Tailgate drops many times while driving down the road and on occasion while parked the problem is in the auto lock. Many complaints listed on the net with same problem.on one occasion while at grocery parking lot the tailgate fell on a 65 yr old lady walking by. I was terrified that I was going to get sued.

Ram 1500 hemi 2015 tradesman with the famous hemi tick. Manifold bolts broke off causing loud tick sound at start up and sometimes when driving. I have read hundreds of complaints in regards of this hemi tick issue. Why isn't this a recall. Dealer is charging $650 each side.

We bought this pickup new from the Chrysler dealer in san jose on capital expressway. The problem, which I believe can turn deadly, is that the fuel filler tube on the vehicle is dropping below the entry cap. It gets pushed further down everytime you fill it up. Sometimes you can not get the gas filler hose out of the tank. It once took three people to get it removed. I believe this to be a very dangerous situation. It tends to loosen the neck of the filler every time. I took it to the dealer and their response was "yeah, we know about that but there is no fix" I wrote to Fiat and they blew it off. I am worried about this as a safety issue, you are my last resort. I had a picture but its too hard to see what going on, I'm not sure that's a help. This happens when the vehicle is stationary while pumping in gas. You are requesting a date when this happened. It happens every time I fill up.

One day last week I woke up and my left rear steering wheel control button stopped functioning. (turns the radio station tuning down) also the high mounted reverse lights do not work when in reverse. I also had a blown high mounted rear brake light bulb out which was replaced. Horn works no check engine light. I have not taken it to do to diagnostic cost.

To whom it may concern, I own a 2015 Ram 1500 big horn crew cab with 8 speed (8hp70) transmission. The truck intermitently issues check engine light and goes away a few times through out the day and or will stay off. Obdii code P1D8C is stored currently in the car. This is the code that says (parking prawl selonoid in open position) this is close if not the same issue in 8hp70 transmission in other vehicles of other years that have been recalled. This is a safety issue because one day I wouldn't know if the truck is actually in park mechanically or not. Currently I have not seen a recall for my current year model truck but bringing it to your attention as there are same or similar recalls for the same transmission in other models. Check engine light has been on when in motion and also when parked, sometimes it'll go away both while moving or parked.

While driving the truck there was a thump sound which cause the truck to stall causing truck to slow down instantlay. However it does this for a few seconds then it will accelerate and continue on drliving. This has happened several times even after taking it to the dealership. They said they can't find anything wrong but it has no certain speed that it will do it. It just happens randomly with no specific speed when it happens. It happened on the interstate and on a regular highway road there was a difference in speed each time.

We where stopped at a red light the console display said to place the vehicle into park. The dashboard then lost power and smoke started to come out from under the hood it was a light gray at first but quickly changed to brown and the flames where coming out. I had just enough time to get out and get my 6yr old son out of his car seat and then call 911. Within a couple of minutes the engine was in flames.

On November 05, 2016 at approximately 1230 hours I walked out to my Ram 1500 pick up truck, which was parked in my driveway and started it up. I pulled the truck forward in my driveway approximately a full truck length, put the truck in park and exited the truck, leaving the driver side door open. The truck was left idling. I began to walk to the rear of my truck, where a friend was standing near my flatbed trailer. The plan was to hook the trailer up to the truck. As I was walking to the rear of my truck, I observed the truck rolling backwards. I immediately turned around and began to run back to the truck. As the truck was rolling, the driver side door caught the tire of the vehicle parked next to it. As I jump back in the truck I check the shift indicator and observed it to be in park while rolling. The driver side door was then pushed backwards and into the driver side front fender. I then stepped on the brake and the vehicle came to a stop.

Truck had a leak behind the dash which couldn't be repaired after multiple attempts. Moisture within the cab of the truck has caused anything metal in the cab to rust and has also affected some electrical components. I noticed the leak more while the truck was stationary during heavy rains/snow. Leak was noticed in or around 11/2015 and confirmed in 1/2016 and is now assumingly repaired. Rust is a major concern along with moisture that may have an affect on electrical components of the vehicle.

Vehicle check engine light came on, took to dealer who noticed black sludge in coolant. I was told it wouldn't be under warranty and someone had sabotaged truck. I told them it looked like oil in coolant and that's exactly what it was. Faulty oil cooler led to oil in every part that engine coolant encompasses. This leads to the truck overheating very quickly at times. Possibility of coolant in the engine black as well, they cannot prove otherwise which could lead to cracked engine blocks. My truck has been in the shop for approx 75 days and they have replaced numerous parts with no remedy to the check engine light continuing to come on. Vehicle was in motion when light originally came on. It's now been to two different dealers and I have researched and discovered hundreds of other cases. This is a faulty oil cooler in 2014-2017 models of the Dodge eco diesel 1500 pickup. Fca put me off for weeks saying they would call me and never would, the dealership refused to give me paperwork detailing the process and fca could not reach the dealership for weeks. This truck has an issue that Chrysler needs to address.

The trim of the center console is made of a material that reflects light so much, that in direct sunlight it is reflected into the drivers eyes. I have had to put a towel over the trim to keep this from happening. On bright days it is actually blinding.

