The contact called Mopar to inquire about the remedy being completed and the failure that was experienced. The contact stated that Mopar confirmed that the recall repair had been completed; however, the date listed was before the recall had been issued. Mopar was unable to produce the paperwork to prove completion and refused to repair the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who diagnosed that the hydraulic control unit had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired due to a shortage of parts availability. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and opened a case. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.
