Also the TPMS system, Cruise control, and all 4 wheel drive components will not work as they are processed through this module. This module failed in October 2023 and is unavailable for my mechanic to fix my truck. It is now February of 2024 and I am being told that this module will not even be available for order for my mechanic to fix until June of 2024. This is dangerous and unacceptable to have a braking system not working properly for 8 months or more! Abs/traction control lights keep pooping up on the dash. The dealer has changed the abs module and it didn-??t last long. The truck has 28k miles. The anti lock brake system has failed on my 2018 Ram 2500. This has been confirmed by the dealer as well as an independent shop. First case was hauling a trailer full of wood, a car pulled out in front of me, I slammed the brake and the anti skid failed, brakes locked up. Got in my truck one day and my ABS and Traction Control Lights both came on, as well as a notification in my central dash advising to service electronic brake system. At first the lights where intermittent and random. I could start the truck and the lights would be off. Apply the brakes to put in gear and the lights would come on. I am receiving intermittent, but frequent, ABS error while driving. The alarm dings and cruise control is disabled. Most times it happens every couple of minutes but every so often, it will go several minutes without the error and alarm noise. This vehicle has faulty or defective ABS braking system. The warning lights and warning chimes have been constantly going off for approx. 2 years. The Dodge/Ram dealerships admits that this is an industry wide defect with 2017 and 2018 Ram 2500 trucks, but say they have no parts to correct the problem. Their suggestion to me was to buy a new truck which is not acceptable or affordable. This was identified by both the dealership and Chrysler as being a safety issue with no resolution from Chrysler or dealer. I use vehicle to transport my grandchildren and livestock and truly doubt my ability to operate safely without the Federally required working ABS system. This is truly a safety issue and an immediate recall is necessary. Ram/Chrysler will not correct issue without recall. I am limited on the use of my vehicle but have no choice as it is my only transportation, thank you.

The truck has low miles only about 50K and my ABS lights go on and off randomly. Now when I am driving I randomly have ABS lights go on and off and I believe that the issue is with that ram ABS unit and control module. I have been told that the fix will involve replacing both pump and control module. I tow with this truck in all weather and it's not safe to be driving without a working ABS. I was told then that the replacement part would not be available till August 2023. I called in August and was told that it would not be available till February 2024. I called in February and was told it-??s not available till June 2024. The Dodge dealership parts manager told me they have 11 trucks with the same problem they are trying to service. So far we have spent over $700 in diagnosing and trying to get the problem fixed.
