Abs control unit is bad at 35725 miles. Part is back ordered until atleast April. Truck is under warranty but they won-??t give a loaner until repairs are being made. I-??m supposed to drive the unsafe vehicle until then and make payments on it. Dealer has been great. This is a ram problem. This is a known common issue they-??ve neglected to remedy. Completely irate.

Electrical warning for electronic ABS Braking System and Module to include traction control. Initial evaluation at Dealership on 10/25/2023 Since then, the parts have been order, but unavailable through the dealer or through the Customer Care team at Dodge. Multiple phone calls, emails, etc., and still the parts have no estimated delivery. No solution has been offered by the Dealer or by Dodge and the truck is unsafe to drive.

ABS and traction control warning lights keep coming on and I have either impaired brake performance or loss in braking at all. I have had the codes ran and the ABS module keeps coming up as a failure. The warning lights sometimes come on just while driving or when hitting a bump in the road. They stay on for the duration of the drive and sometimes will turn off randomly.

Since incident, the messages continue to appear in my dash. "Service Antilock Brake System" and "Service Electronic Braking System", flashing on and off erratically. I talk directly to Mopar which is overseas, and they tell me it isn't covered because its under the basic warranty which has expired. I asked them to send me the documentation so I can see it in writing and they said they cannot send it or show it to me and that only they can see this information. I am concerned that they are not being honest with the warranty coverage because my five year/100,000 expires in June 2024; and ironically they said the ABS part isn't available until June.

ABS and Traction Control light on. This cancels out cruise control also. Vehicle was repaired at 23562 miles and is out again at 32000 miles. I have been on dealers waiting list for over a month. The part used for the repair must have been defective also. W11aiting time for the repair is entirely too long. Antilock brakes are a safety concern and should be quickly fixed.

This truck has an intermittent "service electronic brake system, service automatic brake system" caution message displaying on the vehicle dash. It has become more frequent and disables the cruise control, stability traction control, and ABS. The same issue happened in May 2021 and was addressed with the dealer at that time with code C0020-01. Under warranty the ABS module and HCU were replaced and the problem was corrected til December 2023. This same issue happened again showing code C0020-01. The truck is no longer under warranty and the dealer states that I will have to pay for this repair. This seems like a common issue on these trucks and needs to be addressed with the manufacturer. I have included the invoice from repair in 2021.

The truck developed a warning light for ABS / Stabilitrak needing to be serviced. Ram dealership replaced an ABS Pump, but the issue came right back. They are now saying it needs a new control module at great expense, but that they are unavailable currently. Delivery on the part has been pushed back continuously over the last 12 months, still no parts. This issue causes a regular intermittent digging and warning light in the cab, disables ABS, disables Stability Control, Disables Traction Control, and Disables Speed Control (Cruise Control). This issue has been ongoing for 8+ months at this time with no developments from Ram and the vehicle in an unsafe and compromised condition.

The ABS module failed. This resulted in the ABS function not working along with cruise control. This seems to be more common with this model year. Warrant did not cover this so I had to pay the dealer to replace the ABS pump and ABS electronic module.

Service Antilock Braking System and Service Electronic Brake System will begin to constantly flash on the dash. It would display the ABS light and the Traction Control light. At this time it would also turn off cruise control while traveling down the highway. I purchased the truck with 62,000 miles on it on 12/28/2023 and the issue occurred on the way home and ever since. Since I was not aware of this issue, the truck slowed down and I was almost hit. I had to pull off the road to figure out what was going on.

The ABS lights and traction control lights alarm keeps flashing on and off at random intervals) on my 2018 Ram 2500 4x4 with 18,000 miles on it. When the ABS Light and traction control light come on intermittently it also disengaged the cruise controls. At first it was here and there or when I hit a bump or turning the steering wheel right or left. Thought it was possibly a wheel speed sensor. Checked code with scanner and got -??ABS pump motor control-general electrical failure-??. Thought the issue was the ABS module based on my scan. I tried to find the part I had to call all over the place due to supply chain issues. When I spoke to a parts person from a dealership I explained the issue and code. He stated that the General Electric code failure was the HCU and not the ABS module. It-??s bad when your cruising at the speed limit of 70 mile an you and the cruise control quits working an you ned to react to the traffic but, my real concern is that the ABS won't work and could cause the truck wheels to lock-up during a panic/hard stop.

ABS warning lights came on while driving, early October 2023. Dealer diagnosed problem as faulty pump control, faulty module. Lights continue to flash while operating vehicle, along with the cruise control being disabled. Dealer has pump control, module is unavailable, with no known date of availability. Electronic Braking system failure affecting the ABS system, Traction control, and cruise control. It puts the safety of everyone in the vehicle and on the road at risk because the ABS and cruise control will fail causing an unexpected adverse conditional that can lead to an accident. This is a known problem for RAM and their is no fix at this time other than making the customer pay out of pocket for the broken parts to be replaced with the same parts that will fail shortly after. There needs to be a recall and a permanent fix from RAM

ABS Service Required Light and alarm and Electronic Braking light and alarm are coming on and going off. Just started in the last week. Apparently this issue has existed since 2018 with no recall issued to date. ABS module has not been available and shows Discontinued. I have not been to the dealer at this point, but from research the problem is a bad ABS module from factory. Hundreds of other trucks are affected with no resolution. I have to tow a 38 ft trailer and it may be unsafe if ABS fails. I do NOT want to have an accident and destroy my truck and trailer and/or have my wife and I injured or worse. The vehicle is available for inspection. I would be certain that the threshold for complaints has been met. If you are serious about vehicle safety, you will put a recall on the affected vehicles and require the parts be made available for repair sooner than later. I have seen where people have waited several months and still have no parts. Also, the cost of repair out of warranty is somewhere between $1200 and $1700. For a manufacturer defect this should not happen. Please issue a recall!
