Air ride suspension quit functioning all together dealers backed with same issue on large # of vehicles. Was informed parts to fix are backordered and can't be told if it's safe to drive in this condition or not. Was told we are very aware of problem. But not a reasonable time or fix that will prevent issue from reaccuring. Noticed problem when driving on a highways 70mph.

Brand new 2016 Ram 1500 express 4X4, regular cab, short bed. I did the 300 mile break as specified by Ram. First time I get it to about 65+, particularly between 68 and 73 mph it shakes and shimmy's bad. Vibration is in the seats, floor, and console but is not transmitted to the steering wheel. I brought to back to the dealer with 380 miles on it, they road forced balanced the wheels, said they were off. Also stated that, in writing that it still shimmies's slightly. That is an understatement. Bringing it back for second visit.

My truck has a noticable vibration at highway speeds of 60 mph and above. After 3-4 trips to different dealerships, the problem still exists. After a quick search online, I realized that thousands of complaints have been posted on blogs related to this same problem with no solution from Chrysler/Ram. I have had the tires balanced/rotated/road forced balance, etc. Front drive shafts replaced (it's a 4X4 model) and still the same result... vibration at highway speeds. I'm not sure how many complaints are being filed with the NHTSA, but after reading numerous blogs, I would expect that fca would address this issue with a recall.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer on four separate occasions to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the tires needed to be balanced and the brake rotors showed excessive wear. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified. The approximate failure mileage was 250.
