C0020-16 code abs modual voltage below threshold. No cruse no ABS and no trailor brakes

Intermittent warning on dash and chime with "Service Electronic Brake System" and "Service Antilock Brake System". On most daily drives the chime and warning go off about every 2-4 minutes. I have video of it going off 30 times in one minute. Dealer wants to replace brake controller and head unit at a cost of $1600. This is a safety issue and should be recalled.

2018 Ram 2500 with 18,900 miles. While driving at various speeds, the ABS and traction control warning lights illuminated with an audible chime. The brakes would slip upon depression of the brake pedal while the warning lights are illuminated. ABS control module/traction control is intermittently failing. There is no antilock braking or traction control on wet/icy conditions.

My truck at 38,000 miles started flashing occasionally ABS and traction control warning lights. Neither my ABS or traction control are working when the lights are on. Now I have 45,000 miles on my truck and both lights are on all the time I had the code read and it is C0020-1. My understanding is this is a known problem and my cost is over $1000 to fix this problem. I contacted my dealer and they told me my truck is out of warranty and they don-??t know of any recalls or investigations into 2018 Ram 2500 braking systems. I have not gotten the issue fixed and we drive it as little as possible. The truck is available for inspection. I am not willing to pay the dealer to inspect the truck.

At approximately 104,000 miles beginning last September I started intermittently receiving a warning service abs brake system and traction control. It would be more frequent when going down a bumpy road. It continued for a long time and gradually became more constant. Internet searches had suggested fixes of removing the fuse for the abs system, in and of its self creating another safety problem. Ram has issued a bulletin for its mechanics telling them to change the ABS control, so obviously this happens a lot. The invoice for the repair is a attached which says there was an internal short on the abs pump. I note that beginning in 2019 Rams there is recall for a faulty abs pump. Obviously the pump on my truck is also faulty and should be replaced a Ram's cost by a recall. I will attach the invoice if there is a place to do so in this form. The antilock brake system has failed. The vehicle is available for inspection. Without the antilock brakes operating properly, the vehicle is harder to control in emergency situations or on slippery surfaces, endangering the safety of myself and others. The problem has been confirmed by an independent service center. ABS and traction control lights are on. Service ABS Brake System message on dash. ABS and cruise control inoperative. Code C0020-01 present. Symptoms first appeared May 17 2022.

Truck was bought by me 12/28/22 with around 4900 miles on it. Within driving the vehicle approximately 40 miles the service electronic brakes and service abs lights began to illuminate intermittently. I have driven approximately 2000 miles and they keep going on and off, seemingly while hitting bumps. From my research I believe it to be a failure of the abs hydraulic control unit. I believe the manufacturer knows this to be a common problem and has revised the part in question. This should be a recall on these particular trucks, a quick Google search of the part number of the hcu will reveal numerous people with the exact same issue.

The ABS module and associated control unit have failed. This causes the anti lock braking and traction control systems to be inoperable which can cause the vehicle to lose control which can cause injury or death. FCA is aware that these units are defective and refuses to fix them.

C0020-01 code began coming in and out immediatly following a service at my local Ram dealer. I returned to the dealer after the warning lamps and messages all came in around ten times within a mile of picking my truck up from them. The dealer used a device to clear the messages, but the alarms returned again after I left. There are multiple warning lamps and messages that remain in as a result of this: service anti-lock braking system, ABS warning lamp, traction control lamp, and a loss of cruise control functionality. While the constant "dinging" sound and loss of cruise control on a truck with less than 20K miles is disappointing, I am concerned whether or not these warnings are indication of a serious safety hazard to my family and/or those we are on the highway with. My truck is available for inspection. The issue was confirmed by my local dealer who cleared the alarms when they first came in.

Abs and traction control lights come on and off dealership replaced the hcu and the problem stopped. 2 years later and only 3,000 problem started again. Contacted the dealership and they said its a known issue but no parts are available and no recall

Traction Control Light is illuminated, Service Trailer Braking System, and Service Trailer Brake System Notifications are present on engine startup. ABS system appears to be inoperative in slippery conditions. Service Engine Light comes on every 15 miles or so with Codes P0572 and P0572pd. Download codes and they go away.

Slightly out of warranty. Suddenly starting getting ABS warning light coming on and warning chime then it goes out and shortly thereafter comes on again, it doesn't quit for many miles. Take to dealer and find out its a failed ABS module and HCU. Also find out through repair history that the ABS module had been replaced at about 14000 miles so this was a second failure. Found out through online sources that there are many failures of these items on but it is mostly on the 2018 vehicles

inconsistent flickering/flashing of the "service electronic brake system" & "traction control unavailable" lights with audibles dings. Additionally, the ABS light illuminates. After research this appears to be a common failure point that costs over $1,000. My truck is a 2018 with 36,000 miles. I do not know if my brake system will fail on me or what. I haul a 12,000 lb trailer with horses and rely heavily on my ABS system working in case of emergency. I'm submitting this claim because I know there is an open investigation by the NHTSA and would like to add on to the complaints.

ABS and Traction control lights on together, took into ram service dept which indicated internal fault with ABS pump (hydraulic control unit) need to replace and bleed brakes to correct. Not possible to order needed ABS pump replacement until at least 2 months away, advised not to use vehicle especially for towing as unsafe in this condition.

ABS system failed to perform. Hard braking on interstate caused tires to lock up and vehicle began to slide, causing trailer to start to outrun truck. A message appeared stating that ABS system needed service. The message is not stored in the message center so I can not confirm wording. Dealership replaced a brake component due to finding a problem buried in the computer at 39993 miles. This event occurred at approximately 45000 miles as the truck now sits with 45057 miles. Appointment has been made with dealership which states that diagnostic fees may be charged.
