The information system in the instrument panel does not work or works intermittently. I took it to the dealer and they said it would be a $1400 repair but the system started working again when the mechanic brought the truck around for me to leave. It has worked off and on since then. It's a very expensive repair and no guarantee it will not fail again. There seems to be no pattern of when the information system will quit.

After remote starting the car for a few minutes, I got in the truck and hit the start/stop button and reversed out of my driveway. As I backed out on to the street, the engine shut off and the car shifted itself back to park. I started it again and after a couple of seconds, the car turned itself off again. This happened about 10 times. Finally it stayed on and I drove 6 miles to work. When I got to work, I hit the start/stop button to turn it off and it would not turn off. After a couple of minutes, the car turned off by itself. I started it again and it turned off after a couple seconds. After a couple more times it finally it stayed on for longer than a few seconds but would not turn off with the start stop button. I had it towed to the dealership.

I was driving on I94 eastbound highway, I pressed the brake pedal to slow down for traffic then accelerated and the truck accelerated at full downpower. I lifted my foot off the accelerator, but the pedal stayed on the floor and the truck kept accelerating. I got up to 105mph in no time at all, then pressing on the brakes as hard as I possibly could so I didn't hit the vehicles in front of me. This slowed me down to about 60mph slowing the truck down enough to move from the far left lane to the far right shoulder, with the truck still at 5K plus rpms, I then was able to put the truck in neutral using the shifter knob. The vehicle then displayed the electronic throttle control warning light on the dashboard. During this whole time the accelerator was on the floor and the truck was trying to out power the brakes. I then powered off the vehicle entirely. I was then attempting to restart the vehicle to get myself off the unsafe shoulder of the highway and the throttle was still stuck to the floor and was ticking with error codes reading on the dashboard. I then turned the key back to the off position and had to wait over a minute in order for the truck to start so I could get off of the unsafe shoulder. This is a huge concern and I have stock floor mats in my vehicle. Component that failed was the electronic throttle control system. Took to Chrysler dealer stated nothing wrong with vehicle. I have video proof!

In October 2019, the uconnect system in my 2019 Ram 1500 began to malfunction. It started with gps coordinates being misaligned to my current location, but quickly progressed to malfunctioning in all aspects of the system. On December 30, 2019, the entire system failed, rendering a black screen and no ability to control the critical functions in the vehicle (maintenance, lighting, climate, or safety cameras). Without the uconnect system, it is impossible to modify any of the setting for the vehicle.

2019 Ram with 12" screen developed electrical issues with 5100 miles. The screen and other electrical items will work fine in the accessory mode but as soon as you start the vehicle the screen goes black and a lot of electrical issues begin. The defroster goes on high, the seat does not automatically go forward, the front windows do not work and the blind spot sensor will not work. With screen out you have no backup camera and losing the blind spot also causes serious risk of an accident. First dealer the truck was taken to could not solve the problem. I have an appointment with another dealer and hope that they can resolve these issues. I noticed online they have a problem with the unconnect and sirius radio but I don't know if this is associated with my problem.

My left rear led turn signal. Warning light on my dash came on. I investigated the problem and thought I would try to repair the tail light. I couldn't fix it due to too much electronics involved so I re assembled the tail light and made an appointment to see my dealer. I took the truck in and was told the warranty was voided because I took it apart to see if I could repair the light. They would not replace it. The reason I am writing is that the taillight failed. Why" it was never investigated, only told me I was not allowed to be repaired under warranty. I would have to pay. However if the light failed on my truck, why? did it fail because of other things wrong., is it a safety issue I say yes. Please let me know what you think or advise. The tail light is brand new and I think an investigation into tail light failure as to why mine failed" thank you [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

This incident has become more prevalent. It began about two months ago as what I thought was something stuck in the grooves of the tires. But as it began to occur more and more regularly I felt it was time to try and get some help with the problem. While in motion, when I remove my foot from the gas pedal and it is not pressed and truck begins decelerating, at approximately 45 to 50 miles per hour a drone/hum will begin within the cab of the truck. If I do not press the gas pedal or roll down windows the drone/hum will get louder and more pronounced. If it is not eliminated, the drone/hum will increase in decibels and actually become physically felt within the truck. Since the sound almost seems to resonate from the speakers, I have tried unplugging the anc (active noise cancellation) device under the driver's seat. While this does stop the radio speakers from playing any music, it does also seem to prevent the drone/hum from occurring. The truck was purchased in early June of 2019 and currently has about 12,500 miles on it. There has been no customization or alteration of anything on the vehicle.

