warning lights come on, disable safety functions warning lights come on, disable safety functions

A few months ago when starting my Subaru Ascent, the warning lights started coming on at once, specifically "CHECK ENGINE", RAB, and EYESIGHT, disabling some safety features. The lights would stay on after driving, even though my car seemed to be running fine otherwise. This happened several times. I did mention to the dealership when I took my car in for tire rotation/oil change several weeks ago but they said the warning lights had to be on in order for them to diagnose the problem. I finally had a chance to take my Subaru to the service dept last Friday when the warning lights were on and they said the transmission harness needs replaced. However, the harness is back-ordered so they gave me an Outback to drive until the part comes in. I hope this will solve the problem. Meanwhile, I am enjoying driving the Outback and am regretting not getting another Outback instead of the less reliable Subaru Ascent. Love the Outback!
