The etorque alternator bearing failure locked it up causing the vehicle to die in traffic while attempting to make a left turn. This alternator had been replaced 13 months earlier due to a bearing failure. I have now been waiting 2.5 months for replacement and was told today by Ram dealer that orders are blocked until the end of feb. The last time it failed I found the only one in the state to make the repair but not as lucky this time. 5000 on backorder nationwide with no delivery date. Truck is now useless

December 26, 2025, while driving, the vehicle shut down, and it went into park. After researching the cause of the issue, the RF module had water in it. Additional research indicates the third brake light leaks into the cabin causing water to enter the module causing corrosion and a short. Vehicle was towed to the dealer for repair. Dealer indicated the RF module did fail. They also stated it may be caused by a leaking rear window. The service writer stated they would cover the brake light issue but not the rear window if it caused the problem. Water into the cabin by either area is obviously an electrical problem but also a fire hazard. Any water into a wire harness or component has the potential to short and cause a fire. Before the shutdown, the right front and left rear tire pressure sensors were coming on and off at times. The remote start became non-functional at times.

Have had several issues with this truck and there seems to be a lot of similar issues: 1. Hemi tick - Had to have the exhaust manifolds replaced because they were cracked for no apparent reason... happened right after warranty was up 2. Alternator (etorque) started whining and had to get it replaced after 100k miles gently driven. Could have left me stranded. 3. Visor falling out (Very Dangerous) No t only in my truck, but when I had 2 rentals from dealership, same truck different years (2021 & 2023) they had the same issue. All of these seem to be a widespread issue!

While driving a 2019 Ram I heard a winding noise then a rattling noise. I went immediately to the mechanic. He said it was my E-torque generator. He said I was lucky to get there because I could have had a complete loss of power or could have damaged other parts of the vehicle. A loss of power could be very dangerous on the highway possibly causing an accident or leaving me on the side of the highway exposing me to traffic driving by at 70mph+. The mechanic cannot get the replacement from RAM. Ram is not making them right now. There are over 5000 on back order. That means there are over 5000 people making payments on a work truck they can't use. Some people have been waiting for nearly a year.

Diagnosed brakes at repair shop and advised ABS Module failing. Saw online recalls for certain vehicles yet our 2019 has the issue and nothing was noted for recall. I have 4 daughters and our safety and the safety of others is at risk with a faulty system, The lights on the dash appeared a few days ago and went away and now have come back and have stayed on.

Intermittent short discovered in the electric power steering (EPS) system. I took the vehicle to the dealership to perform diagnostic testing and the dealership confirmed the issue is a short-circuit within the EPS system. This issue has already been covered in a separate NHTSA recall (19E-077) however my VIN was not included. Amplifying information for this being a prevalent issue includes backorders from the OEM for replacement EPS systems, as well as multiple other sources online claiming to have similar issues.

Problem Description: Beginning in early 2025, the vehicle started experiencing intermittent electrical malfunctions that cause it to lose power unexpectedly while driving. The issue occurs without warning, creating a significant safety hazard for both the driver and other motorists. The vehicle has been taken to an authorized Ram service center on four separate occasions (February 2025, July 2025, September 2025, and October 2025), but the problem has not been resolved. Each time, the service center has been unable to identify or repair the root cause. The vehicle is still under an active Mopar Vehicle Protection Plan (Account#[XXX]), and all service has been performed at Commonwealth Dodge in Louisville, Kentucky. Despite these multiple repair attempts, the truck continues to lose power intermittently, making it unreliable and unsafe to operate. The RFH module is defective for the year and has already been replaced by a new model. When the module goes bad it can leave you stranded because it runs the security section of the computer. The computer will not recognize the key fobs, and the car can shut off and not restart leaving you stranded. Mechanic also informed me that it could also cause issues during driving not just when you stopped. The main warning lamp is the check engine light will illuminate and will throw a code for ECU not initializing.

