Started with telling me my tire was flat. I pulled over on the side of the highway which is dangerous and the tire was full of air. Then told me elcectroic brakes needed to be serviced. Not too long after that it kept telling me the four wheel drive is not working. I have never put the truck in four wheel drive. Also the ABS service light was flashing. Took it back to dealership 4 days after I bought it and they took it into their shop and 'fixed' it in a few minutes. Very next day everything started again. Took it back to dealership and they have kept it over the weekend. When I called them at lunch on Friday telling them I was bringing it back they asked me to wait til next week to bring it. This is their second chance to get it right. It has been a nightmare. I bought a truck because I have a small farm and I need it to feed and water my animals. They have had to go without water one day because I haven't had my truck 3 out of the first eight days after buying it. Also they didn't want to give me a receipt from when I brought it the first time until I had told them I had already called the ag office.

I was driving on I94 eastbound highway, I pressed the brake pedal to slow down for traffic then accelerated and the truck accelerated at full downpower. I lifted my foot off the accelerator, but the pedal stayed on the floor and the truck kept accelerating. I got up to 105mph in no time at all, then pressing on the brakes as hard as I possibly could so I didn't hit the vehicles in front of me. This slowed me down to about 60mph slowing the truck down enough to move from the far left lane to the far right shoulder, with the truck still at 5K plus rpms, I then was able to put the truck in neutral using the shifter knob. The vehicle then displayed the electronic throttle control warning light on the dashboard. During this whole time the accelerator was on the floor and the truck was trying to out power the brakes. I then powered off the vehicle entirely. I was then attempting to restart the vehicle to get myself off the unsafe shoulder of the highway and the throttle was still stuck to the floor and was ticking with error codes reading on the dashboard. I then turned the key back to the off position and had to wait over a minute in order for the truck to start so I could get off of the unsafe shoulder. This is a huge concern and I have stock floor mats in my vehicle. Component that failed was the electronic throttle control system. Took to Chrysler dealer stated nothing wrong with vehicle. I have video proof!

The contact owns a 2019 Ram 1500. The contact stated that the brakes made a squeaking noise when the brake pedal was depressed. The issue occurred primarily when the vehicle was in reverse and whenever it rained, snowed, or any condition that caused the ground to be wet. The contact had to apply excessive pressure to the brake pedal to stop the vehicle. The contact called antioch Chrysler Dodge Jeep (located at 105 rt 173, antioch, il 60002, 847-787-7016), but they were unable to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 3,000.

Vehicle has adjustable height gas pedal and factory floor mats properly installed. After near-miss accident I found the gas pedal stuck down on a vertical rib of the floor mat. Pictures attached. When pedal height is adjusted full up or full down it can not reach floor mat. When adjusted mid range though, the pedal can reach the floor mat and stick to the top of the far right hand rib. I was pulling away from a 4-way stop going straight when the 395hp vehicle maintained violent acceleration. Pressing the brake I believe stopped the violent acceleration or decreased it significantly. I needed to touch the pedal again to get to a safe place and again just touching it caused violent acceleration. Regained control of the vehicle and pulled over and found the pedal stuck to the top of the rib. Was a few blocks from where I purchased the vehicle a few days before. Their resolution was to confiscate my floor mat and for me to go to a parts store to buy a new one for my $45,000 vehicle. See also ODI 11288197. Consumer stated have a lot of controls background and immediately assumed the braking cut back on the power and was very sure when it took off again. Consumer acrossed the intersection and had enough speed to make it to a safe place to pull over. Pulling up the pedal was not a viable option. Consumer forgot to determine if the engine button shuts off the engine immediately at speed.

Our vehicle has an intermittent problem with the breaks that showed up within a week after purchase. In the first month of ownership our breaks lock up when backing up for no apparent reason. To correct the problem the truck has to be put back into park and then into reverse again. The safety issue is it has happened when backing out of a parking spot and nearly getting hit because the breaks locked up. It has happened in our driveway as well with no other cars or other obstacles near. In the first month it has happened no less than 6 or 7 times.

Several times the vehicle brakes hard (as in locks up the brakes) when backing up and auto braking is enabled, but nothing is there. Same thing when driving forward, forward collision warning auto brakes when nothing at all is there, almost resulting in being rear ended at least twice before I turned it off.. at least I am able to turn it off. I kept the warning on, and it goes off all the time when I cross speed bumps or shadows from overpasses. This is extremely dangerous and continues after tsbs that are supposed to address. Another known issue that Ram isnt addressing publicly is brake squealing - there is an internal memo about it, but dealerships are not addressing it - it happens when you break lightly to slow down between 70-40 mph, but they can never seem to reproduce it at the dealer. I opened a case with Ram and they have done anything other than what the dealer did...I am most worried about the safety features causing an accident, please help! latest date the front collision warning activated when nothing was there was today. It happens all the time.

