One of our crappy factory tires on our 2019 Subaru with 18,000 mi blew on I-90. Lots of semi-truck traffic, scary. The problem: Starlink failed. Starlink was not able to locate us although we told them where we were, and then the operator told us our exact location.
WTF. The road side assistance company called by Starlink was contracted with Starlink. 90 minutes later, then 45 minutes and then 30 minutes wife started jacking some people up. Like a parrot, Starlink says they only use contractors although there was a non- contractor
Les Schwab tire shop “2â€miles away. (The time spent near a potential hazard increases the possibility of an accident).
Although I suffer from chronic pain and fear being turned into a road frisbee, I started the tire change myself. They finally came from a city 50 miles away. But not before driving by us two times. A State Trooper had came and helped change the tire with the emergency spare. Assistance co. showed up as the trooper tightened the last nut. The co. driver said they get paid no matter what. Same Co. said they were sent to a house on I St and I 90.
Bottom line: don’t buy a Subaru. Don’t get within striking distance of a Subaru dealer. Don't pay for road service with a company that does not care about the customer’s health and safety. And finally, don’t pay for roadside assistance from a parrot; “contractors onlyâ€, “contractors onlyâ€.
