I am wanting to file a claim on a 2019 Ram 1500 for a defective rear window. This is a known issue that fca has refused to acknowledge or resolve. The rear window frame is weak and cracks around the rear sliding glass. With these cracks, there is potential for water to leak into the cab of the vehicle. There are also issues with cracks and leaking around other areas of the rear window frame. This may be due to a faulty seal when manufactured. My fear is that this will cause mold to develop behind as well as on my rear seats causing potential harm to not only my vehicle, but myself and family. I also do not want potential damage to important electrical components that are located behind and under the rear seat. My truck is out of warranty, and I understand that there isn't much fca will do, I just hope that pressure is put on them to improve and develop a better design to prevent this issue. I would also like to see fca extend an olive branch so to speak to the customers who have this issue by either replacing the part, or covering a portion of the repair cost for those that are in or out of warranty.

My rear window upper trim cracked and started leaking on my 2019 Ram 1500(new body style). I took to my local dealership and after it sat out in the weather for 3 weeks and had extensive water intrusion to the point of so much moisture in vehicle the windows would condensate on inside, I decided to take to the dealer I purchased at. Issue is still not resolved 1 month later. Nobody seems to care or listen to my concerns. Not to mention how much water damage do I have at this point??

Rear window has began to crack from the inside and a lot of water comes in to the rear. My seats get wet and also the carpet of the truck. Starting to smell and might have mold. The headliner also gets water. My concern is that it may build up mold throughout time. Fca is unwilling to replace the window outside of the bumper to bumper warranty even though this is a major issue for the 5th generation Ram and there are many others that have come across this issue. They have also knowledge of this and have sent out a letter to their service teams (see picture). The water can come in when left outside during a rain storm or simply going thru the car wash. Any water that hits the roof of the truck and goes to the back will eventually make it through the rear window crack and inside the truck.

I purchased a 2019 Ram 1500 in June of 2019. In October of 2020 I got into the truck as I have done for over a year and started it up. As I put it in drive and begin to take my foot off the brake, the truck would auto-shift into park and cut the engine off. This continued to happen over and over again as I kept trying to put the truck in drive and go into motion. It even did it while trying to put it in reverse. I lmade sure all doors were shut, seat belt on, no E-brake and nothing was lit up on dash. The truck simply would not engage into drive and it was not user error. I had Ram road side assistance tow the vehicle to a local certified dealer with Ram technicians. This was on 10/16/20 and the truck was in the care of the Ram dealer until 10/19/20. They informed me that they could not replicate issue I experienced. I then took back possession of the truck. On 11/12/2020 I drove about a mile from my residence put the truck in park while running into a store. I drove the truck about 900 feet and the truck auto shifted to park while I was at speeds of 30mph. The enigine cut off and the truck had to come to a complete stop before I was able to turn it back on as if I would if the truck was stopped. I pulled over and began driving again for several hundred feet. Again the truck shifted to park on its own while driving speeds of 30mph. This happened two more times before being able to return to my residence and call for a tow. The car was towed to the same dealer and in their notes. The tow driver experienced the truck turning off on him while trying to back it off the truck. The dealer had the truck for several days but told me they could not replicate the issue which has now been experienced by me and the tow driver. Again I go back and take possession of the truck which is now more concerning because it is happening while driving and they can't fix it.

I have an open recall on my vehicle. I took it to my local dealer, boulder Ram, and they refused to service my vehicle because I did not purchase it from them. Shouldn't any authorized dealer be required to repair a vehicle with an open recall? I have a call into fca but they have yet to respond.

To whom it may concern, in May 2020, I rented a 2019 Dodge Ram to facilitate a move from Illinois to Florida. 8 hours into the journey, the vehicle erupted into flames, nearly killing my son, fianc, myself and our puppy. Fortunately, someone driving behind us flagged us down when they noticed black smoke coming from the vehicle. We were able to safely escape, called 911, then had to watch as all of our personal effects and some valuables were destroyed by fire. That was on May 31, 2020, inspections were performed on the vehicle, with Ram being one of the parties involved in the inspection process. Unfortunately, the inspectors were unable to definitively say what happened, although they theorized that the rear, drivers side caliper may have seized up, resulting in the fire. Either way, nothing we could have done differently. While I am relieved that we were able to escape harm, it's upsetting that all of our keepsakes, personal effects and some valuables were destroyed. To add to the heartbreak, we have yet to hear from anyone acting on behalf of Ram. Considering the near miss we suffered, I would think that Ram would show some compassion and reach out to us. Very disappointing, I will never purchase a Dodge affiliated vehicle (again) in my life.

Sudden loss of engine oil due to engine mounting bracket breaking away from frame causing engine to drop puncturing the oil filter. 7 quarts of oil pumped out all over the hot exhaust and onto the right front brake assembly. When I saw the smoke I slowed down and tried to get to a safe stopping point off of the highway. By the time I got there the low oil pressure indicator came on. When I finally came to a complete stop oil was everywhere under and on the vehicle.I shut the engine off and got out thinking it may be on fire. Thankfully it was not. I also hope there is no engine damage. I called the dealer and had it towed to there shop. I was informed there was an incomplete weld on the frame bracket causing this failure. This sounds like a manufacturing defect to me! I, am not happy with the repairs the dealer is proposing. This truck is 2 years old and has 18,000 miles.

While I was driving my truck, the panoramic sunroof shattered. The cover was closed during this time. I was driving approx. 35-40 mph, with the temperature around 85-90. I was driving straight on an open road with no vehicle in front of me. There were no other debris from the vehicle, except for the shattered glass. I brought the vehicle to the Ram dealership where I am waiting for repairs. At this time, the dealership is not saying whether it will be covered by warranty or if I have to pay out of pocket.

The first issue was the airbag light came on when starting and stayed on since and the app said airbag may not deploy. The dealer said in Mar it was safe to drive. In April the truck while engaging the cruise would speed up above cruise set or just turn off without breaking. Now no cruise at all and I am disabled so it would be nice to have that feature for long drives. I called again they said I was welcome to call hq. Now not even a month later I have no horn while driving and needed it. This is the last straw. How is this safe with no airbags or a working horn?

Vehicle airbag lights on startup stayed on. Dealer said ok to derive even though app said airbag a may not deploy. Issue sounds like the same issue as 2018 Ram. Less than a month later the cruise control would speed up or turn off while engaged. When all of sudden it stooped working. Disabled..this is a necessary feature on a longer trip. Lastly about 3 weeks layer when I needed the horn, it too stopped working. 2 safety issues and its ok to drive.

There is a horrible roaring sound when you get up to around 50-70 miles per hour and slow down or speed up. It will be constant at times and come and go at times. Talked to the service man at the company said there were constant complaints on this he knew exactly what it was but wouldn't say to me. Is this a recall of some sort on these trucks if so I need to know im not going to pay for this due to this vehicle under warranty and just buying it. I am always driving on the road when this happens.
