I am continuing to have warning lights telling me to service Anti Lock brake system and also the Electronic brake system. I took it to a dealership and they told me that the hydraulic control unit and the ABS module was faulty but made no attempt to resolve the problem unless I paid over $6000 for the repairs. My truck only has 122300 miles on it and it has been a constant problem. i don't have the money to pay that and it's my only vehicle.

I received notice of a safety recall concerning the brake/ anti-skid control module. This notice said there was a possibility of complete failure that could result in serious injury or death. I contacted my local dealer and was told the recall wouldn't start until the first quarter of 2025. I told them my dash warning lights were already on. Their advice was to park my vehicle and obtain other transportation because of the danger. This seems to be unreasonable to me. It would cost a lot to rent another truck for that period of time. This seems to be putting my family and me in danger! Is there anyway to proceed earlier?

Warning lights and loss of ABS braking, and traction control. The computer has been replaced before and the same issue has happened again. I noticed a recall for the same issue and same model year, but was told my vehicle is not covered by this recall. The warning comes and goes very frequently and I am never sure if the ABS will work. This vehicle is used to tow trailers and the lack of ABS brakes is a safety problem.

I bought this 2018 RAM 2500 in February 2024 from a certified dealer. They indicated the ABS light was on however I was traveling out of town and they indicated my local dealer could fix this faster and lowered the price by the estimated cost for repair. I have been working with my local Mechanic for almost a year to solve the ABS modular problem but the local RAM dealership states the part is on back order or nonexistent. I have driven the vehicle very little due to the worry of an accident after not being able to resolve this issue. When driving the vehicle, the ABS light is on and constantly sounding a warning. Again, I have not been been driving this vehicle due to the dangerous situation it may cause. In my opinion, the dealership should have never sold me this vehicle, knowing that repair parts are unavailable for the ABS module. I was never informed of any recall on this vehicle at the time of purchase or since the purchase.

My ABS master unit/Traction Control unit has been replaced once. Now it needs replacing again. The currently installed ABS/Traction Control unit is available for inspection. The problem has been confirmed by a dealer service center. They are the ones that replaced the first unit. The vehicle/component has been inspected by the dealership. Warning lamps (ABS/Traction Control) come on and off intermittently while the vehicle is in use. It also comes on and off while the vehicle is idling in park.

At Roughly 38000 miles the ABS and Traction control light began going on and off intermittently. Took to local dealer and the replaced the ABS HCU and Module to the tune of $1000. Now 2 years later and 54000 miles and it has failed again doing the same thing. This is a well-known issue for the 2017 & 2018 RAM 2500 pickups like mine. This is a serious safety issue which needs to be addressed and fixed by RAM.

My trucks braking systems hydraulic control unit (HCU) is Malfunctioning. It goes in and out of service while driving and two warning lights and a buzzer will sound on and off. This part was replaced during the 3/36 warranty and again when out of warranty for two replacements before 71k miles. Now for the third time it-??s malfunctioning at 111k miles. I failed to convince Ram to replace it for the third time under warranty and was denied. I was told the part and the truck is out of warranty and will be an out of pocket expense to repair. I feel the dealer installed a known faulty part and Ram should replace it with the new corrected part number at no cost.

ABS and Traction Control lights come on intermitenetly and loss of cruise control. Says service ABS Control System. This is a very common issue and something that could easily cause a major accident in not ideal situations if not resolved quickly. The dealership has inspected it and confirmed the ABS Module is the culprit. This is obviously something that is common and should be investigated more.

C0020-01-ABS PUMP MOTOR CONTROL - GENERAL ELECTRICAL FAILURE continues to come up in my vehicle each time a bump in the road is hit. I am very concerned that this will cause intermittent or permanent loss of braking performance while driving and potentially endangering myself and other motorists. ABS warning keeps flashing intermittently. The HCU module apparently has issues. Took vehicle back for another recall issue and they told me to watch it and if I pulled trailers to bring it in. Apparently, dealers are aware this is an issue and research showed me that a recall Is possible so I am reporting the issue.