The contact owns a 2019 Ram 1500. While driving at night, the entire instrument panel illuminated and the power steering failed. The contact was able to pull over as the brakes were malfunctioning. The contact kept trying to turn off the vehicle and the instrument panel indicators kept flashing. After fifteen minutes, the vehicle finally started up and functioned normally while the indicators were still flashing. The manufacturer was contacted and advised the contact to call NHTSA. The dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 8,000.

I own a 2019 Ram 1500 and the instrument cluster has stopped illuminating. I conducted internet research and learned there is a pending recall for 1... yes 1 Ram truck in the us with this issue. Eureka, I think I've located it! I called the recall phone number for fca and explained the situation. The call taker was unable to comprehend the issue and repeatedly told me I could not speak with a manager. The call taker hung up on me. I called back and spoke to a different representative and she would not allow me to speak to a manager either. This issue is associated with NHTSA campaign number 19V556000. I need this recall to be issued quickly so it can be fixed. According to various sites, the owner (I assume me) will be notified in early September. Maybe we can just take care of this now. I am concerned with the instrument cluster issue since it is the display center for my odometer, and all other warning systems on the vehicle. I have previously taken my vehicle to the dealership for periodic illuminated check engine lights. The first time I was told that the truck had no record of the check engine light ever being illuminated. I took it back after more illuminations kept continuing. The dealership kept the truck for a week and were finally able to troubleshoot the issue. I have also had issues with my rather large radio screen failing to turn on and / or work. Additionally, the brakes squeal like crazy. The dealership was unable to fix this issue and said it was just brake dust. The vehicle had only 2,000 or so miles on it at the time. I believe my truck only has about 3,200 miles on it right now, but I cannot really tell because I cant' see the odometer. I have read various complaints on this site regarding this model and many of them apply to me as well.

When backing out of the driveway without any obstructions the brake assistance will engage. This has caused injury with heads hitting the ceiling and whiplash. Fca/Ram says this is functioning as designed but as designed this should have prevented an accident but did not. This is a concern as it can cause injury to many by engaging when there is no obstruction or anything to cause it to engage. The dealership has informed me that fca is aware of the issue but no resolution for this. I am tired of not being able to use a safety feature due to it causing injury and not avoiding an accident. My vehicle has been at the dealer several times for this and one time they made it worse. The last time they sent me home with a similar truck and that one did not do it each time like mine. So there is a variance in the code from one truck to another that is not consistent and causes more harm than it would prevent. I look forward to a resolution by fca as there are many complaint videos online about how this engages for grass or other things that are not an immediate danger. It also has done this when it was raining on a flat surface. This feature needs more testing and an update soon to be called a safety feature of the 2019 Ram brand. A link to the videos can be shared and was emailed to the NHTSA.webmaster@dot.gov address. They are to large to load on this site due to the time length to capture all details of the incidents. The videos are both of the newer Ram and mine. The difference is mine has the smaller screen in the video. It is an ongoing issue with a start date about 2 months after I purchased the vehicle and after the dealer "flashed" the programming due to a recall.

The contact owns a 2019 Ram 1500. The contact took the vehicle to pogue Chrysler (2252 West everly brothers boulevard, powderly, ky 42367, (270)-641-0400) to have the front brake pads replaced. The contact stated that the rear brakes failed when reversing the vehicle and caused the vehicle to jerk violently. The dealer inspected the vehicle and was unable to locate a failure code. The dealer test drove the vehicle with the contact and was able to recreate the rear brake jerking failure; however, the dealer stated that the jerking was normal. The manufacturer was not contacted. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 2,000.

2019 Ram 1500 censer issue, breaks will engage while in drive indicating parking censer front or back that object is to close with nothing there. This has happened multiple times when stopped at a stop light all traffic starts to move truck brake will engage not allowing truck to move forward. We have to disengage the censer to be able to move. Close to accident with other truck coming to intersection and light being green. I could not move because break would not disengage. We have to turn off both parking assistant censers to be able to move. After third incident we have left the parking censers off. Called dealership was told to clean censer that possible larger debris may be cause, also washed truck but issue continued. Taking for service next week with dealership.

Engine was started on the vehicle. Vehicle was put into gear with the brake pressed firmly down. The vehicle started moving even while brake was pressed very firmly in. Brake pedal was engaged as far as it could be, but the truck continued to pick up speed until it collided into another parked vehicle. The brakes were not working at all. It caused a crash which caused damage to both vehicles, mine being a bent up bumper on a 2 week old truck.
