Twice now the truck has acted like the gas pedal was stuck down even though it was fully released. The first time I was parking in my carport, I had just put the truck into park, and the rear tires started spinning and spitting rocks. I had to shut the truck off to get it to stop. If I hadn't had the brakes on to stop initially I would have went through the wall in my carport. Took the truck to the dealership, they said there was a recall on the floor mats, they replaced those, and sent me on my way saying that was the problem. The second incident was a week later while approaching red light at a downhill intersection I applied the brakes, but the truck continued to accelerate aggressively. The rear of the vehicle started to slide back and forth from the force of the tires spinning. I was going to hit the vehicle in front of me, so I had to forcefully put the truck from drive straight into park and turn the engine off. I had to flatbed the truck back to the dealership due to safety concerns, they kept if for seven days, and when I went back they said they couldn't find anything wrong with it. They said perhaps it's driver error and wouldn't say much else, and they won't do anything about it because they couldn't get the truck to replicate what happened to me. The paperwork they gave me shows that only drove the vehicle one mile at best.

I was driving in my neighborhood and slowed down to take a curve. Going no more than 20mph the truck stalls and starts beeping. The 'drive' light indicator started flashing and the dash had a message to shift into 'P'. It then shifted itself into neutral. I had to stop immediately and put it in park and turned it off. When I turned it back on it was fine. Dealership could not duplicate.

I was driving on I-75 at approximately 73 mph when my instrument panel lights blinked and then turned off. My vehicle lost all power, I turned the steering wheel about 5-10 degrees to the right and my steering wheel locked. I could not press the brake pedal because it was stuck. I was able to get on the side of the highway where vehicle stopped. Hazard lights did not work, I could not unlock doors, start, or stop the car. When the tow truck came, they checked the battery and it had good voltage. The truck was towed to Feldman Ram dealership since 16 June 2022. I am being told that Mechanics are having difficulty figuring out the problem to this day.

I stopped at the 4 way stop at Hill street and Apopka. I made a right hand turn down Hill St. I went to push on the brake and the complete brake pedal and arm fell off and landed on the floor of my truck. At this point there was no brake to push, I put the truck in neutral and moved right and used the emergency brake to stop the vehicle. I got the truck to Plaza Dodge and they replaced the entire braking system. Evidently after some research on my part there had been a recall for the same issue on 2019 Rams. But only for the classic model. Well it seems they need to have one for the new body style as well. I have all the parts if needed to be inspected. There was absolutely no warning, and if I had been anywhere else and traveling at a higher speed, I strongly believe someone may have been killed.

Based on the inspections and investigation arranged by the insurance group (attended by the vehicle and braking system manufacturers), a -??seized caliper-?? was the cause of a 2019 incident that nearly killed a family traveling from Illinois to Florida. A 2019 DODGE RAM was rented from Enterprise Rent-a-car (Illinois), for the purpose of transporting a family (and their personal belongings) to their new home in Florida. 8 hours into the trip, the truck was traveling 65-70 mph on I-65 South when smoke began emanating from the rear, drivers side tire area. The driver pulled to the side of the road to inspect the issue, and immediately spotted flames near the drivers side, rear tire. The flames were directly beneath the fuel tank, leading the family to abandon the vehicle. 911 was called and the county fire department arrived approximately 20 minutes later. The vehicle was fully engulfed in flames, and was a total loss. Fortunately, no one was (physically) hurt. Kentucky State Police also attended the incident, transporting the family to a local DQ for them to wait for their replacement rental vehicle to be delivered. This incident occurred on May 31, 2019. Disappointing is the best way to describe how Dodge and Bosch have handled this incident. Ilco, the insurance group acting on behalf of Enterprise Rent-a-car, completed a thorough inspection process, which suggested that a seized caliper was the cause of the incident. The family involved were verbally notified on the findings. End of story

This truck makes a grinding or rubbing sensation when turning and when turning and breaking. The sensation comes from the steering column and vibrates through the steering wheel. It is audible as well. Obviously, this is a concern not only for me any my occupants, but for others on the road way as well as I do not know what is causing this rubbing or grinding. This vehicle has been checked out by my dealer and they do not know what is wrong with it, although they were able to experience the problem for themselves. They also informed me that this is a known issue and that Chrysler is aware of the problem as there are many other trucks like mine with this defect. This issue started very sporadically and has continually gotten worse.

Brakes failed to stop truck from bumper to bumper accident, I would've stopped in time but the brakes felt like it was sliding, it wasn't not stopping the truck. I had to quickly release the brake and try again but still manage to hit the truck in front of me. I noticed when I'm drive all day (especially in the heat) by the end of the day when I am using the brake, it takes longer to brake than it did earlier in the day. I assuming the brakes are overheating. Of course I am at fault for the bumper to bumper accident, claim number 31-22T8-87X with State Farm.

While driving, usually slowing from highway speed, all safety lights turn on on the dash board (cross traffic, anti collision, rear parking, ignition, stabilitrak, check engine). Also vehicle loses power and you can not accelerate.Engine runs on (assuming) 4 cylinders as it starts shaking like it-??s misfiring. After you pull over and restart the engine all lights clear except check engine.Vehicle than runs normal.Check engine has cleared twice on me.Once after about 30 and second time after about 50 miles. In both instances I was away from home and had to drive back. The other few times was only a few miles away from dealer.Vehicle is currently at the dealer (7th time) with 35775 miles.Multiple tickets have been opened with FCA.In my own research I have found online forums with identical issues. The dealer is at the liss.Their techs can-??t figure it out. They have replaced multiple parts but the issue remains. NOTE:Your system allows me to select three issues at the start of this form but I have three more under ADAS category that I was unable to select.

