Purchased car as a replacement for our 2018 Outback (which indeed had the issues with the Starlink Entertainment System - the display quit altogether and we waited several weeks for replacement to be sent). Less than 6.5 months into owning the car, the transmission needed to be replaced. A month later it needed a new battery and it's worth noting that the grey trim on the rear doors was replaced as they were coming off of the car.

11,000 miles into owning this car, the transmission starting to make very loud squealing noises. In addition, the car would kick very badly. Took it to the dealership and it spent a month in the shop waiting for a new transmission to be delivered and replaced. This car has given me so many problems. The worst car I have owned when it comes to reliability.

Clunky shifting from Park to Drive, Park to Reverse or Drive to Reverse. This problem is intermittent but annoying. Randomly makes a loud CLUNK when shifting from park to drive or really going to any gear, and then other days it is smoother. This is my first Subaru and will definitely be my last, I will be bringing it in for the first service next week and they may have to tow it in since I went to start it earlier and it would not start. I have it on a charger now, and am hoping it was just drained but nothing was left on. This $40K brand new vehicle has left me stranded. Of all the cars I have owned in the past 40 years, this one is the worst and it only has 6000 miles on it.
