Told to the dealer, the service manager listened to the problem, contacted Subaru and told me he has no idea how to fix it and neither did Subaru. If you talk with someone who speaks softly and you turn up the volume while talking to them and then end your conversation, your ears can be pierced by the high volume noise feedback that occurs. It makes you jump out of your seat. Honestly, there is no solution????

Update from Oct 22, 2019: There is no fix for this problem that my dealer has found, but I identified what the problem is. When the car takes a phone call, the volume on the iphone comes in at 28-30, where as the radio is equally loud at a setting of 8-9. When it ends the call, there is a moment when the radio plays at the phone volume, before it switches back to the radio volume of 8-9. This is so annoying!! I can't believe there isn't a fix. The dealer tells me no one else has had this problem. Anyone else????
