ABS and traction control go off and on constantly while driving. When doing so lights on the dash come on as well as a loud chime. Besides being very annoying, it makes the vehicle unsafe when not having ABS and or traction control at any given moment. This started happening when the truck only had 5,000 or so miles on it. I couldn't get it "fixed" because of COVID, and the dealerships have no parts/ back-ordered. I've heard that many others with same problem, had things replaced by the dealers ( at their cost) and it comes back again. This should be a recall !!! I keep getting an ABS/Traction control warning on my 2018 Ram 2500 I was told this is a common issue and the parts for repair would be over $1,000 dollars. I am an ASE certified mechanic in the field of brakes. This is a safety item that should be under a recall if those systems go down not only do you loose the ABS/traction control but you also loose four wheel drive. That makes driving in the northeast very hazardous on roads covered in snow and ice.

ABS and Traction Control light and alarms activated inside cab on dash. Vehicle taken to dealership and they stated the HCU (hydraulic control unit) needed to be replaced. At that time no parts were available and a time frame was not given because no one had the parts not even after market. After several months of driving vehicle with out ABS or Traction Control vehicle has been fixed.

I bought my truck, a Ram 2500 with the Cummins diesel engine in August 2018. When the truck had 20,000 miles on it the ABS and traction control lights, chimes and notice came on. I took it under warranty to the Dodge Ram dealer where I bought it. They did diagnostic tests and replaced the ABS control unit and ABS module under warranty. The truck now is out of warranty with 76,000 miles on it and the ABS and Traction Control lights, chimes and notice on the dash screen have returned. I will take it to a local Dodge Ram dealer and have the problem diagnosed soon. I feel that these issues are a safety concern and are due to faulty parts used by the vehicle manufacturer. As such, my vehicle should be included in a safety recall and fixed at the manufacturer's expense. Thank you.

I have replaced the ABS/HCU 2 times as of 1/1/2024. I am currently waiting for the 3rd one. The ABS system is unreliable and dangerous during the time of waiting for parts availability. The dealer diagnosed the vehicle in 10/2023 and has been unable to get parts to repair the problem.

Service abs sensor has already been replaced by the dealer and less than 2 years later the problem is back. Dealer says major wait for part. Nobody makes it.so now I have to drive a truck with faulty abs. Very unsafe. My research shows some people told a year wait for part. How do I even sell it with the dash all lit up and pinging every couple seconds. Why is this not a huge recall for safety alone. Any advice is welcome. Thank you

Abs and traction control light going off and on causing abs and traction control to be disabled. Safety issue being able to control vehicle if had to get on brakes hard Problem was able to be reproduced by the dealer and this has been replaced once before on the truck while under warranty, Component has been inspected by dealer and found faulty on November 16 2023 but informed it would be late January 2024 before they would have parts, now it is late January and they say parts are in the development phase and would be late June or July before they might have the parts. Concern is have a 2018 truck with just over 32000 miles on it that has had the same issue twice and they can not fix, Advised by dealer and ram customer service that they advise not to drive truck, but they will not loan a truck during this time but could rent one at my expense

The ABS module failed and was replaced April of 2022 at Terry Hendricks Ram in Archbold Ohio under extended warranty. Now I-??m in Titusville Florida for the winter and same issue, ABS lights and service traction control with the constant dinging. Parks Chrysler Ram here has order same part again, they said will take a couple weeks to get a replacement as there-??s a waiting list because it-??s a on going issue with these trucks. 51,000 miles on it and stated there is a 2 year warranty on this part. This now does not have the antilock working again and could be a safety issue. Should have a recall on this.

Abs light in the dash came on intermittently then constantly. Took the vehicle to Nemer Ram in Queensbury ny. They replaced some parts, but problem continued. They said abs module is bad and said a new one has been ordered but there is a national back order and no info on timing of receiving the part. Told me to take the truck and drive home. They said abs system May or may not work. I have driven it for two weeks since and have had some very dangerous situations in rain and snow where brakes locked up and skidded, so abs didn-??t work. This is a seriously dangerous situation that forbids me from driving this vehicle in wet or snowy conditions. I live in northern ny, where it snows and rains often, so I can barely drive this vehicle. Dealer told me to call Chrysler customer care, which I did today. I have a case #[XXX]. I am the owner of a 2018 ram truck. this is a 2500 series for wheel drive the ABS module failed approximately two years ago and I have not been able to get Chrysler to provide part for repair. The vehicle has 225,000 miles on it at this time and we are continuing to drive it, the ABS or cruise control or traction control because these are all related to the ABS module/pump

I purchased a used vehicle from Victory Dodge Dealship in Kansas City three days later, the ABS traction control all my sensors, cruise control four-wheel-drive locked out on me, kicked out the cruise control on the highway was not sure what was going on someone behind me almost ran into me thought something was wrong with the truck, so I went to pull over slowly hitting the brakes like I normally would but the brakes locked up due to the fact ABS shut off almost crashed my truck Now to find out, there is a huge problem with the ABS control modules going bad, and my Dealer says they-??re not gonna cover it even though I just bought it and the part is unavailable for the next 6 to 8 months There needs to be a nationwide mandatory recall from Dodge on this part as it-??s been a problem for countless people, and it is a safety issue that needs to be dealt with some kind of fix and replacement needs to be made there-??s regular hard-working people out here that these things break over and over and over again and don-??t have the money to fix something that should not be breaking Please push for a recall on the ABS system on these trucks and come up with a replacement that will not malfunction or break Thank you

2018 Ram 2500 26,000 miles anti lock brake system light goes in and out while driving. This also causes the alarm to ding continuously while driving. This makes for distracted driving not to mention the safety of the braking system. I personally know 3 people with the same truck same issue. When I took it to dealer they started the diagnostic test and stated that it was the brake module. They also stated they do not know if any reoccurring issues with the module. I realized the dealer wasn-??t gonna help me and pulled the truck from the shop. I am writing to you guys out of concern and frustration. This should be a recall due to the size and weight of the vehicle. 2500 trucks are designed to tow heavy loads and I do that with my truck. I currently will not pull any thing due the safety of me and the public. I-??m hoping this help get my truck back on the road and safe to drive.

I get a warning that flashes on the dash multiple times every time I drive stating that I need to service the electronic braking system. This warning is also accompanied by the traction control and ABS warning lights. The warning and lights do not stay illuminated and flash on and off several times during the course of even a short drive and the warning bell sounds every time as well. At minimum this is a huge distraction when driving and even worse I do not know if I can trust the brakes in the event of an emergency stop. I looked at fixing the issue by replacing the ABS and HCU units, but those parts are back ordered well in to 2024 now. Reading on various forums, this problem seems to be pretty common, but as far as I know no recall has been issued by Chrysler.
