20V-475 or W58 recall to replace reluctor wheel has been public since August. To date, fca has provided no info about timing of a possible solution. A failure of the crankshaft reluctor wheel due to delamination results in instant engine failure. I have had to park this truck for fear of engine failure. Now my 5 year powertrain warranty has expired as the truck sits for month after month. If a replacement is eventually installed, I should get a warranty extension to make up for my loss of 4 months of warranty and 4 months of use.

I have been waiting since 12/19 to get my vehicle fixed in accordance to recall VA7 and VB1/NHTSA 19V-757. I am currently on 3 waiting lists from 3 different dealerships to get this safety recall fixed. I've been told by these dealerships that the parts aren't available. However, I contacted fca recall assistance and was told the parts are available. When I recontacted the dealerships with this information, I was told again they don't have the parts. It's been a year waiting for this recall to be fixed.

Cel light came on indicating the egr cooler has basically failed, sending hot coolant in to the engine. Egr cooler and intake are to be replaced un recall VB1. Two dealerships and fca are slow walking getting parts to consumers for vehicles that pose a sever fire hazard with restricting the main part to only one per week per dealership. At that rate it will take fca 107,979 weeks to repair all trucks, or 173 years, all the while consumers are left having to drive vehicles posing a severe fire hazard.

I was driving at highway speed and lost all power, noticed some steam/smoke coming from under the hood, opened the hood and saw flames. I did not have an extinguisher so I called 911. Vehicle is a total loss. It was part of the egr cooler recall for the Ram ecodiesel, part was on order but had not been replaced yet. I had been adding coolant to the truck every few weeks, told the dealership this but their response was to not let the coolant level get too low. * (recall related incident)

Exhaust manifold bolts have broken on passenger side. This is a common known issue and Ram will not fix the design flaw. They will fix if its still covered under power train warranty. Signal of issue is the ticking at cold startup you can hear by fenderwellls. Will go away once engine is warm.

Check engine light was on reading cylinder 8 misfire. Upon investigation from dealer and local repair shop, the issue is a failed camshaft and lifters. All maintenance was done on the truck by the dealership I purchased the truck. Truck only has 157K miles and had zero issues previous to my last oil change around June. Truck was running fine and then check engine light came on and then started running horrible. Truck was taking to dealer right away for inspection. Total repair for this is $5,500

Having an issue getting a recall completed, I have taken my vehicle on multiple occasions to different dealerships over the past year to get fca recall VB1/NHTSA 19V-757 completed only to be told parts are not available. I have also tried to get fca recall VA7 completed as well only to be told they will do it when VB1 is completed. This is unacceptable.

The exhuast manifold bolts on the rh side of the engine broke causing an exhaust leak that can get into the cab while driving. When I took it to the dealer to get it fixed the service writer told me it is a very common problem on these trucks with the 5.7 hemi engine. He told me that Chrysler Fiat is aware of this problem due to faulty bolts. Now a year later my left hand exhaust manifold bolts have broken and I have another exhaust leak coming into my cab. This is very dangerous because of carbon monoxide poisining. This is on every Ram forum as well as I have discovered. How can a manufacture get away with know they have a defctive product that can kill someone. I dont get it.

I took my 2016 Ram to the dealership with a ticking noise. They told me it was the manifold bolts and that Ram were notorious for having this issue. I have 64,500 miles on the truck and they told me it was out of warranty. I then email Dodge cares and was asked why we took it somewhere else other than an authorized location when it still had an active warranty? we explained that we were told it did not have an active warranty. They said they would look into it. I get an email today stating that it is not covered. I drive this 3 times a week to deliver meals on wheels. It was very dangerous from my understanding and this is a known problem on Ram. They should investigate why this is happening with Ram models 2009- current models.

The exhaust gas recirculation (egr) cooler may crack and allow pre-heated vaporized coolant to enter the egr system. This mixture may combust inside the intake manifold. There is.a safety recall, but they refuse to fix it.. I have tried since November of 2019 to get this issue fixed with no success. I M told Chrysler will not fix this even though there is. Risk of fire.
