid the splitter. My truck, with no prompting from me shut off. I was nearly rear ended by a semi behind me. On 6 June I was coming to a light and nearly stopped and my truck shut off. On 7 July I was coming to a stop at a stop light and my truck shut off. Each time this happens the truck turns off, the turn dial flashes "P" (as it is currently in D). I put the truck in P, turn the ignition back on, place turn dial into D and drive. Each time carl burger Dodge says that my truck doesnt "code" and they cant recreate the issue. I provided them with video's of what happens that I found on youtube and thats when they started a "star" case with Chrysler main. My Chrysler customer care assistance admits there is an issue saying "the tech's are working on it" but then says the best they can do is "give me 3 free years of oil changes". I am a disabled veteran and I have reached lemon law status but carl burger is not doing anything and Chrysler says its carl burgers responsibility to take my truck back but carl burger says its Chrysler. This truck is going to get me killed. There is another reported case in chula vista, ca and Chrysler also gave them 3 free years of oil changes just like they did with me. Your recall didnt include this year/make and model and it cant just be my truck, there is a Dodge forumn that has this issue on the entire thread but since no customers vehicles "code" Chrysler is keeping this quiet, I think they really have no idea what it is. Carl burger says they cant keep taking my truck apart but "we believe you". please look into this.

I was driving along on route 220 near lock haven pa in which they are doing construction there is uneven payment pot holes etc I was doing 45 mph at the time due to construction zone when I hit a pot hole I heard a loud pop noise so I immediately pulled over looked at my truck didn't see anything so I continued driving apon arriving at my home ten mile up the road I noticed steering was funny once in my driveway I looked over my truck again to my surprise I found a crack on the knuckle at the upper ball joint the knuckle had cracked right at the upper ball joint on the casting seam I called dealership and they said they haven't heard of such a thing after hrs of arguing with them to fix it I had it towed to the dealership where they had the truck for a week and told me it wasn't covered under warranty keep in mind I only had the truck for 2-3 months and it should of been covered I know Dodge has had issues in the past with suspension problems and I find it a great concern as this could of caused a serious crash very disappointed with Dodge at this point I'd rather not even keep the truck as I feel it's not very safe

I was driving my Dodge Ram 1500 from milwaukee, wi to memphis, tn on a vacation. While driving at speeds in excess of 80 mph, I noticed a lot of shaking and vibrating from the steering wheel thru the entire cab of the truck. I noticed the same thing when driving back home from memphis. I had taken my truck back to the dealer at an earlier date, however the dealership stated that they didn't notice any vibrating when they drove the truck. They did share that they could not drive my vehicle at excessive speeds, however gave me the same information in my latest complaint on 7/23/2015. I shared my concerns prior to hearing about the current recall on Dodge Ram 1500 trucks and hope that my vehicle doesn't have any safety issues that could lead to injury.

Today is July 10, 2015. The vehicle is 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 crew cab pickup purchase new. On the steering wheel where the horn and airbag are located the seam cracked or separated starting just below the letter "S" stamped on it for SRS airbags and if you are sitting in the drivers seat and looking at the wheel the crack or separation continues from that point and runs straight to the right and up to the end of the cover for the SRS airbag in the steering wheel. When the horn is pressed the casing which is cracked or separated scratches you or your fingers get stuck or caught inside the opening. The dealer stated that because the mileage is over the 3 year 36000 mile warranty it would not be covered. However, if we agreed to have additional maintenance done today unrelated to the free oil change they would cover the cost to repair the defect. Please note the dealer confirmed it was a manufactured defect. I contacted Chrysler and filed a complaint with them.

I have an alignment issue with vehicle that is causing feathering of right front tire that has not/cannot be corrected by alignment in two attempts to date. Dealing with manufacturer customer care, my assigned case number is 26625890. Manufacturer has now suggested a road force balance of all four tires, after two alignments have failed to correct feathering problem. Have monitored heat buildup on that tire in relation to the other three and find heat buildup exceeds 110 degrees above other three. Have also discovered three other trucks of same manufacturer, model that are exhibiting same problem, one owner also has open case with customer care as well, his case number is 26745473. We both seem to be getting nothing but lip service from dealers and not much more from manufacturer, with no sincere effort to get to root cause of problem. I believe that this condition extends to more trucks than mine, and warrants further investigation. It appears based on my dealings with manufacturer and dealers that they are not only unable to correct problem, I think they are unaware that a problem even exists. My concern on this issue is safety related, having a fear of a catastrophic tire failure, due to heat and tire pressure build up, as well as feathering as indication of a suspension problem. This issue causing abnormal forces being applied to right front tire. I have all alignment records and dealer service orders available for your review. I have contacted you in compliance with manufacturer recommendations found in lemon law and owners booklets provided by manufacturer.