The rear center brake light apparently leaks into the cabin. This is a common 1500 2019 problem. It leaks into the ceiling surrounding air bags and other electronics. How is this not already recalled" it leaks constantly so how can one tell when it occurs"

I am able to adjust some of the heat and fan settings with the screen black. Any other controls of vehicle functions or selections are 'inop.' Crossing a busy intersection, my truck stalled in the middle of the intersection for no apparent reason. Was eventually able to restart it, but stalled again after approximately two minutes. Has been at cole Chrysler since 9/5/2019. Dealer says it may be the battery associated with the hybrid system. That part has not been available for two months, and there is no estimated time it will be available. After it is replaced, there may still be another problem.

We purchased the vehicle on June 12th, 2019. After many electrical issues we took it to autonation for repairs. On August 27th we picked up the vehicle and they said the keyfabs on our brand new truck were aftermarket and caused over 120 codes. Drove the vehicle on I45 (freeway) southbound from houston tx and the vehicle turned off while in motion. This could have been a very bad accident. Driving at 60mph and engine dying. Had to have vehicle towed to tomball Dodge where we purchased vehicle. The vehicle again had over 120 codes on it. Vehicle is still there weeks later.

The contact owns a 2019 Ram 1500. While driving at night, the entire instrument panel illuminated and the power steering failed. The contact was able to pull over as the brakes were malfunctioning. The contact kept trying to turn off the vehicle and the instrument panel indicators kept flashing. After fifteen minutes, the vehicle finally started up and functioned normally while the indicators were still flashing. The manufacturer was contacted and advised the contact to call NHTSA. The dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 8,000.

I own a 2019 Ram 1500 and the instrument cluster has stopped illuminating. I conducted internet research and learned there is a pending recall for 1... yes 1 Ram truck in the us with this issue. Eureka, I think I've located it! I called the recall phone number for fca and explained the situation. The call taker was unable to comprehend the issue and repeatedly told me I could not speak with a manager. The call taker hung up on me. I called back and spoke to a different representative and she would not allow me to speak to a manager either. This issue is associated with NHTSA campaign number 19V556000. I need this recall to be issued quickly so it can be fixed. According to various sites, the owner (I assume me) will be notified in early September. Maybe we can just take care of this now. I am concerned with the instrument cluster issue since it is the display center for my odometer, and all other warning systems on the vehicle. I have previously taken my vehicle to the dealership for periodic illuminated check engine lights. The first time I was told that the truck had no record of the check engine light ever being illuminated. I took it back after more illuminations kept continuing. The dealership kept the truck for a week and were finally able to troubleshoot the issue. I have also had issues with my rather large radio screen failing to turn on and / or work. Additionally, the brakes squeal like crazy. The dealership was unable to fix this issue and said it was just brake dust. The vehicle had only 2,000 or so miles on it at the time. I believe my truck only has about 3,200 miles on it right now, but I cannot really tell because I cant' see the odometer. I have read various complaints on this site regarding this model and many of them apply to me as well.

When backing out of the driveway without any obstructions the brake assistance will engage. This has caused injury with heads hitting the ceiling and whiplash. Fca/Ram says this is functioning as designed but as designed this should have prevented an accident but did not. This is a concern as it can cause injury to many by engaging when there is no obstruction or anything to cause it to engage. The dealership has informed me that fca is aware of the issue but no resolution for this. I am tired of not being able to use a safety feature due to it causing injury and not avoiding an accident. My vehicle has been at the dealer several times for this and one time they made it worse. The last time they sent me home with a similar truck and that one did not do it each time like mine. So there is a variance in the code from one truck to another that is not consistent and causes more harm than it would prevent. I look forward to a resolution by fca as there are many complaint videos online about how this engages for grass or other things that are not an immediate danger. It also has done this when it was raining on a flat surface. This feature needs more testing and an update soon to be called a safety feature of the 2019 Ram brand. A link to the videos can be shared and was emailed to the NHTSA.webmaster@dot.gov address. They are to large to load on this site due to the time length to capture all details of the incidents. The videos are both of the newer Ram and mine. The difference is mine has the smaller screen in the video. It is an ongoing issue with a start date about 2 months after I purchased the vehicle and after the dealer "flashed" the programming due to a recall.

The contact owns a 2019 Ram 1500. After the vehicle had been parked for a while, it was unable to restart. The contact stated that after several attempts the vehicle was started, but it independently switched back from drive into park. The vehicle was towed to lithia Chrysler Jeep Dodge of twin falls (1310 pole line rd E, twin falls, id 83301, (208) 293-8571) to be diagnosed, but the mechanic was unable to retrieve a fault code or provide a prognosis for the vehicle. The manufacturer was contacted and informed of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 110. The VIN was invalid.