Shaking and vibration throughout truck between 47 and 70 mph. Vehicle has been in shops a total of nine times since purchase in 2015. Tires 're P laced twice with no positive outcome. Dealership states problem with Goodyear wrangled sr-a tires. New tires installed and same problem exist. Mechanical problem suspected with vehicle even though dealership states there is none. I have paid outside shops to check tires and no issues reported. Two other owners have stated they are having the same issue with other brand tires. Dealership does not want to acknowledge a mechanical issue. Safety and warranty compliance needed on these model trucks. Please have Ram corporation perform internal quality check on all vehicles and remedy complaint.

Diesel emissions: Dozens of times in the 7 months since purchasing the vehicle: When driving at medium to slow traffic speeds or parking lot speeds (5mph - 20mph), or when sitting stopped, if the climate control fan is on - it blows heavy diesel exhaust fumes into the cabin. These fumes are only coming in through the climate control system. When the windows are open we do not get fumes, there are no heavy fumes around the outside of the vehicle. We only get diesel fumes being blown in via climate control. If we turn off climate control, the fumes stop. They are strong enough at times to cause eyes to tear up. They have happened when we were in empty remote parking lots - so no other vehicles around. They have happened with heat / or cool system on. We do not get noticeable fumes in the cabin when traveling at faster/highway speeds. This has happened many times, however this complaint form only allows picking one date.

On 2-24-16, an accident with the vehicle happened during which the driver had no control of the vehicle. Per the police report, vehicle was parked in a parking space facing southwest. Unoccupied vehicle backed up from its parking position in the northeast direction colliding with a building column. The rear bumper of the vehicle collided with a block column causing cement blocks to be knocked out of position. There were no injuries on the scene. Driver left the vehicle in park, turned off the ignition to the vehicle, exited the vehicle and lcoked it with the keys in his pocket. He then entered a store.and approx. 15 minutes later, security located him and informed him that the vehicle had backed into their building jumping a curb and accelerating. Driver advised that he had the key fob in his pocket teh whole time. He stated the vehicle could not be cranked and would automatically shut off if he was a certain distance away from the vehicle. He advised he did not know how the vehicle cranked, traveled in reverse and then collided with the building. He advised that someone told him the vehicle's reverse lights were activated when they observed the crash. Security video was obtained and a police report was filed. Later he learned that there had been similar incidents for similar vehicles and contacted Chrysler. On March 17, 2016 owner of the vehicle received a letter from Fiat Chrysler automobiles (fca us llc) stating that the company does not believe that it was due to a manufacturing responsibility. However, upon further research, information shows that a recall was issued for what may have caused the problem. On August 14, 2015 chryselr issued a recall for radio software security vulnerabilites. Owner does not know if the dealership had serviced the vehicle for the issue.

The Ram 2015 passenger side tow package large mirror optics are poorly designed for viewing traffic on the rear and side of the vehicle. The current large passenger side mirror is magnified, and provides poor viewing coverage of other vehicles. It creates tunnel vision with many blind spots. It is extremely difficult to adjust the mirrors to see traffic around the vehicle. I have tried to get the manufacturer to replace the mirror but they just give me the run around, and refuse to acknowledge this safety concern. The standard mirror for 2015 Dodge Ram is parabolic with the words printed at the bottom of the mirror "objects in mirror are closer than they appear" is ok. This is same as my last pickup a 2005 Ram 1500 and the mirrors are great, but my new 2015 Ram passenger side mirrors included in the tow package are very unsafe to operate. I would think paying an extra $410 for the tow package mirrors option would improve the view, but just the opposite is true the mirrors are unsafe. Any day I use my new Ram 2015, given the high and limited view of full a size pickup I risk getting into an accident. The dealer personnel have driven the truck and agree it is unsafe but can't get the manufacturer to do anything. I have opened a case number with Chrysler, #28409386, administrator "angel", and tried to get them to take action before someone is killed. At the dealer recently I noticed 3 trucks in the body shop with the same tow package mirrors all wrecked on the passenger side by running into vehicles. I strongly recommend a recall where Chrysler replaces the tow package mirror with a standard parabolic mirror, used by almost everyone in vehicles. Chrysler does not have the mirror available, nor after market parts, without changing out the whole assembly at a cost of $1,100 - which is ridiculous.

Truck is leaking inside the interior, in the exit handle. Water was in the headliner, blinker switch, floorboard and inside the exit handle. Took to dealer. They were unable to resolve. This happened in my driveway while the truck was parked.

My Ram truck shifted from drive to park while traveling at 40 mph. When the truck shifted to park it slid to a stop after it veered right and went up on the side walk missing a pedestrian and phone poll. Chrysler, mile one, and hall Chrysler Jeep in Virginia beach are doing nothing to help me out of this truck. The truck is only 19 days old with 1000 miles on it at the time of incident. The truck was most certainly moving and I was lucky I had just left the interstate. I've asked to have the truck bought back so I can buy a different truck from another manufacturer. The truck had a damaged computer and melted transmission sensor switch once inspected by Dodge.