On [XXX}, the alternator went out on me 4 hours north of my home. I had it towed 30 miles to Canon Ram in Greenwood, MS. The check engine light came on about 20 miles before the issue escalated to the point where I had to pull over in a rest area and then completely died. The GPU alternator was not in stock and is reportedly on backorder; however, a recall was issued for the same item in previous model year Ram trucks. It's been 4 weeks with no date in sight for this being fixed. I bought a new battery from the Chrysler dealership in February of 2023 that started going bad in May of 2025. It is under warranty until February 2026. On May 28th 2025, I was attending a canine seminar out of town. At the end of the day, I went to start the truck & the battery was dead. I was able to get a jump start & immediately took it to a local retailer to have the starter, alternator & battery checked. The battery had Indications of going bad, the alternator & starter passed the tests. I purchased a mobile jump starter to make sure I wouldn't be left stranded somewhere. When I returned home, I scheduled an appointment at the dealership to have them replace it. The dealership kept it overnight & said their diagnostic machines did not give the code that allowed them to replace the battery under warranty. I was getting ready drive to Indiana from Florida & wanted to make sure it would be safe.I then drove to Texas after that, then back home, about 1200 miles each leg. When I went to leave to Maine a couple weeks later, the truck would not start. I was able to use a jump starter to get it going. When I got to Maine, I scheduled an appointment at the local dealership to have them check it. They ran the same tests & said they could not get the code to replace the battery under warranty. It became increasingly difficult to start the truck & even got to the point where I couldn't use a mobile jump starter to start it. When I returned from Maine, I made an appointment with a reliable mechanic who said the battery was swollen & leaking acid. He said it was ready to explode, potentially catching the engine compartment on fire. At that point I contacted the dealer again, and they said that yes, with acid leaking & the battery swollen, they could replace the battery under warranty. It should never have gotten to the point where the battery had to be leaking acid to get it changed out under warranty, the testing the dealerships do does not properly identify bad batteries. A cracked backlite frame resulting in an interior water leak (crack is visible from the outside). Water leaks from the top of the backlite. There is a recall under Warranty Bulletins: U.S. D-23-17 (TSB: 23-098-23) for the same make, year, and model as this vehicle, but it is not listed as a specific recall for this VIN. In addition to the risk of mold in the vehicle, electronics located below the leak, such as the RF Module beneath the rear seat, could also be damaged. This could lead to the inability to remotely start the vehicle, or even start it at all, due to the module being used to recognize the key fob before the vehicle starts. This could strand an individual and represent a safety concern in this aspect. The problem is well known on other vehicles; see the previous reference for Warranty Bulletins: U.S. D-23-17 (TSB: 23-098-23). However, it is not listed for this VIN. The dealer and auto body shops have inspected the problem, and they can confirm that this matches the problem listed in the TSB. No warnings or messages, as this is a common manufacturing defect for this vehicle's make, model, and year. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Issue started with a "service shifter" warning at just shy of 3,000 miles, in January of 2019, and upon speaking to the dealership, they advised to shut off the truck and restart which cleared the "service shifter" warning. They said it was a glitch and that should remedy the issue. This issue became more frequent later (after manufacturers warranty ran out) It started leaving me stranded, sometimes for hours around 45,000 miles. Later, I suffered a multisystem failure and warnings that the truck was not in park, the shifter would not turn, truck would not start, and multiple other warnings. We were able to replace the battery which we thought had fixed the issue, but two weeks later it has done it again, and this time the battery disconnection for a period of days has not fixed the issue. I still owe two years on this truck and it has been a lemon. I have taken it to two dealerships, neither can fix my issue. I have done countless hours of research to address the issue. I am paying payments and do not have anything to drive. I need help with this issue. I have maintained the vehicle and have only put close to 60,000 miles on the truck. There is no logical reason I should be dealing with this many major issues that even the dealership can not seem to remedy. With such low miles and at only 7 years old, these issues should not be considered "routine maintenance" at the point in the truck's life. I believe this issue needs to be investigated, as I know many RAM owners who are facing the same issues that I am having, with no answers as of yet. I have been watching for recalls or statements from RAM, but nothing yet. Thank you for your time and careful considerations. I look forward to seeing a solution to my issues. Until then, I'll be stranded in Virginia, paying for transportation that can't be fixed.

The eTorq generator stopped working and the engine shutdown on the highway. I had to get a tow to the shop as the vehicle is not usable and the engine will not start. Furthermore, this part is unavailable with no-ETA as it is on nationwide backorder. I have been waiting for over a month I was told over 13000 of these are on backorder for customers around the country. I have also read many posts of others waiting months for the part. There is obviously a systemic problem with the part and an issue with replacements. It does appear the original part was superseded by a different version. Please help!
