The driver side sun visor hinge point is failing. Without warning either when I attempt to fold down the sun visor or sometimes just on it's own it has fallen down out of the roof from the hinge point on the left side that allows you to rotate it to the side window if necessary. If I didn't have my hand on it to immediately lift it back up and from blocking my vision of the road in front of me it could have caused a collision with another vehicle, pedestrian or other object. I can push it back up into the receiver hole in the roof but it remains loose with the potential to fall out again as it has on several occasions. It has not been inspected yet. There are no warning indicators for this problem.

The drivers side sun visor can fall out of the mechanism that holds it to the interior of the roof without warning. This happened on my ex girlfriends 2019 ram 1500 and just happened to my 2020 ram 1500. The dealer repaired hers for free even though it was out of warranted because it was a -??known issue-?? according to the service department. Today mine fell out, hitting me in the head as I was driving and temporarily obscured my view of the roadway. The same happened to my girlfriend. If this is a known issue why has there not been a recall notice on this? Could easily lead to accident with injury or fatality.

BACK OVER PREVENTION: DISPLAY FUNCTION. Rear backup camera failed, requiring the replacement of the radio unit. A rearview camera that does not display an image reduces the driver's rear view, increasing the risk of a crash. Specific to 2020 Ram 1500, but potentially similar to the recent recall of newer year 2022-2024 Ram 1500 / 2500 trucks (https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2023/RCAK-23V654-9422.pdf).

About a year ago the passenger side visor fell from the arm side and was dangling in the window from the cords that operate the light. I almost ran into another vehicle when it happened. About 2 months ago, the driver side did the exact same thing as i was approaching a stoplight I could not see and almost hit the car in front of me.

The drivers-side Sunvisor keeps falling down randomly and dangles in way of line of sight to the road. It will not stay up. The safety issue is while driving in heavy traffic in Houston, TX the visor fell down obstructing my view and I almost crashed trying to keep the Visor Up with one hand and avoiding cars changing lanes. I did take my truck to the dealer and they told me it would cost $180 just to look at and then they would tell how much it would cost to fix. I feel this should be a Safety Matter and corrected free of charge. I looked on the internet and it seems there are a lot of problems with this same issue. There were not any warning lights before or after the visor would obstruck my vision.

The plastic clip that holds the sun visor into the roof has broken after 32,000 miles of driving, when the plastic has failed he visor can fall out of position and into the field of view, the visor can no longer be stored in its correct position, it also needs to be held while driving so that it does not obstruct ones vision.

Both driver/passenger side adjustable sun visors broke while driving the vehicle, causing the visor to smack me in the face, and almost veering into another street lane without intention to do so. Now that they are both broken, it is ineffective to use in order to block the sun from blinding the driver while operating the vehicle. This presents a very unsafe driving condition, as they are constantly dropping from the fastening arm. Before I attempt to purchase new replacements, I feel this should be replaced at cost by the manufacturer cause there is intricate wiring inside the arms which have detached from the fastener. My vehicle isn't even three years of age and the sun visors are not handled rigorously outside of normal operation handling. See photos provided.

Rear window and 3rd brake light leaking multiple times. Rear window replaced multiple times. rear window leaked this time causing an electrical short draining my battery and cause certain electronic parts of the truck not to work properly. Cracks it rear window are extremely prevalent on this vehicle and it is a known issue yet there hasn't been permanent adequate fix by the manufacturer and isn't covered once warranty runs out. the problem is a composite frame to the window that is going to crack no matter what due to temperature changes and flex in the body of the vehicle.

2020 RAM 1500 with etorque. Truck 12v battery goes dead every 2-3 days. This was caused by a leak in the rear window allowing water to gather behind the rear seat resulting multiple issues including loss of control of navigation system, heater and radio. Dealer states water caused electrical shorts in canbus resulting in multiple system failures.

The visor on the driver-€™s side has had a complete fail which causes the visor to fall down and block the driver-€™s vision. This is a significant safety hazard as it blocks the driver-€™s view and it takes two hands to push the visor back up so that it is not blocking the driver-€™s view. The same thing happened to the passenger side less than a year ago and the dealer had no problem replacing it. For some reason they won't honor fixing the driver side. Even though it is widely known that this is an issue with Ram trucks. The dealer has inspected the vehicle and determined the part is broken but extended warranty told the dealer that I needed to pay for it myself. I don't have an extra $300 to spend on a visor that was made inadequately in the first place. Internet reports suggests this is a widespread problem with the Dodge Ram. Having a malfunctioning component that causes the visor to block the driver-€™s view poses a significant risk that a driver could be in an accident because he or she cannot see the road ahead and cannot clear the field of view without taking both hands off the steering wheel. This is an ongoing risk for Dodge vehicles so long as Dodge does not produce adequate parts to repair the malfunctioning piece

The passenger side visor constantly disengages from the ceiling and falls down blocking the view of the driver. The issue requires taking both hands and shoving the visor back into the ceiling. This happened so often that now the visor won't engage back into the ceiling and the wiring for the mirror light has also broken.

Air is blowing out of Defrost on all settings. This is a safety hazard in the summer as when it is high humidity outside and the A/C is set to blow out of front facing vents only the air still blows out of Defrost and causes the window to fog up and obstructs the view out of the front window. Also during the winter when defrost only made is set the same amount of air is now blowing out at my feet. The main safety concern is during the summer for the obstructed view out of the front window. Had this looked at during routine service and dealership said this is a known issue and they have no way to fix it at this time from RAM.

The visor on the driver-€™s side has had a component fail which causes the visor to fall down and block the driver-€™s vision. This is a significant safety hazard as it blocks the driver-€™s view and it takes two hands to push the visor back up so that it is not blocking the driver-€™s view. The dealer has inspected the vehicle and determined the part is not working properly and has agreed to a warranty repair. However, the part has not been available for four months. Internet reports suggests this is a widespread problem with the Dodge Ram. The visor swivel latch to the headliner malfunctioned (without warning) when attempting to move it to the side. This resulted in the visor immediately falling and dangling in front of my face with an inability to see the road. I almost crashed into another vehicle. Research on this issue shows it is a fairly common problem on this model vehicle. After removal of the visor, a fracture of the plastic swivel is clearly evident. I have the visor for inspection if you want to see it. Unfortunately, my vehicle is just over the warranty period at 40,800 miles.

The sun visor both driver and passenger are defective. When driving any sudden bump in the road causes it to fall and impairs vision of the road. The sun visor is broken from the bracket which causes it to detach and fall from original place. When I spoke to dealer they informed me it was a common problem with Dodge Ram and Jeep models. However, they said since there has been no recall they refuse to fix the visor issue.
