The orange paint chips easily from normal driving. Subaru refused to fix under warranty after asking me to get a quote from a body shop.

Vehicle was purchased June 2nd of 2018. Within the first week, I noticed several chips of paint missing on the hood. I was extremely annoyed and disappointed. After having the car for nearly a year and many more chips I decided to call the dealership to report the problem. They had me stopped by to make a claim; they took photos and fill out paperwork, however, I was never given a copy. Jacob the service manager said he would send claim to corporate and get back to me. Three months have gone by and no response from the dealership, even after several calls to them. I have joined a couple of petitions and filing a complaint on this website. Doesn't seem fair that Subaru will not take accountability and allowing the consumer to absorb the cost. I will never buy another Subaru!!!

Great car but the Subaru paint quality is terrible. Chips started at 3,000 miles now I have 23,000 miles with 30+ chips. My Subaru dealers said that its not covered under my bumper to bumper, and they blame it on the long island highways. I had a 2000 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport with 120,000 miles with maybe 5 chips in the paint. I've never seen so many paint chips on a car before, let alone a brand new $30,000 car. I'm very annoyed at Subaru for having no quality control on their cars. I have been telling people about my experience and steering them away from Subaru as they don't stand by their products.

I bought 2018 with all the bells and whistles. As soon I bring it home I see paint chipping off from the side doors. I also paid extra $1000 dollars for paints, underneath and leather dash protection. I went back to local dealer Centaur Subaru and they told me its not covered and I have to contact Subaru Canada. I just ignore it and keep driving. After driving on highway I was washing front fender and to my surprise 1" paint peel off including 3M protection.

I took an appointment with the same dealer and met with Subaru Canada rep which did nothing to help me out instead he gave me a touch paint for free. I sold my car for less than $10,000 the price I paid only with in few months and car was still under 7000 kms.

I read lots of reviews before buying it but car will not be worth if paint job is not done right. Also it take too much time and slow in picking up the speed . Will never buy any Subaru in my life.