Location: State hwy 55, buffalo, mn, intersection with central avenue description of the issue: While stopping at the red light and applying the brake, the truck experienced a sudden acceleration burst. Even though the brake was fully applied, the engine was accelerating on its own and pushing the truck. At low speed (<5mph) and with the brake fully applied, the truck hit a stopped minivan in front of me and continue pushing it towards the intersection in bursts as I was depressing the brake pedal. After a few (three or so) brake push and release attempts, acceleration stopped and the truck (and the minivan) came to a full stop. The truck pushed the minivan for several feet. There is significant damage to a truck since the minivan had a bicycle rack installed. Except for the damaged bicycle rack, there is no observable damage on the minivan. After the truck came to a full stop, the traction control light was on and blinking for a short period of time, then it on. The front park assist light was also on. I was able to drive the truck to closes the safe parking location. I could not recreate braking related acceleration. Potential cause: A web search showed several reports of sudden acceleration bursts while applying the brake were reported on Dodge / Ram vehicles, including Ram 1500. The description of the problems was almost identical to this case. Safety concern: If I did not depress the brake several times which in my opinion stopped acceleration, the truck may have pushed the minivan into a busy intersection and cause a potentially serious accident.

For the second time in 3 months, while I was driving down the highway all my dash lights just came on and my truck started to accelerate on its own even with both feet off both pedals. Traction light, ABS light, parking light, throttle sensor light, and check engine light all stay on. (have picture and video) passenger side headlight also stopped working. Took to Ram dealership October I believe and they said PCM needed an update and they did that. Also replaced whole passenger headlight housing. Well yesterday December 15th same thing happened and I almost got into a wreck. Lights came on so I went to brake and pull over, nothing happened. Truck actually accelerated on its own from 40mph to 60mph. Took to dealership first thing this morning and they said they have no record of fixing any of these issues... wanted me to leave my truck for an unknown amount of time and but they couldn't get me a loaner or anything to get me to work. Said there was nothing they can do until I have time to leave it, pretty [xxx] so now im driving an unsafe truck on the highway to and from work. Kids and wife also drive/ride in this truck. I have a 2019 Ram 1500 I bought last year that now has 20,000 miles. Within 5,000 miles, I noticed brake noise issues and took the vehicle to the local dealership in Colorado springs, co (I bought the truck in leesburg, va). They told me everything from bad brake pads to rotors to mounts - after I refused to accept their claim of not being able to find anything. After taking it in approximately 6 or 7 times, they finally changed mounting assemblies, and the noise went away. However, I started getting a vibration between 45 and 60 miles an hour. I took it in again, and they said my tires needed to be rebalanced, rotated, and they suspected they had unusual wear somewhere. Of course, the person telling me this proceeded to show me my tires and noticed they were almost like new. He said they fixed it to the point it would only vibrate between 75 and 80 miles. Since then, the vibration still presents itself between 45 miles and up & now my brakes are squealing again.

To whom it may concern, in May 2020, I rented a 2019 Dodge Ram to facilitate a move from Illinois to Florida. 8 hours into the journey, the vehicle erupted into flames, nearly killing my son, fianc, myself and our puppy. Fortunately, someone driving behind us flagged us down when they noticed black smoke coming from the vehicle. We were able to safely escape, called 911, then had to watch as all of our personal effects and some valuables were destroyed by fire. That was on May 31, 2020, inspections were performed on the vehicle, with Ram being one of the parties involved in the inspection process. Unfortunately, the inspectors were unable to definitively say what happened, although they theorized that the rear, drivers side caliper may have seized up, resulting in the fire. Either way, nothing we could have done differently. While I am relieved that we were able to escape harm, it's upsetting that all of our keepsakes, personal effects and some valuables were destroyed. To add to the heartbreak, we have yet to hear from anyone acting on behalf of Ram. Considering the near miss we suffered, I would think that Ram would show some compassion and reach out to us. Very disappointing, I will never purchase a Dodge affiliated vehicle (again) in my life.

Truck was in motion on a city street at 40mph. Approached a stop light and the warning lights on the dashboard started going off (all of them). The windshield wipers went on and off by themselves, blinks didn't work, hazards didn't work, the RPM and mph gauges kept going up and down. The brakes didn't work so I had to use the emergency brake to stop. Pulled into a parking lot, shut the vehicle off, waited 5 minutes and started it up again. Same thing happened. Shut the vehicle off and waited 10 minutes, started it back up and this time only the check engine light came on. I made it home 2 miles down the road. The first business day available, the dealer came and picked up the truck. It has been with the dealership for the week. The called the other day and said something is wrong, they are unable to start the vehicle up now. They are waiting for an engineer to review it from the manufacturer.

I would have selected other issues above but it only allows three. Driving with family on vacation when all electrical on dash starting going crazy. Every light on dash was flashing, gauges were bouncing all over, hazards wouldn't turn on, loss of power steering, loss of brakes, wipers sped up, transmission trying to shift gears, airbag lights were on, transmission slammed in to park once vehicle was under 5 mph, and shut itself off. Had to have vehicle towed to york Chrysler in crawfordsville, in. This was on Thursday July 30. I had taken vehicle to bosak motors in merrillville, in on Friday July 24 due to same issue and was told they couldn't find the issue. I managed to videotape the issue while it was happening. I also looked online and found a couple videos of other Ram 1500 doing the same thing.
